Located within the Mitcham Shopping Centre, this place will produce gorgeous flower arrangements set to brighten anyone's day. I'm not a girl that expects or even loves flowers, however it's always nice to be a recipient nonetheless. I believe it's the thought behind the gesture that make flowers one of the sweetest gifts- next to chocolate of course. The flowers within this pretty florist are reasonably priced, colourful and arranged perfectly. With so many gorgeous bouquets on display, this is a very busy little shop that is worth the visit. He denied it until she showed him the buried pieces underneath. The replacements were much better. However, when we all paid, we found out the total was much more than calculated because they charge an extra $3 for Chicken in the Chicken Caesar Salad! We had also found out afterward that they charge an extra dollar on top per person because it is a Public Holiday. Never heard of that in my life! They could have mentioned it somewhere at least.. Centennial Park Florist is located across the road from Centennial Park Cemetary and have been…read morelocated here for many years. It is a thriving small business which has been servicing the majority of funeral flower supplies to the cemetary for decades. It has not undergone any facelifts at all over the years and it supplies the cheapest flowers found anywhere in SA. There are always cars parked out the front on the road side with potential customers for across the road, as it is not a safe place to park but is the only place to park! There is a small section next to the florist where cars can pull in but usually only enough room for one. And reversing out is fun and games into the on coming traffic. There are always displays of flowers in white buckets out the front and you can't miss it, but try to avoid side swiping the cars parked there. So yes the shop is very basic but very handy for the cemetary and passing traffic for a quick gift on the way home.

There is lots of choice, and even some of your more exotic fruits and veggies can be found here. They often have some really good specials too. I picked up some punnets of strawberries for $1.49. Bargain! Probably the best thing about this grocers though is that the fruit and veggies are full of flavour, almost as good as home grown. Half the crap I buy from the supermarket I may as well be eating cardboard. Service is pretty good, and you don't need to wait long to be served.

I can't quite put my finger on it but it does have a certain kind of feel once I walk in. The location is good and the burst of the red canopy out the front adds to the effect, as I'm greeted with various plants in a rainbow of colours. But they do add a touch of whimsy as the florist changes the varieties often, so it's different each time I go in there. The frontage is understated and nicely framed by the red canopy as mentioned plus the decorative grape vine, a few hanging baskets on the side and some Yuccas in green pots along the side also. On this particular day there was a clear glass vase of lotus pods on their long stems, which I love as it's a purely architectural part of the plant (and I love architecture)! Dry twig wreaths and no decoration required for the Morticia in me, pretty little gifts randomly placed enabling the visitor to have a search in the garden type treasure hunt. Overall a great florist with a modern twist on arrangements for any occasion and I wish the smell can be bottled for home use!

I'm sure I have converted a lot of people once they have received one of her personalised arrangements. Alice has always taken the time to chat on the phone and listen to what I am after - and has perfectly catered to the situation at hand every single time. 10/10 from me
