I contacted three home stagers and decided to go with Showhomes because of their price--which was more reasonable that others--and the terms of the contract (flat rate for 3 months). Michelle was very helpful. She suggested a little bit of painting and replacing the dining room chandelier, and I took her advice (she hired the painter, bought the new chandelier, and had it installed). She sent me numerous photos of the staging as it was beginning and then when finished. No other relatives could believe it was the same house; and best of all, we have a good offer within a week and closed six weeks later. That said, I was very disappointed that they did not save my aunt's crystal chandelier as promised, never returned my numerous emails or calls about it over the course of two months; and when I finally got ahold of someone, she lied about it, claiming she had sent me numerous emails and assumed I didn't want it since I didn't reply. I did not get any emails (I checked both in and junk), so I asked her to send me copies because I'd be interested in seeing them. She said she'd get back right to me, never did; and when I finally reached her again, she said I should have contacted her earlier. Since I had tried to reach the company for more than two months, this was outrageous and I didn't appreciate being blamed for their screw up. Had they just admitted their mistake and apologized, that would be one thing. But the way this was handled was very unprofessional, so I have to lower their rating to four instead of five stars.
