Very dissatisfied. Ordered pictures to print on my own and they are extremely pixelated and would not print. I called Prestige/Lifetouch and of course they are overseas and they were zero help. I asked if this was normal and they said yes. If you pay for the picture rights and order a copy you should not get the warning that picture is going to have issues with the pixels. My son had his senior portraits done today, and I must admit that due to the online reviews, I was apprehensive about what the experience would be like. I am happy to report that the experience was spectacular! We did not have to wait long at all to get checked in and started. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly! The photographers did an amazing job with my son's grad shots! PLEASE give this place a chance. They are rock stars! read more

After a rough first appointment, I took my daughter in for retakes and we got Claire as our photographer this time around. She was so kind and genuinely seemed happy to do her job. She made sure my daughter was confident in her retakes and made sure we loved every photo. Would highly recommend her at this location! read more

This review is based off our photography session and staff. I did order a photograph and will update my review when I see it in person. The wait wasn't too bad. We arrived early, so I expected to wait. The staff were well organized and called in students in a timely manner. The staff seemed patient with each student and parent as well (which, as a parent, I do appreciate). As a special needs parent, I did include a note in our reservation to allow us a few extra moments as my son has Autism. The lady at the desk reassured me that the photographers understand and she herself has a nephew with Autism. (What a relief to this Autism mom!). The photographers were great and it was pretty organized. There was one thing I didn't like .They advertised 4 outfits when we got there he said we could only use 2 outfits. We had spent money on the other outfits so that upset me. False advertisement. otherwise everything else was fine. read more

Why would any highschool choose this place for students' senior portraits was beyond me. The quality of the photos are not studio quality at all! To capture such a milestone you'd think a photography studio would want to provide a memorable product. I am highly disappointed in the school's choice and the photography studio. Great places for seniors and family portraits. The staffs are very courteous and nice. The places is clean and I keptseeing staff using cleaner to sanitized equipment and materials after each used. Very important for dealing with COVID-19. Only things I don't like is there phone and recording systems. Very inconvenient and difficult to get hold of a live operator for simple questions. This place is terrible. My son's senior portrait appt was 11am, we get there 10-15 min early. The front desk person told us to write our names down on the clip board. 30 min later he comes back to me and asked did you sign in? I replied yes while I said this he was showing me the sign in sheet he crossed our name our and took back the 2 people after us. I ask then you going to pull us back now he said we will get you back quickly. 30 min later we get pulled back. The photographer was nice Tucker, but the photos were not good. He was showing us some of the photos and I asked are these it? He said we have to it them. They were dark with poor lighting. Only took few shots with the back round we chose. The cap and gown photos took longer. Were only supposed to be there for 1 hr. We ended being there for almost 2 hrs. There was no one there when we left. This is a terrible place. read more

Not recommended if you want your child to sit or lean on furniture that looks like it's never been cleaned in 30 yrs! The backgrounds are meh, the props are weak but the staff is nice so I'll give it to her. She really did try to take some amazing photos but it really didn't work out. But I'm grateful for her patience with my daughter even asked if I would reschedule. Please note this review isn't about the staff, she's great. But you need to replace a lot of your props that are old and dingy/gross with hand dirt etc and items falling apart. Example the couch has gross stains everywhere and then my daughter was given a rose that fell apart with the wire exposed. read more

First of all, I would like to mention I had an awful experience in the prestige portrait studio located by Sacramento in Citrus Heights, I decided to come to this studio located in Elk Grove to retake my pictures, and this is where I was assisted by Tucker. a genuinely dedicated photographer, aside from being friendly and being very professional he made sure to make sure I felt welcomed, he went out of his way to ensure my pictures were taken to my liking along taking into mind my concerns. Tucker completely changed my perspective on Prestige Portrait as a business with this excellent customer service. Tucker definitely deserves recognition and I would recommend this location rather than others if you have the opportunity to come take your pictures here! read more

Honestly would be less than a star if possible. I get that it's senior portrait photos season, but you'd have to think they shouldn't overbook if they can't handle it. We came 15 minutes earlier to our appointment and waited over an hour. The entire time, we also saw people who came in after get to the photo-booth first and my sister had to ask before realizing that they even forgot to put her in the queue in the first place. Then there's something about her high school background being complicated. Glad she's the youngest sibling because I'd hate to ever deal with them again. read more

Terrible company!!! Looooong story short. My daughter had her senior photos set up to take today. This company sent nothing short of a minimum of 5 emails on tips and ideas for the photos. Reminders and checklists on what to bring. When we arrive all it was was yearbook photos and they told me I'd have to set up another appointment to do the other.... no where in the emails did it ever state that so I asked for a refund. Keep in mind I spent money on her nails, hair and makeup like they suggested to get the best photos. So then Carol from Elk Grove calls and says she will process my refund and it's no problem. I informed her of what happen and her response was she doesn't know why I'm upset I'm getting a refund and she isn't aware of any emails..... couldn't have had a smarter person with actual customer service skills call?? NEVER use this awful company and if your forced too make sure you call to find out what your actually getting because they lie. If I could give this business zero stars, I would. It has been over a month since my son took his senior portraits, no email or anything to view the proofs. The website to enter the session ID is completely useless. Tried calling and emailing multiple times, no response. How do they stay in business operating this way? After reading the reviews, I wasn't expecting much. One star off because they don't seem to answer the phone or return calls. When we arrived today, we were greeted right away. They were busy, but all of the staff was very friendly. The young man who was our photographer was excellent! He really made it fun, even though my daughter hates having her picture taken. He definitely knew exactly how to get the right pose, and was very good at the little details. We can't wait to see the pictures once they're ready. It was a great experience! read more

We had pictures taken with Prestige for our Church directory. We bought a family trio with frame. The picture arrived with the frame coming apart at the corners, no glass to protect it and had two little scratches on the pictures. So I reordered. The replacement came with a big bubble through the picture. Ordered another replacement and that came all bent. The packaging had a big crease through it and so did the picture. Horrible quality. Paid over $160 and still don't have a good picture to hang on the wall. Customer service was nice- very apologetic. I would even pick up the picture, if that was possible, to ensure I get one that is ok. read more

I took my senior portraits here on Friday and the staff was great and I was able to choose which picture I wanted in the yearbook on the spot. Our photographer even let me have a sneak peek at the photos he took. Check in process was pretty fast and easy as well. I originally was scheduled for the deluxe package but decided to see if I could upgrade to the ultimate package since I wanted to take photos with more than one outfit and the people at the front desk said it would be no problem . Not sure why they schedule appointments when they are going to be well over an hour late. This is our third time and they have never been on time. Thank goodness this is our last time. Can't imagine that the local schools don't have other options than this place. The school district needs to go with a different studio especially considering the amount of money they are making off this. read more

I've had a very bad experience with this location and I haven't even stepped in. My son made his appointment online for his graduation pictures. He scheduled for Wednesday the 23rd @1:10pm. We got there a bit early and realized they didn't open til 1pm. We waited and no one opened at 1, we called the number, recording said they couldn't pick up "due to high call volume ". i then called the 877 number and they couldn't help, apparently they have no idea how to get ahold of anyone from this location. We waited til almost 2pm. We finally decided to leave. This was such an inconvenience we waisted a $40 hair cut that my son didn't quiet needed yet, I had to take the afternoon off from work for nothing. And now have to reschedule and have to miss work again and spend money on a haircut again. read more

A complaint will go to the school as well, but I'm making this review because I'm helpless otherwise. A view of my daughter's senior picture is being withheld until I pay for the session done at her school. We're told initially by the school that this is free. So I would like to see the picture to determine if I would like to pay the enormous amounts quoted in other reviews for a physical photo, but I cannot even see it until I fork over $20. We're tricked...as the photo for the yearbook is free, but not the ability to even look at it. Why would I dish out my hard earned money for something I haven't even seen. I would think a good business practice would be to show the parent the photo to wow them and encourage them to spend ridiculous amounts of $$ on one photo. What a terrible position to be in as a parent. I get that it's only $20, but it's the round about sketchy way of obtaining that money from me that's pissing me off. This was an overall bad experience, highlighted by the lack of customer service and a poor photographer!  It's important that I write a review about Prestige Portraits Elk Grove so parents can be informed about their decision to go through with their services.  There was a technical issue while viewing my son's senior portrait proofs.  Initially, I could view them, but as soon as the problem arose, I was passed around on a trail of help tickets and telephone calls for almost a month.  This is unacceptable in any type of business.  So much of my time and energy was wasted.  In addition, on the day of my son's senior photo shoot, the female Asian photographer was unresponsive and rushed us to exit the studio.  There was very little quality control of the photos taken.  One bad thing led to another in this studio, and it's not worth any potential customer's time. read more

Place runs like a well oiled machine. Good to see the hiring of so many young people and it's obvious management has trained them well.

It really doesn't get much worse. However, the front greeters were very nice and efficient. "Photographer" could not possibly have been trained except in how to hold a camera and press a button. No personality. Not helpful one bit. She took the obligatory 4 shots just right in a row so all 4 were essentially the same. She could've cared less what my daughter's portrait looked like (this was for yearbook only). Then you have to go back in to choose your pose rather than doing it online. This is very inconvenient, especially since they don't open till 2:00 and I would guess half of their clientele does not live in Elk Grove. They really don't care about being better because they've got a corner on the market: yearbook photos. I think we should all revolt and go elsewhere. read more

It has been seven weeks and six calls, two of which have apparently been to supervisors. No pictures. We did the simplest package possible, just the yearbook photos, and we're running out of time to choose which one goes in the yearbook. We have been lied to by several staff; some said it would just be a few more days (weeks ago), some said they knew where our pictures are. We found out that they have been lost. My photographer never identified me with the photos we took. We don't even know what to do anymore. A supervisor promised to call us back, and never did. We don't want to go back to pay for pictures again, especially with our schedules being busy. We feel pretty much helpless. Tldr: horrible customer service, lying, lost our pictures, we can't get any help. read more

Seriously? $75 for a single 8x10? The least expensive package with an 8x10 is $339! Having a senior in high school is expensive enough without these people trying to price gouge you for senior portraits. And what's the deal with taking senior portraits 2 weeks after they complete their junior year? Do they honestly think my kid is going to look the same by the time graduation actually comes around in a years time? The entire senior portrait deal is a complete scam and these people should be ashamed at the prices they're charging. Since this is the only place you can get yearbook pictures taken, they're using it to their advantage and trying to screw people. Let them take the yearbook picture...we'll be going somewhere else to have senior portraits taken that is more reasonable. read more

WAY TO EXPENSIVE!! For indoor School look-a-like photos, the pricing is insane! I was about to hire a professorial outdoor photographer and receive the photos on a CD for the price of these cheesy photos. I received 15 proofs and could only choose 1 or 2 photos?
