I'd been attending an Adventure Boot Camp in San Jose for the past year, and knew I needed to keep the exercise going. Plus, I was hoping to meet some people since I knew no one here. I discovered the Lake Oswego Adventure Boot Camp after a disappointing try at a different camp. I've been with them since August and what a fun summer and fall it's been! The fantastic trainers are Katie and Noelle; they are very energetic, supportive, and funny, even at 5:30am! Every workout has been unique; I can't think of one complete repeat. That keeps things interesting, challenging, and definitely not boring. I've consistently burned 400+ calories (as per my heart rate monitor) each workout, which for me is awesome. If you can't do a move, they provide alternate exercises to avoid injury. We use weights, move around the park (but will be moving indoors for the winter next month), and have fun doing it. They have camps at 5:30am, 7am, and 8:30am, 4 days a week. And if you want an evening class, they have their "Power Half-hour", which I haven't taken, but I hear it's quite challenging and fun too. I drive 10 miles to get to their location (Foothills Park for outdoor, and the Wizer's building for winter) - at 5:30am. The best part is that when the hour is over, you've gotten a great workout done, and you're wide awake and ready to start your day. Thanks Katie & Noelle!

I was hesitant at first because I am not in the best shape and I was concerned that it would be to hard for me, but Katie makes each work out customized to your fitness level. I knew I was having a good time, because the hour flew by, and I knew I was getting a good work out, because I was sore after every class. Beyond the results you will see in the mirror, Katie (and Noelle) are very sweet, caring ladies who really have your best interest at heart, and want you to success in your fitness goals. I couldn't recommend it more.

They make the classes worth coming back for, and I'm grateful for the energy and quality they bring. That said, I am extremely disappointed with some of the gym's recent decisions. First, moving cycle classes out of the dedicated cycle room and into the downstairs group fitness room was a huge downgrade. Adding bikes to that space makes it cramped, and the experience is nowhere near as good. Cycle classes are significantly better in a dark room with loud music, where you can focus on the ride and get immersed in the experience. That atmosphere is now gone. What makes this decision even more frustrating is WHY the cycle room was taken away: to create a paid relaxation room. It has been open for months, and in all the time I've been coming to the gym 4-5 days a week, I have **never once seen anyone using it.** Not once. An excellent, functional space that was used for popular fitness classes has effectively been taken away to create a room that sits empty. It feels like a decision made to generate additional revenue rather than improve the member experience. It is a terrible waste of space, and frankly, it makes me angry to see a great class environment sacrificed for something that appears to have little to no use. Second, the group fitness room needs a better selection of hand weights. The weights available top out at just 7 pounds, which simply isn't enough for many of our classes. We regularly have to go upstairs and borrow weights from the fitness floor. Other 24 Hour Fitness locations provide heavier weights for group classes, and this location should, too. Please add 12-, 15- and 20-pound hand weights so members can properly participate without having to track down equipment elsewhere. I want to love this gym because the instructors and group fitness community are fantastic. Christine and Tiffany are standouts, and the classes are a big reason I keep showing up. But the loss of the cycle room, the seemingly unused paid relaxation room, and the lack of appropriate weights are all avoidable frustrations. I hope management will reconsider these decisions and start prioritizing the experience of the members who show up consistently, week after week.

I even told a gentleman with a cleaning shirt on about having a paper towel machine empty. He told me to tell the people at the front desk about it. I was on a treadmill today that hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The only clean ones are the ones that don't work. If you are thinking about joining this gym. Walk around and check out the bathrooms and machines to see how dirty they are. Can't wait for my year to be up. And I will never pay for a year in advance again.

Fortunately, the wrong trainer turned out to be Alberto -- who ended up being the right trainer (for me)! As of the time of writing this, I've been working out with Alberto twice each week for over a year. One of the first things he did was help me recalibrate my diet/macros, which wasn't something that my previous trainer (a few years ago) spent much time with me. The approach was customized to my own health and performance goals. Having an opportunity to work with him, he has a good cadence of going into a targeted zone for around a month and then begins to shift. This has helped me get better at planning my solo workouts (i.e., if I know I have another big leg day coming up -- I might focus elsewhere the days leading into it). Results? Down ~20lbs and just got back from a session where I broke my personal best for deadlifting. I've never felt stronger. My only hesitation in recommending Alberto is that more people might make him less available for me. :-)

Love Orange Theory Happy Valley! I haven't been to any other locations so my review is specific to…read morethis location. Pros: Class availability and sign-up: Easy to find class times via the app. I haven't had any issues getting in and sounds like the only waitlists tend to be for the 5 am. Good to know: This location does close early on weekends which is fine for me since I only have time to workout during the week. Efficient class time: they honor the 60 min which is great. Half tread and half floor and I'm walking out the door on time - I've been to other workouts that regularly go over by as much as 15 min and it's really hard to plan for. Good to know: You can be up to 10 min late to a class if something happens. If you miss a class you will be charged. Instructors: they're so great and positive. All three I've been to have been wonderful. They definitely keep the energy up and create an environment where everyone is welcome. Also provide guidance on proper form which is helpful. Space: Very clean. Showers on site. Everyone is supposed to wipe down equipment after use. Floor space is also clean and all the treads and machines are in good repair. Good to know: floor stations are close together so if you like a little more space- sign up to be with the group that has fewer people to start the workout, usually the floor since most folks like to start on the treads. Accessibility: There's lots of parking and it's a convenient location. Overall: it's a great workout that combines cardio with strength. You work at your own pace and it's a place where all ages, bodies and fitness levels can feel welcome. Good to know: your membership allows you to take classes at any Orange Theory in the country.

You cant access the class schedule times online without signing up and giving all your information to them. If they could show their class schedule openly on their website it would greatly benefit the public thats interested in possibly trying a class.

They were all very helpful in introducing me to machines, but it was not until I started working with Leo that I understood how a fitness routine could help my aging body. I am a woman in her 60s and I found it frustrating that there was no Trainer/Coach who was my age. I was waiting for my Husband to finish his workout and talking to Leo when I told him of my frustration. He introduced me to the research of Dr. Lyon and in August 2026 he started helping me to create a fitness routine that strengthened my agin g body. He has helped both my husband and I to make a lifestyle change that counteracts the effects of aging and hormone. In one month I have lost about 10 pounds but more importantly I have built muscles and increased my strength. I am able to keep up with my Grandchildren and I can walk my dogs 6-8 miles a day instead of just one. After a workout with Leo, I often tell him that I will probably curse him the next morning due to stiffness and muscle pain. The truth is that I have yet to curse him. Leo's focus on form, working on specific muscle groups, and protein diet has resulted in quicker recovery time and a reduction of issues due to my arthritis. I have noticed that more people my age are starting to go to the gym and I can highly recommend Leo to help you create a life routine that will only enhance your life

After being unable to properly use that leg for more than 11 months, I had also experienced significant weight gain and lost a lot of strength throughout my body. I've been working with Leo for about six weeks now, and I'm grateful for the progress I've made. I'm down 13 pounds, my knee is getting stronger, and I'm regaining strength and confidence throughout my body. Leo is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. He takes the time to make sure I'm using the equipment correctly and performing each exercise with proper form so I don't have any new injuries and I am confident throughout my recovery. I'm so grateful for the support and guidance Leo has given me during this season of my life. He has helped me tremendously--not only with my physical recovery, but also with getting stronger and moving forward after such a difficult injury. If you're looking for a trainer who is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping you reach your goals, I highly recommend Leo. He's been an incredible part of my journey, and I'm so thankful to have him in my corner!

You are not locked into any long term memberships that I found at other gyms. When it comes to equipment they offer all the things you need. Overall FFL is my recommendation for a no frills gym that offers excellent value for your money. I don't think you will be able to find other gyms that compete on this level in the area.

This is a small but very well-kept gym right across the street from Market of Choice. Even though the place is not that big and the basement-like location=no windows, there are plenty of machines, weights, medicine balls, etc. I usually never have to wait for a treadmill. The bathrooms & machines are spotless, the staff is really nice, and I just get a good feeling after working out here. There are free yoga/pilates/aerobic etc classes you can take, so check out their schedule. Times to avoid: 4-6PM. Lots of after-work folks here during this time. The one downside of going to a small, locally owned gym: really limited hours. They close at 9, which is fine during the summer when I have plenty of time, but other times, I prefer to work out late at night!
