They were into the job in minutes pulling out a number of tiles. Dave knew exactly what he was doing though and the problem was identified as leadwork round the soil pipe. As the soil pipe was not connected to anything, they removed it and the lead, put in a section of lathe to replace a rotting area and fetched in a new tile to fill the gap. We watched in wonder and were able to see photos of the problem area on photos from his mobile phone. Fast, efiicient and a good price. Look no further for your roofer.

I originally hired Gary to do two small jobs to the roof of my flat and on completing them successfully, Gary 'notified me' of another problem. He then used a gently-gently approach to gain my trust and once he had this, he advised me that if this job wasn't done then there would be serious structural implications for the entire flat and that it was incredibly urgent. Over 7 months, with unsightly scaffolding up around the property, we were held at ransom, bullied and essentially blackmailed in order to part with more money. As soon as I began to realize he was a fraudster, I confronted him about the lack of progress on the roof and where all the money I paid him had supposedly gone. I was initially met with aggression but then pretty soon after that, radio silence at which point he refused to speak with me. So in summary, he lied about the cause of the job (it didn't need doing), he then put up scaffolding outside my house for 7 months, the only work he ever did was to take tiles OFF my roof and just left the house bare, he then just got aggressive and then refused to turn up for work. I had to pay someone to re-tile the roof and take the scaffolding away. Please contact me before even thinking about working with this guy. DONT WORK WITH THIS GUY!!!

That got pushed back as his previous job overran. We were understanding of that and he promised to start on Monday. On Friday he confirmed again that they would arrive between 9.30 and 10 on Monday. Monday morning no sign of him. I rang him at 10.30 and was told the van broke down and had to go into the garage. Why couldn't he call at 9 when he would have set off? I took time of work for nothing! At 3 that day he rang and positively confirmed, yes we will be there tomorrow before 10.30. Jim (Michael's dad) and his crew arrived around 11.15, but completely unprepared and unaware of the job. I had to explain the whole job again to Jim and he said, oh I don't have the right machines with me, I'll have to rent them (to get rid of some tree trunks, as discussed with Michael). We will come back tomorrow, before 10, as it would be much easier and quicker with the right equipment. Wednesday morning at 9.30 Jim rang. I'm here to pick up the equipment but I want £ 2K more to do this job or I am not coming because it will be too much labour, but Michael always said he had to quote more because of the labour. We did not agree to this blackmailing and told them we will hire someone else! AVOID IF POSSIBLE!
