It was a large project! We live in a neighborhood of 1.5M+ homes and were haggled and up charged by other vendors ..our advice, save the headache with other companies and just call Guardian. Their knowledge, skill, precision, punctuality and customer service is top notch. From the beginning to the end of the project they have guided us and have done an immaculate job. We had dark cherry woods to work with and wanted to tone down the color but also allow it to flow with our dark staircase and blend into the new. They aided in finding a match that coordinated and flowed without taking away from the home. It's rare to find the tenacity and quality this company exudes. Typically everything is subcontracted out with most companies which is not the case with Guardian. The owners are hands on and invested in the project just as much their team is. And an added bonus they have a veteran on the team!

We contacted Guardian Flooring Advancements to see what our options would be to have the floors refinished. WOW!!! What a wonderful, amazing job!!! They sanded, stained, and put the final coat on those old hardwood floors. They made those 157 year old floors look practically brand new!!

The estimate was less than I expected...and..he showed up the next day to pick up the items....and....get this....ON TIME ! definitely something wrong with him....really....what contractor shows up on time ?? most have graduated summa cum laude from the Comcast school of rank non-professionalism. He is also going to build some custom cabinets to show off my beer coaster and matchbook collection. In short, this man took my $2000 deposit, and over nearly two years (pre-COVID), failed to complete a single task in the contract. I asked for my money back and sent a demand letter. Dave gave excuses such as other jobs running over, personal injuries/limitations, family health issues, etc. He complained about how many times he had to come to my house to talk about the plans. While I admit that I did have an evolving vision that sometimes needed a face to face discussion, most of his trips were for his benefit, not mine (e.g., had to re-measure several times and even asked me to take measures to send). He stated that his right to keep the deposit was based on work already done. I never saw anything done. He also tried to withhold some of my items as "collateral" and in legal terms, that's called theft. I eventually had to make a trip to his workshop to pick up my property. I cannot speak to the quality of Dave's work, but I can share with you that he took advantage of someone in a state of grieving. I felt bad for each of his reasons as to why he couldn't finish the project because I was in a fragile state. In hindsight, I was manipulated. Dave may respond to this with unsubstantiated excuses. Near the end of my correspondence wit Dave, he sent me a final invoice that was $4000 over my quoted price stating that the job had caused him extra work and travel that was not anticipate. Again, I share with you that he NEVER DID ANYTHING in my house. Please choose a different carpenter to save yourself some time and money, and some very likely heartache.

We have used Footprints Floors multiple times when replacing carpet with LVP flooring. They have…read morealways done an amazing job! And they did not disappoint once again. The people who work here truly care and are great at what they do! We recently had a water leak downstairs resulting in replacing the 4 year old LVP flooring with new LVP. They were able to get us on the calendar last week and finish laying the floor. So thankful they could do this done before Thanksgiving. We will be having them come back in January and do our stairs.

Our experience with Footprint Floors was a complete waste of money, compelling me for the first…read moretime to warn potential customers about Footprint Floor's gross incompetence and lack of professionalism. Initially, "Tom" (the contractor) and "Luis" (the worker) projected an image of competence and concern for our home and vision, misleading us into feeling confident in our choice of company. By the end this feeling was completely gone. Before leaving our home, we had explicitly and carefully chosen a grey color for our floors. Upon our return 3 days later, we found the floors to be unmistakably brown. Furthermore, our walls were stained and marked, and our lights wouldn't turn on because the breaker switch had been turned off and left unscrewed on the floor, demonstrating a blatant disregard for our property. When we contacted the company to address these issues, we agreed to meet at 12:30. They arrived 30 minutes late. When they finally showed up, we voiced our concerns to Tom, who exhibited a shocking lack of accountability and professionalism. Before the painting had started, we repeatedly asked Luis about whether the color would change once the project was done, he assured us multiple times that it would stay EXACTLY the same. When confronted about the brown color, Luis absurdly claimed he told us the wood would look "more lively" (whatever that meant) and then had the audacity to laugh in our faces. Both Tom and Luis stubbornly refused to acknowledge the glaring color discrepancy, absurdly insisting it was the EXACT same as we had chosen. They bluntly stated there was nothing they could do about it. Given their blatant denial of the obvious color difference, discussing the other issues we had was pointless. Ultimately, I had to tell Tom and Luis to leave my house as I could no longer stand them. I begrudgingly paid and spoke to "Terrance," the project manager, who offered a feeble and insincere apology before leaving. After they were gone, my girlfriend and I were left feeling extremely frustrated and stressed. What began as a seemingly positive experience morphed into a nightmare, revealing that none of the people there actually cared about addressing our concerns. Footprint Floors is, without a doubt, the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their sheer lack of professionalism, accountability, and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction is appalling. This company caused us immense distress and frustration and I strongly urge everyone to avoid Footprint Floors at all costs.
