Dr. Sudbury was amazing and did my Hysterectomy. He is very nice, listened to my problems, and talked to me every step of the way. I am giving this 1 star because the staff is very rude. I am disabled and need assistance walking so my mom helps me to walk, They would not let her help me even though we kept telling them I'm disabled and need assistance. I was treated terribly by the staff and looked at like a parasite. I also stopped going here because the lovely office manager yelled at me and my mom when we asked her a question. The office manager took it completely unto herself to cancel all my upcoming appointments as well as not letting me return and make a new appointment.I had to cancel an Ultrasound Dr. Sudbury ordered because she would not let me come back and its not just that, like I said the staff is rude. read more

I had my first appointment yesterday with Dr. Aguin of Premier OB/GYN. Even though I'm 65, I needed to find a GYN here. I was extremely impressed with the office staff and especially Dr. Aguin. This was my first appointment and he came into the exam room up to speed on my prior medical issues. I found him to be a great listener and very good at explaining things to me. I have confidence he is the right GYN for me. They also offer 3-D mammography. The office staff is great too. read more

Worst communication ever. About 1 year ago, I had an abnormal Mammogram, after an exhausting phone tag and finally a conversation with the admin, I went into the office to get information. I was told to have an ultrasound in 6 months. Made that appointment, waiting for the results...from the day of the appointment November 1, 2022; it too me until today (November 22, 2022) to get the results with an extremely unpleasant technician, Stacy x307. Avoid this office at all costs. They are EXTREMELY disorganized. The doctor is nice but it's not even worth going in for an appointment because of the awful staff. It took ages to make an initial appointment. The receptionist was snotty. I was waiting in a room for TWO HOURS before the doctor even saw me. No explanation was given, and no apology either. I even had to step out and ask if I was forgotten about. Constant miscommunication between staff, their neighboring office and the doctors. The staff are so patronizing, they will never admit they made a mistake but instead make you feel like you did something wrong. I guess it's also a pattern for them to "forget to note" important information you've explained to them in appointments as well and they act clueless and accuse you of keeping THEM in the dark. If you can be referred to another office, do it. I would never suggest giving this place a chance. It's not worth the headache. read more

Pros- CLEAN and very big space. Staff are extremely nice and welcoming. Very professional. Convenient location Cons- On multiple occasions phone call was not returned 24-48 hours which is really inconvenient-especially if you work a full time job. And they close Friday- will play phone tag for 1-2 weeks And i know you should expect to wait a while. But when you again work a full time job that has the same schedule as them. I'm new to this area and took two weeks to find a practice that fit my needs. Unfortunately, this wasn't it. The practice claims that they could not verify my insurance and reached out to me. I reached back to them with my insurance company on the phone to verify the information. I show up for my appointment as I am 20 weeks pregnant after waiting two weeks!! I am told that I would not be seen because of the insurance verification. The supervisor in the front office comes to the window and says that they left me three voicemails. I provide the card and ask why they didn't tell me they were canceling the appointment. I go outside to my car to call my insurance company again to verify the information. I take the phone back inside with my insurance company on the phone and now the supervisor wouldn't speak to me. Patient care is obviously not their priority. Money and verifying insurance is. The lack of customer service and patient care demonstrated by the front office staff is awful! No one one understanding of the fact that I'm 20 weeks pregnant waited two weeks for this appointment as my family just relocated to the area from up north 3 weeks ago. Checking on my health and my baby should have been the priority however ensuring that they would get paid is theirs. Stay away!!!!!!!!! read more

I seen doctor Glenn 9/19/2022. I found it odd that they needed a credit card on file. Then I sit in the exam room for 30 minutes or more. Finally see the doctor and doesn't go over any of the problems of my health or PCOS. I felt rushed. He didn't want to exam me or give me a pap test. But I also didn't push for the pap test because there was no nurse in the room with us and Dr.Glenn creeped me out. On all that he wanted to take me off my estradiol because he said there were to many side effects to it,like heart attack, stroke and cancer. I told him I know the side effects but I'M also on the lowest dose. He then said I had to be put on another medicine because he refused to continue my old medicine. Now the new medicine has so many more side effects and yes they do cause heart attack, stroke and cancer. I will not take this medicine. Here is the best part, my old medicine cost under $5.00. The new medicine cost $146.99. All about getting a cut back on this medicine he prescribed. Will find another doctor for gynecology and my medicine. Dr. Shen has been taking care of me for a few years now. She's hilarious, witty, and always professional. She addresses any and all concerns and doesn't push them off to the side. The office has been extremely clean the number of times I have visited. Some visits I wait in the room longer than other visits before I see her, but they do service a lot of patients. I didn't schedule an appointment as I was told I was required to provide a credit card and authorize billing for all expenses not covered by my insurance. I get doctors need to be paid for services and I have insurance which will cover most of their expenses. I also pay all my bills. I think it's unreasonable for a doctor office to require me to essentially sign a blank checks to their office. Plus, if the Dr. overcharges, and I've agreed to this billing policy, it's now my burden to take the doctor's office to court to get it fixed. The medical office has no incentive to correct billing errors and will make more money by overcharging patients, who would be legally required to pay if they authorized the office to bill their credit card. read more

I'm pregnant with my second daughter and was encouraged to visit Premier by several people - all for the same reason - Dr. Shen is AMAZING! Out of the three doctors I saw, she is definitely top notch and I'm so disappointed that she won't be delivering my daughter. I'm a few days shy of 35 weeks, which happens to be when I delivered my first daughter. I was well aware that this office only had privileges at Lakewood Ranch. I didn't think it would be an issue at all as I assumed it would be a good/great hospital. After finally being able to tour the maternity/delivery area I was immensely disappointed. I first delivered at Sarasota Memorial which was perfect in so many ways, so perhaps I had high standards, but Lakewood Ranch fell short in so many ways. My husband and daughter were just as unimpressed. I decided to let the office know that I would not feel comfortable delivering at LWR and explained my reasoning. Dr. Lin seemed to be personally offended and "strongly encouraged" me MULTIPLE times to find another office. Did I mention I was almost 35 weeks and have had a stressful pregnancy since day 1? This news was not conducive to a stress free end to my pregnancy. I did talk about my fears of having to search for a new provider at such a late time, and explained that I didn't mind who delivered since my previous OB didn't deliver my daughter the first time around anyway. I live around the corner from Premier and it was more convenient to continue my care here, then I would drive 45min to deliver at SMH. From there on out I felt all her tension, the repeated you'll need to find another office, oh but we can't not give you care, but you are "strongly encouraged" to find someone else. Utterly disappointing! I think Dr. Shen would have handled it much better in a kinder and more professional manner. I've spent hours calling different offices to be told that I'm too far along and they will not take me at at this stage. Thanks a lot Premier for your "outstanding" customer service, your aiding in my stress levels at this stage, and your wonderful manner in dealing with patients when you find out they are choosing what is best for them. Bravo!! If you do plan to give birth at LWR, best of luck, and I highly suggest working with Dr. Holly Shen!! You will not be disappointed!!! read more

I went to see Dr. Laterica Barton. She is very nice and professional. She is very informative and knows what she's doing. I recommend her. With COVID-19 going on, the office is very cautious. Men who came with the patients had to wait in their cars. People stay 6 feet apart and they give the patients free surgical masks if they didn't bring their own. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Shen for the past couple of years. She is amazing! We were able to figure out the cause of some issues I had been having for YEARS and having now been treated, I am back to feeling fantastic. I would and do recommend this office to others. For those who have had issues with the office staff, I'm sorry for you, but I've never experienced that. Occasionally there are longer than preferred waits, but nothing I haven't encountered at any other medical facility. I read the reviews on here before I made my appt for the first time...why did I think I would have a good experience, when so many clearly did not? Well, I figure, rude office staff? I get along with everyone! No big deal, kill 'em with kindness. But, being in the healthcare field myself, this is a field of customer service; as soo many fields of work/business are! Why should I try to win them over, when they should be pleased to have my business and be getting my money! Holy moly, can't even tell you how shockingly rude some of the people here are. Yes, the waits are always long (very long). OK, I can deal with that. But rudeness? Office staff acting like I'm stupid? Trying to correct me, talk over me (ma'am, ma'am!), transferring me immediately to someone else because they are lazy (so I have to recall to get them on the phone again), scheduling me for appointments I don't need (so I miss work, and they make their money-and yes, I agree with them being all about the money)? I don't need that! There are so many other obstetricians who would, I'm certain, want and desire to keep my business! Completely dishonest! First you will never get in to see the Doctor in a timely manner expect to wait 30-60 min for any visit. Second beware of their policies and bad medical coding. I had a procedure done and went in for my test results $30 copay to wait 30 minutes to see the Doctor for maybe 20 seconds. They refuse to give any results over the phone or by mail as they just want your money. When I had the procedure done again I refused to come in for my results as it is a waste of my time and money for them to tell me everything is normal and we'll keep watching it. So they dropped me as a payment. I had a $60 bill for the procedure which I paid and they cashed my check then only credited me for $30 saying my regular annual appointment was a $60 copay and I had a balance of $30 due. I have never in the past paid $60 for an office visit and my insurance had not changed. The Doctors are good but the office staff is horrible and policies are unrealistic. read more
