We…read morewere foolish enough to fall for their false advertising, which states that you get two round trip airfare tickets. The key sentence that is misleading is: "Travelers are responsible to pay airline taxes, booking fees, meals, tips, and gratuities." The offer then goes on to describe that tickets are for off-peak travel, must depart from a major US airport, and require 90 days lead time for travel dates. No where is the word "free" used, but the implication after reading is that the offer means that airfare will not be charged, especially after the key sentence listing what travelers will be paying. Travel Center then requires a $70 deposit. We sent in the deposit. Imagine our surprise to learn that the offer does charge for airfare, and that the Travel Center's quote was exactly the same as the airfare that we could easily find online. Their game is that they will charge $70 for reservations that can be done on the internet. They are a travel agency and nothing more, and their advertising is a complete lie. Apparently "booking fees" means airfare in their dictionary. So do not be taken in by their false and misleading ads, and do not send them any money for doing what you can do yourself. Worse, when I attempted to get our $70 refunded, and mentioned the Better Business Bureau, the manager there refused to return our money unless I wrote a letter stating that I would do nothing negative, such as contacting the BBB or writing on Yelp. At that point, this became a matter of principle rather than money. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau, am obviously writing on Yelp, and will contact the Attorney General of Maryland.
