That's okay (stuff happens), but I waited almost an hour to be told to go home. The staff said they would call me back the next day and they never did. After two days, I called them to book for a month from my current appointment because I was unable to make an appointment during work hours again for another month. It's helped tremendously with my TMJ. She is intuitive and with only one short description of what I am feeling, she finds the causes and fixes them quickly. Always a great experience. The front desk staff always accommodates me with last minute schedule changes and I never have to wait a long time to see the doctor. I drive to Hoboken from DUMBO in Brooklyn and I've been going since September and continue to go! Worth the drive in my opinion. In contrast to the other reviews, Dr. Alvarez does not push products or other therapies on me. She truly just listens to what is bothering me and is there to fix it. She has suggested some things to me here and there in the past, but never in a pushy, "out for your money" kind of way.

In addition, I had injured my shoulder and had lost all mobility and had continued pain with it when trying to wave to anyone or lift my arm up over my head or behind my back. I had pain with it for over 6 months and it was not improving. I am SO HAPPY I decided to try this place after reading great reviews. I had some pain relief after the very first session! I'm thrilled that my IT band issues are almost completely gone - she also suggests Chinese herb supplements that really DO help! I just started taking one that is getting rid of any lingering bit of soreness i have, and I'm so happy I can run again! As for my shoulder, I can now fully do prayer position (a yoga move) behind my back again! I can't believe it! Prior to coming here, I couldn't even get my hand behind my back, much less do prayer position! Needless to say, I highly recommend giving them a try! Dr. Lisa is incredibly nice, as is her entire staff. Pricing is quite reasonable for the results you get. *UPDATE* I've been taking the Chinese herb supplement for a week, and I just realized that I had a day that I did sprints on the treadmill in the morning, and then walked over 20K steps on a sightseeing day, and I had no IT band soreness! I honestly can't believe it! It used to be that I'd have soreness and pain after only a half hour of walking, much less the amount of activity I did all day! Plus, I won't need more of the supplement after I finish this 1 bottle. Dr. Lisa rocks! :)
