I added the business just so I can leave a review for prospective clients and WARN them! I got a…read morequote from several companies for my airport shuttle needs. I live quite close to the airport so I wanted the cheapest option as there are 6 of us and I figured if it didn't turn up I can just call a cab. They gave me a quote of $75 each way and I told them I had another business that can do it for $60 and asked if they can match or beat it. They went down to $50 if I provided a written quote. I told them I had an sms quote that I can forward to them if they like and this is when it turned ugly. They told me there are companies who deliver crap service and they are cheap cos something fishy's going on then he gave me a lecure about public liability disguised as his "concern" for my well being, told me they exposed several dodgy business over the years etc etc until he said the other quote that I gave didn't exist because he hadn't heard of them which I took offence to that as HE BASICALLY CALLED ME A LIAR! so I gave him the address where I found it on gumtree and thanked him for his concern and told him that if he can't help me i'll just go with the other guy. He came back and said he is going to report this business to the ministry of transport as they are unlicenced, and they will be terminated. I was taken aback as I felt used by this company to provide information from competitors to shut them down. i can't believe it!!! I told him he was being unprofessional as he used a prospective client for his personal gain. I hate dobbers and I hate businesses who actively BADMOUTHS other companies to make themselves look good. Pathetic!!!

Booked a disabled taxi last night at 7.30 pm for a 9.30pm pick up at Thirlmere to go to Buxton…read moreAt 9.30 no sign of the taxi, waited till about 9.40 and rang the company only to be told that the nearest disabled taxi was ay oran park. I asked the dispatch lady what was the point in making a booking and the taxi being in Oran Park, to which just hung up. This not the first time this sort of thing has happened, a few months ago same request and it showed up over 2 hours late

I booked the cab at 9am for that afternoon at 3.30. At 3.40 we were gettinga little worried that it hadn't turned up so I rang Camden Wollondilly cabs and was told we weren't even in the que yet and there was no guarantee that we would see a cab for at least 45 minutes! When I explained that I had booked it that morning, I was told I should have asked if the cab would definitely be there and to make matters worse the rude person on the phone told me I should have known to ask. What the??? Since when do you have to ask when booking a cab whether its going to show up? By then we were panicing and ran to a neighbour who thankfully was home and able to run us to the station. Never, ever again will I attempt to use Camden Wollondilly Cabs.

FREE! Yep, free bus, every 10 minutes around the main area of Parramatta…read more Number 900, they're usually bright green. Although the transport website claims they've only been in operation since earlier this year, I think it was just called something else previously. I'm pretty sure this was the first free bus loop in Sydney, and I remember going on it for the first time quite a few years ago. It goes from the interchange at the train station to Argyle and Macquarie Streets west, up O'Connell, past the Leagues Club to north Church Street, Prince Alfred Park, Lennox Bridge, Phillip Street, Parramatta Wharf (where you can catch the Rivercat), Charles and Macquarie Street and back to the interchange again. Phew. Actually, the whole loop only takes about 25 minutes, so you can jump on anywhere and get to anywhere you want in pretty darn quick time. I'm all for walking, but to save some weary feet and to keep cars off the road, this is a fantastic initiative for the community and tourists alike. The driver of one I caught the other day seemed a little harried at the other less-than-perfect vehicular operators on the road, for which the solution, I think, is more buses. More free ones. Yay.
