I wasn't quoted anything but instead given an invoice that ultimately totaled around $10,000 for the amended filing. Throughout the process, communication became difficult and unclear. I had to follow up multiple times for updates, and responses were often delayed (if received at all) or lacked detail about the status of my return. When questions arose about the work performed and the fees charged, I was ignored and once finally responded, I did not feel that my concerns were addressed in a transparent or professional manner. To this day, she still never provided a break down of why the amendment was so costly. The situation escalated when I attempted to dispute certain aspects of the service and billing. Instead of working toward a resolution, I was met with legal pressure, which made the experience significantly more stressful and adversarial than expected. She decided to hire a legal team outside of her insurance so that her investment advisor license wouldn't be jeopardized through filing a claim through her insurance. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this firm clearly define scope, pricing, and communication expectations in writing upfront.
