On my first visit, They tried to "sell" me a care plan to try and make it cheaper for me, thing is, it will suck up your benefits within three months if you go on it. Which will leave you having to pay out-of-pocket for the rest of the year, at least with my plan that only covers $800/yr that being "special services" Chiro, Physio & massage all wrapped into one. The service is good, but when I'm getting charged $55 per visit, I'm hoping to have some sort of privacy and more than a five minute visit with one small crack coming from my back. The face-to-face customer service from the dr. Is a little hard pressed when your face is already into a bed before he even walks in. There's no real discussion before he starts adjusting you about how your back is doing. Your face is already in the bed. There's a stranger 5 feet away from you on another bed and you can hear everything about their life and their condition. Lack of privacy in a doctor's office is new to me and not really the way I like to do my personal doctor appointments. The doctor is nice but again more time I feel should be spent with the patient and in a much more private setting for confidentiality reasons.

I believe this became the root cause of several health issues although weather changes increased the intensity of my headaches.  In my late thirties I had (3) rear-end car accidents in less than (4) years) that caused back and neck whiplash injuries.  Fast forward 40 years ...the soft tissue damage healed but I struggled regularly with severe headaches.  As time went on these headaches grew into migraines that became insufferable and more frequent. Each occurrence kept me bedridden for 12 to 30 hours before subsiding. During migraine attacks the pain was so excruciating it caused a stabbing pain through and behind one eye, horrible nausea, and intolerance to the slightest peep of light.  Since I couldn't function, I slept for most of the migraine duration. Painkillers only took a slight edge off the pain even when it was taken at the very onset. The pain wouldn't subside until my stomach 'exploded' through vomit.  This agony was endured for the better part of 20 years with the frequency increasing every year.  It was during one of my migraine episodes that Dr. Jerry (Smuszko) popped onto my Facebook feed with a message of hope to migraine sufferers.  The call I made that day changed my life. It has been almost (3) years since I became one of Dr. Jerry 's patients.   Dr. Jerry's a MASTER in treating migraine trauma. From the onset of his treatment, I've been completely free from chronic migraines. One exception only.... during a fight with Covid 19.  To be healed has been beyond my wildest hopes or expectation!  Now my spinal health care has gone past curing the migraines.  It's reduced body inflammation, stomach issues and given me far more energy.  My current treatment is plan is 'maintenance mode' to keep my spine in order.  I feel healthier than ever...and I enjoy life far more than in my younger years. They have two doctors, a woman and a man, and both are really great. I have reviewed tons of exercise facilities, which means I've seen my share of chiropractors, RMT's and acupuncturists over the years, so hopefully the fact that this is the first of any of those I've been compelled to review speaks volumes. They have a very modest looking office from the outside (see photo) however inside it is sizeable, clean, well appointed and well staffed. I was in an emergency situation, meaning couldn't move, and they fit me in as an emergency visit despite being booked. Thanks to the really good office workers who actually listened to me on the phone and executed a judgement call rather than just "sorry, we're full today *click*" Once on the table, the doc have me a quick exam and Q&A, then went to work. The adjustment was a good one, meaning I felt immediately improved, and when I told her I was a regular chiropractic patient back home in Vancouver, she waived the exam fee without even telling me. Who ever heard of that happening? At the end she told me I could come back for another adjustment later that day for free, because it's probably need it. Seriously, how nice, it's like she actually cared about my well being or something. Wild. I passed on the same day follow up but came the next day, the male doctor gave me another really good adjustment that really had me moving about much better, and he gave me the same offer to come back that day for a follow up. I guess that's just what they do here? What a great care facility. I had a massage as well, and I really liked the nice lady, but the massage experience truthfully wasn't great and I won't repeat. Still, the chiropractors are fantastic and probably the best I've seen, for the way they run their business as well as the work they do giving adjustments. 5 stars well deserved for those buggers!

I have been to a couple Chiropractors prior and was skeptical he could help my chronic back pain. Shortly after seeing Darren, I am SOLD and have become a life-long client. Dr. Yick is very prudent and results orientated. At my initial consult, he carefully walked me through his process and fully explained why I was having back problems. He also gave me several tips to prevent future issues. He is highly knowledgeable in his profession and uses multiple techniques to help his patients where most physicians repeat the same treatments over and over expecting results. Dr. Yick sincerely cares about his patients and their well-being. He will NEVER treat you like a 'number'. He also advises his patients not to see him unless they really need treatment.
