I needed a new jib to replace my 13 year old beautifully patched and blown out sail. I chose Precision on the recommendation of a fellow sailor here in Sarasota. I ordered my first new sail for my beneteau oceanis 390 from Precision Sails. The size was reduced from a 150 to a 135 furled sail. Somehow the size of the bolt rope was mistaken and being too small would pop out of the track. I called Precision sails and spoke with Mike. After explaining my dilemma Mike offered two options. One to send it back from Florida or to have it repaired locally. He suggested Scott Morgan sail loft only 20 minutes away. I just got it back in less than two weeks and the sail is perfect. I looked at several on-line sail lofts to replace the mainsail on my Catalina 36. I selected Precision because they were the best deal and the sail is custom made. About 6 weeks after I gave them my measurements, my sail arrived on my doorstep via Fed-ex. I installed it the next day. It fit perfectly, good quality construction reinforced on the corners. I just wanted to post a positive review of Precision. I have purchased four sails from them over the past few years for my 1981 Bayfield 25 - an cruising spinnaker in a sock, a 135% Genoa, a 95% jib, and a new full baton main just this year. Every purchase was fantastic. The main was the most complicated but they made it easy and it can out perfect. The 95% jib was the best thing I ever did for the boat. Last summer I purchased a used O'Day 23. While it came with a main sail and roller furling jib the main sail was pretty blown out. I googled sail makers and I quickly found that most of the big names were also the most expensive. Precision Sails seemed to have a very competitive price so I contacted them. What a great company to work with. They set you up with a sales consultant to discuss what your needs and budget are. While I only have a 23 foot boat and just day sail, they treated me like my sail was just as important to them as it was to me. They walked me through the whole process and their portal is great for communicating with them and tracking where your sail is in the design to completion phases. They asked for several pictures of my mast top and boom to mast connection to ensure the sail would fit correctly which I thought was outstanding customer outreach. And I am only buying one sail for my 23 foot sailboat. Along the design process they confirmed my measurements and layout to ensure it will fit correctly. I just received the sail (Dec 2021) and it looks great. I will not be able to try it until next spring but they are a company that I would highly recommend you contact when you are in the market for a new sail. read more
