Happy to support local businesses, I used PP yrs ago for a few small work items. Now at a diff job, they were my 1st choice for another work project. I visited in person & laid out my requests. From there, we did some back & forth via email. B/c it was over the holidays & I was super busy, I didn't mind that many wks went by before we settled on a final product. After giving the go ahead I didn't hear back for a couple of wks. Over the following wk, I sent 2 follow-up emails. NO response.
After calling, later I had a voice mail. When I called back, I was informed the person I was working with made a huge miscalculation & the quotes given were highly inaccurate. Rather than walk away - which I should've done - I asked if they could reconfigure. I was assured that someone would be looking into it & preparing new parameters & quotes. I was aware the price might go up, but the guy I spoke with told me they would do their best to put something reasonable together. Therefore, I told them it wasn't a rush.
After another 2 wks, I sent a follow-up up email. It was REJECTED. Mind you, this was on the same email chain I was already using. All I did was remove the original guy's email & kept the store one. Confused by the rejection, I sent a message via their site portal. The automated reply said someone would get back to me ASAP. The next day I called to make sure it had been received & requested follow-up via email. I was again assured that someone would get back to me ASAP.
I waited for 7 days (including Sat/Sun) & finally gave up. My whole timeline is destroyed! Though I said it was no rush, I didn't think that gave them weeks since the initial part of the project was now passed due. Plus, you'd think they'd prioritize it since the miscalculation was theirs to begin with!
It's unfortunate I gave them return service & walked away in utter frustration. The individual customer - esp a returning one - should matter! Needless to say, they've lost my business for good. read more
