I first called to inquire about more information and the owner-Marlon was very nice and patient with all my questions. He connected me with one of his trainers-Karen. I first contacted PPT via Yelp and quickly heard back from Marlon, the owner. After a brief chat, we scheduled a call to go over my goals, stats, and the options available at PPT. I agreed to come in for a free 1-hour assessment with him to determine a baseline for my capabilities, strength, heart rate, etc. I opted for a 45-minute session 2x a week. (For once, I chose not to go 0-100 in the blink of an eye.) He sent me home after that workout with a sheet to track my food and beverage intake for the next week and advised me to go for walks even if my legs felt sore to keep moving. The next week, I started training with Martha 2x per week. I gave her a recap of my workout with Marlon the previous week and how long it took me to recover. She gave me some tips for things to do after workouts to help with recovery, and as Marlon had done over the weekend, she would text me to check in over the next few days to see how I was doing and if anything hurt (a thing she still does 10 months later). One thing I found helpful at the start of my training was going over my meal tracker with her each week and getting advice on reading the nutritional info label and what to watch out for when buying meals and snacks. At first, I'd take pics of what I ate and their nutritional labels and then show them to her at my next session or text them. Being a vegetarian, I was glad that not only had she respected my choice, but she'd also suggested other brands/items for me to try and never tried to discourage me from being vegetarian. A month later, I increased my sessions to 3x per week for 45 mins since my healing time was improving, and then 3x per week for an hour. There's even been the occasional 4th session in a week when I'm feeling extra energetic and slightly overconfident. I'm no stranger to coming in saying I want to try a workout I saw on social media... and later regretting it (who invented split squats AND WHY?!). Martha is great at determining what workouts will help you reach your goals and modifying a workout on the fly if something hurts or you're injured. She's also good at knowing when you're ready to increase the weights you're using. Martha's methods worked so well that the results in my first 3 months convinced my husband to sign up for training, too. Now, we train together as a small group with Martha 3x per week. She's immensely knowledgeable about fitness and creative with the workouts to keep it from feeling redundant. I've noticed many changes over the last 10 months that aren't just physical, and I can attribute those changes to Martha's knowledge and training. Walking nearly 200,000 steps all over Spain and not feeling it in my legs and feet as I did on other trips was a very nice bonus! Overall, I'm happy with PPT and Martha and am glad I was paired up with her! She's kind, funny, direct, gives good and clear instructions, and has a great attitude. I wholeheartedly recommend this gym and Martha. PPT has various options for you to choose from that vary in workout frequency and length of session, as well as kids and teens group classes, women's group classes, and individual or small group options. OH EMM EFFING JEEEE!! Marlon kicked my ass!! I HATE him! Hate him like "I want to punch you in ur face and stand there to watch you absorb the force" kinda hate. That being said, I gave this place 5 stars because having your body look and feel the way you want it is a big... huuge deal. Marlon knows this and that is why he pushes you so god damn hard, ugh. He helped a man lose 200lbs, or was it 150lbs??.. I forget but it was a shit ton, enough to amaze me. The studio is quite nice. It has a dance room with wood floors and mirrors all around, a private pilates room (so you dont embarrass urself while you struggle with the workout) a large clean workout area with free weights and machines, and get this.. a little workout area with machines specifically designed for kiddies.. no, I don't have any (too irresponsible for the moment..). Anyway, when I came here I specifically told Marlon "Listen G.. I need a fat ass" (as you can see, my last name is Fung.. therefore I have (had) a flat ass). Lord help me for I had not known what I was about to recieve. He proceeded to bestow upon me the ass kicking of the year.. yes, maybe the decade. Fast forward the struggle to now.. I have incoorporated the exercises Marlon showed me into my normal routine and I must say.. desirable results. Pics provided.. no shit talker here. I think my life has new meaning to it. Chronic fatigue, exhaustion and weakness were things I had accepted as part of my life before joining Precision Personal Training. As a mother of energetic toddler twin boys, a full-time litigation attorney and a Type-1 diabetic, I had no time for myself, and much less for working out. The idea of exercising itself sounded exhausting. But, I was tired of being tired. With my husband's encouragement, I joined PPT when I heard exercising (counter-intuitively) provides you with more energy and strength for daily living. I did not sleep the night before my first session because I felt intimidated and shameful of what my body had physically become. PPT, however, was welcoming. I fully trusted my personal trainer Karen in developing a workout program that helped me find energy. It has now been over a year of consistently training with Karen at PPT, and I did not expect the results I have today. After a long day at the office, I come home to my 3-year-old twin boys and my energy level matches theirs. I am a much happier person all-around. Even my posture has changed to reflect more confidence (as others have said). I feel strong at all times throughout my day. My diabetes and overall health has also improved. I have been going to Precision Personal Training for 2 years and I love it! I started with a groupon for semi private training. I am a 58 year old female and felt a little self consious about being in weight training with bulky men. I got over it quickly! After 6 months I felt like I needed to be held more accountable for my attendance and needed that extra "push" so I started personal training one on one with Sonja Hall. I joined a weight loss challenge at the gym back in January and lost 28 pounds! I did not win the challenge because it was a BMI challenge but I lost my tummy rolls and dropped some sizes and am eating healthy, working out and drinking lots of water. As for the Gym, the routines change daily, the trainers are super nice and friendly and the staff in the front counter are helpful. I found PPT on google & I started there just almost 5 months ago on July 20,2020. The owner Marlon, who is super sweet & really nice guy & great trainer as well paired me with Christian(Chris) Mayes. Now I had done some research b4 my 1st complementary session by checking out there site & reviews & every1 had lots of nice things to say about the facility & in particular Chris, but there was 1 review that stood out the most & I would come 2 find out that the person who left this review I would owe a debt I don't think I could ever repay. Her review basically said he was a Asshole but was a amazing trainer & gives you the push & ability 2 believe in yourself .. When I saw that I felt inside this was 4 sure the trainer I needed. Now let me not scare you away, He is not a mean asshole but asshole in the sense that he will listen to you Bitch, gripe & moan then give you this devilish smile & basically be like okay are you done cuz we have work to do. Chris came into my life when I basically was at a all time low. Then que in covid & I wasn't able to train & then when I was ready to get back into it was so difficult to find some1 to train me. I am a PROUD Trans female & sadly it may be 2020 but the distain for the LGBT folks like myself, especially TRANS is very real! Hard to find trainers to train me, soon as I disclosed my status I was told no or told sorry I'm here to train not have sex just so much ridiculousness I don't have enough room to type. Then I found PPT spoke to owner Marlon & he welcomed me without a hesitation & I had explained to him my situation & how I was treated by others & he assured me that would not be the case in his studio or w/any of his trainers. I had my 1st session w/ Chris & by this time it had been months since I worked out w/ a trainer or by myself, I was so out of shape by end of our 2nd session I wanted to cry & I flat out told Chris that this was a bad idea & he told me to take the weekend & if I still felt the same to let him know & he would see if the owner would refund me. He gave a genuine talk & not to give up on myself so quick! He saw something that I didn't see in myself & that's IMO what Chris does, he just doesn't help you lose weight & inches, which he does that phenomenally. He changes your mindset, he truly cares and empathizes w/his clients & I've come to see in these 5 months that were just not clients to him were people that he cares to see do better & in my case & I've seen w/so many others you build a friendship & that's a beautiful thing. If I was given the choice to have to gain back all the weight & inches off my body I have lost, from having my A1C be at a11.1 now at a 6.1which is almost having no diabetes show in my blood in only 5months VS not having Chris as a Friend & someone I have grown to care about I would give all that progress up just to have him present in my life. So let that sink in. This man has showed me so much kindness & most importantly he made me feel like I WAS WORTH 2 FIGHT 4!! THAT I MATTERED! This man knew me from a hole in the wall & only on our 2nd session to see something in me like that & now 5months later I'm so much healthier, I'm so happy & my family & friends see it & they even tell me I don't know what your trainer does but to keep it up cuz they have seen me train b4 & have some success but never to this degree & staying constant. Chris is also a former Fluffy Man & when he showed me his b4 pic I couldn't believe it used to be him, Chris has been there & knows & still at times has his struggles he tells me & that makes me feel like this guy really does get me cuz he has been there lived it and at times still lives it. I hope if your on the fence you give him a try just be prepared to work hard & hopefully you make a new friend. I just left Precision Personal Training. As a matter of fact, I SHOULD be in a semi private training session right now. I booked a complimentary class to check it out as I was looking for a gym for myself and my 3 kids. I was so excited to go! I arrived early as directed to fill out paperwork. No one was in the lobby, so I waited. This was at 8:30 and my class started at 9. At 8:45 I was still waiting for someone to come to the lobby, despite the fact that some of the trainers could see me through the glass. Finally, a young man came out, but he ignored me. I told him that I was there early to fill out paperwork and he gave me a paper to fill out. As I worked on it, several people who worked there came out and I attempted to engage them in conversation. My attempts were not welcome. Having completed the form, I put it on the counter and took a seat. A few other women began arriving, and then the trainer Sonia walked in. (I recognized her from her photo online.) The other women got up and walked to the back with her. She did not pick up my paperwork. No one alerted her to my existence. The other women came back out, apparently there was some confusion about where they were all supposed to be meeting. There was a young guy with glasses who seemed to understand my confusion and looked like he wanted to help but wasn't sure how. At that point I just got up and left. I am so disappointed in my experience. I went there genuinely wanting to work out and to sign up, but I see it this way. If the staff can not make me feel even slightly welcome and comfortable in the lobby on my first visit, how am I supposed to trust them to make me feel welcome and comfortable in a training session? I don't know about you, but my first time at a new gym, I expect the staff to understand that I may be a little uncomfortable. They should make at least some effort to ease that. Perhaps by at least saying hello. UPDATE: Regarding the response from Marlon below... While I appreciate you reaching out to me after I emailed you with my comments about my visit, I would like to point out that I was NOT greeted as you stated. I had to ask for help, and I did that at about 8:45. (The only reason I got there as early as I did was because I drove for half an hour to get there and did not want traffic to make me late. I also had wanted to discuss signing my kids up for classes.) I had to ask for help, because the guy who came out didn't even acknowledge me. Also, I was NOT escorted to the back to meet you. I have NEVER met you. We have corresponded only via email and then phone today. Also, it turns out that the trainer that was assigned to me was not Sonia as I had thought. It was Sebastian, who was standing right there in the lobby. As I told Marlon, he should have introduced himself, or at least said hello. I would then have felt more comfortable, and not like I was just in the way. Let me be clear... this is not a vendetta against the company. I am sure they are perfectly nice people. Marlon called me today to apologize and even offered me a month of free classes to show that they wanted to make it right. As I told him, I am declining his offer because it would be easy to be nice to me now. I feel that the truth about the staff is shown when the boss is NOT watching. That is what I saw this morning. He assures me that it was just "a perfect storm" and that he has never had a complaint in 15 years. Maybe not. But I find it difficult to believe that all of his staff lost their ability to say the word "hello" on the same morning. So.. now he has his "first" complaint. read more

This summer I made a promise to myself to get back in shape once my son turned ONE. I knew I wanted to get there with personal training because I love the one-to-one approach (I mean, who doesn't appreciate the encouragement from a professional to challenge you beyond your comfort zone?). I found this gym through Groupon and so happy I did it! The women's semi private classes are challenging, fun and never boring. Sonja and Dennis provide workouts that improve your cardio, balance, strength and flexibility. The workouts are tough but lots of encouragement (a few jokes & laughs as well !) I ran across this gym because I was actually looking for a gym or exercise program tailored to children. Initially I had no intention of personal training for me only because my previous experience did not go very well. But when my son asked me to do it with him, I couldn't say no. I figured I'd do it once so I could get him enrolled. But I was so pleasantly surprised. I've been coming here for a little over a month. Maya is my personal trainer. I can't say enough great things about her. Not only has she done an amazing job with my son but with me as well. Not only have I seen the weight cone off but I've seen the inches coming off as well. More importantly injuries I had from my previous experience have not affected me at all. Maya is a great motivator and she truly goes out of her way to ensure your success. read more

I was a little nervous to start the semi private classes since I've been out of the gym for 20 years....but Marlon and the staff made it all achievable. I told Sonya what I could do or couldn't (ie knees rough) and we would change up the routine so I could do it without hurting myself and still get a lot out of it! I appreciated the encouragement and didn't want to give after starting. I liked that it could be a semi private class but still meet the needs of different levels.
