Despite paying for my consultation and going through a full examination regarding my composite veneers, she initially approved the procedure. I booked an appointment for this procedure. However, I was recently contacted by the clinic receptionist, who informed me on behalf of Dr. Abbasi: " Since your old composites need to be removed and replaced, I am unable to perform the procedure. It is better for you to see another dentist". This happened despite the fact that I had always behaved respectfully, and over the past year, I have spent nearly $7000 on dental work at this clinic in 2025 alone. I am extremely disappointed by this disrespectful behaviour, and I will never forget this unprofessional experience.

Now the previous dentist I had. They did text to communicate when I first signed up just before covid, but, either that employee did it on her own phone. or they stopped using the service they used to use to text me. either way. they would call me for appointments. and miss me as I was at work couldn't take the call. and when I called back it would go to voicemail. and they don't seem to email. so I got a missed call during work. and by the time I remembered about it and called back they were closed. couldn't recall if I had an appointment that weekend or not but I knew I had one in Aug...... decided I needed to find a dentist that texted emailed and actually answered their phones. so. why did I give them 5 stars when they told me it was 1 visit and now I have to come back for another hour of cleaning? the hygienist.... wouldn't budge. she told me it needed more than 1 hour cleaning. and she wasn't willing to sacrifice my teeth to accommodate my demands. she got receptionist in to talk sense in to me. and when that didn't do the trick they then got the dentist in. to talk to me. and finally I just agreed. NOT because they bully me, but because they cared enough to say NO, no we are not squishing 2 hours of much needed dental cleaning into a 1 hour slot. I am happy they cared enough to stand their ground. I really liked her cleaning pace. I didn't feel apprehensive because I could mentally follow along with where she was cleaning. she rocks! dentist was awesome too. came in. made sure I knew what the game plan is. when I come back again. and what we doing to make sure I stay on top of areas. Koodos to the guy who did my X-rays. it's not easy squishing those wings in there at just the right spot. he took his time. and it went well. I felt good I didn't feel nervous. And the receptionist team were amazing I left them figuring out billing for my two insurance there was something iffy about who to bill how much or something. Hahaha. The very qualified dentist I'm working with has become insistent that I crown all of my teeth. The Norris Dental office, though old and dingy, was clean - something that I take note of as a connoisseur of good dentistry. From the jump I was impressed by the front end care - only in a top-notch dental office would you be offered either room temp water or refrigerated... a detail usually offered in a high-end spa that was much appreciated by me. Further, I am a lip reader and as you can imagine, I have difficulty with masks. Luckily all but one person in this office accommodated my disability without hesitation. I was seated in a room facing the window which was not going to work for me given my need to read lips, yet Dr Lee made it work. She pulled up a chair facing me. We were able to make good eye contact and my lip reading was effortless. Dr Lee was compassionate and personable, patient and concerned. She asked good questions, assured me that I was in good hands with both the dentist I'm currently working with and herself as a possible alternative. She suggested a way that I could slow the process down which would minimize the fear, while she spoke of the genetic lottery: a loss I've had to live with. According to Dr Lee, I might not have been gifted with thick enamel or formidable gums. I have to think that she's right. Her comment was a first. It has been more common that I hear that the attrition/ state of my teeth is 'my fault'; a concept which I have heard repeated every other month for as long as I can remember. I've been blamed for brushing too hard, being heavy-handed with floss and of course, neglect - while nothing could be further from the truth. Yes, you read it right. I'm a fanatic. I have been going to dental hygiene every two to three months since I became an adult and responsible for me - and now, age 67, my entire mouth requires crowning - how can that be? I left feeling heard, feeling like I had options as to how to proceed, with my fears quelled. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Vanessa Lee.

The good experience begins when you walk into the clinic and meet Sherrilyn who is the receptionist. She always has a smile on her face and seems like she really enjoys what she does. The dentist I see there is Dr. Monika. She is amazing and so is her dental assistant, Amy. They make each and every one of my visits very pleasant. Dr. Monika is not only extremely knowledgeable about anything dentistry, she's also very meticulous and will walk you through and describe every step of the way. She will do an initial consultation where they take pictures and check out the condition of your teeth. Then she'll down everything that needs to be done and the prices for all the procedures. I got my top 2 wisdom teeth removed yesterday and both Dr. Monika and Amy ensured that the extraction was pain-free and as comfortable as it could be for me. Dr. Monika also gave me her personal number in case I had question/concerns and took the time to call me the next day to make sure that I was doing well. I also appreciate that neither Dr Jesse or her dental assistant Dayna tried selling me into procedures that I didn't need like some other dentists tried in the past - straight to what I needed (fixing the cosmetic bonding of a tooth that I chipped a long time ago that was decolored and uneven). Overall, the whole staff treated me really well :D
