I've experienced others who were physically incapable of their jobs and used appliances, some that seemed to "wing it" and couldn't give good answers to questions, and once I got a full on bear hug at the end of a first visit. I immediately called my Hubby and asked, "Umm, do you think it's okay that the new Chiro just full-body hugged me?" I laugh now at my facetious question, but it really creeped me out! Dr. Timmer is professional and thorough. He takes X-rays and TIME to explain to you where your problem areas are and how he plans to get you to a good place. He doesn't twist or contort the body, not even when adjusting the neck, unless absolutely necessary. I know that would bring a lot of people back to the Chiro if they knew they wouldn't get their neck twisted! His hours are limited which is the only downside. I think it's a big enough deal to dock the 5th star. The hours are 9-1 and 3-6 Monday-Thursday. What?! I've never had to ask if he would take a Saturday appointment because I'm a SAHM and make my own hours, but it would be worth it to at least ask if you're really searching for a competent Chiro. They do take walk-ins which is a plus! He also offers accupressure as an accompaniment to the Chiropractic treatment. It has worked for me for both digestive issues and anxiety. The massaging "roller table" you get to lay on before treatment is so relaxing after fighting that crazy Kansas Ave. traffic. The front office girl is super sweet, but I am biased because we used to work together. On your way out you can easily hit up Mother Nature's Health Market just North of the office.
