Looked up a place for hookah prior to my trip to Mexico and found this place and I'm very glad I did :). We arrived and were immediately seated in the outdoor section (comfy couch style). Now, they do have indoor as well but we were glad to people watch! Order hookah and drinks, the flavor was awesome and they kept the coals fresh as well as the shisha. They have hiphop music accompanied by the video and there was even a couple of dancers that showed up later in the video evening. Visited late January to bring in my friend's 30th birthday. Bottle service was nice, attentive and the staff were friendly. Music was decent, lots of Spanish music mixed with some hip hop. Open air lounge so it was hot, even at night. Large & clean women's bathroom upstairs. read more

Absolutely loved everything about this nightclub!! Their customer service is above the rest . Celebrated my best friend bday from the moment I booked the bottle service via WhatsApp it was clear communication and no misleading or hidden fees. Once we arrived we were whisked away to our section after showing them I QR code. Everyone there was more than helpful through out the entire night ! Perhaps most memorable for me was the dancers, the bottle service guy and the OTHER staffer (male ) who assisted the bday girls' mom to the restroom up the stairs ! He took her all the way and we didn't even ask that of him it absolutely speaks volumes about this young man's character! This is exactly the hookah spot we were looking for in Playa del Carmen. It was close to our hotel, in a great area, great for people watching, and played great music (hip hop). Some reviews talked about the price of hookah being high, which may be true compared to other places in the area, but compared to the states it was reasonably priced and well worth it. The hookah was smooth and they made sure the coals were fresh. We will always come back next time we visit. Great place to go and enjoy the vibes! read more

Don't waste your time buying drinks because they sell juice with lots of ice. We complained and our waiter took a sip of our drinks with a straw and his finger. He pretended to ask the bartender about our drinks. No help. He said we could buy two double shots. We ordered hookah with fruit in the water and you already know there was no fruit. I cannot wait to go back to Mexico to visit the spot. I loved it so much. In my opinion, they have the best hookah in the city. They are a little overpriced but the hookah is good and the drinks are as well. The music is great, they play a mix of everything and it's really loud so everyone on the street creates a party atmosphere. I love the outdoor seating so you can smoke, drink and people watch. Be careful with this place - we paid it over $3500 pesos for a table on NYE. They told us hookah was included but of course we get surprised with a 1k charge for hookah. No big deal hookah was great quality. Tip was automatically included bringing our total to $5,400 pesos. The wait staff lied and told us that TIP was not included however It was clear that "PROPINA" was already included on the receipt despite this they tried strong arming us for $1000 more pesos but we gave them $300 and left. This place was boomin. I mean, you're gonna find this place rocking for a hookah bar on the strip so you're not gonna miss it. It has indoor and outdoor seating available so you can decide where you want the party to be. Just beware that if you're sitting outside you'll be approached SEVERAL times by street vendors trying to pass you on a set of flowers. I dont think I said no as many times as I did in the span of 2 hours. If you're still reading after that then here goes the rest. The hookah tasted great! We had a Watermelon and Mint hookah which burned for a long time and the beers were also pretty cheap. The waiters were pretty good and on point. Coming back when I needed a new beer AMD other stuff. Absolute scam - ordered tequila sunrises and were brought cups of orange juice with a splash of grenadine. These were $150 each and hookah was $1000 yet bill was $1800 and they wouldn't let us leave without paying the whole thing. Me and friends went here 3 consecutive nights safe to say we highly enjoyed our experience. The music was good and unlike other spots in Playa seating is not an issue hear. We were bored at the last few bars/ clubs the music sucked. So we went walking and a saw a huge crowd in the street dancing. They played all the music we needed! There's a live dj so you make request unlike the other places. This place is pretty much outside. They played today's hit, reggae, Cupid shuffle, etc. In other words It was lit. The workers dance and are really cool. I took off a star because they are what I think is the best they should have more seats. So happy I found that place! read more

This review is for Mamba, which is right across and has the same owner. My husband and i went there for just a night out. We were immediately bombarded by staff with aggressive selling but that's normal here. I decide to order a hookah and said i was cool on drinks. Later got thirsty, so asked for FREE tap water. Another guy brings us Fiji and before it's even opened, i tell our waiter no thank you bc i don't wanna be charged for it. He tells us with the hookah we get the water bottle for free. He brings the check and the "tip" is already included for "him and his boy". Whatever we pay and tip them. We stay for about 45 minutes and decided to leave due to feeling uncomfortable by staff hovering over us. When we get up to leave literally 7-8 staff members surround us and say that we have to pay for the water. After reinstating what we were told, we were called liars and this big scene was made. After giving us an "exception" we were let go. I was so HOT and i will never go back. We were hard headed though bc friends we met earlier said they had an incident there the night before. They were charged almost $500 more and the manager wasn't helpful. Very very crooked, beware. read more

It was like any average hookah lounge however be ware to have Mexican pesos i tried to pay with my credit card that for some odd reason would not work in there establishment but it did everywhere else. Ran out of pesos and when we payed with American dollars they were not giving me the correct change they were cutting me short of a lot of money when I confronted them they said their exchange rate is 15 pesos per American dollar although the exchange was was 17 to 1 dollar then they gave me more pesos back however still not enough to cover the Change so just be cautions and I speak Spanish I can only imagine how they could possibly take advantage of someone who may be intoxicated and have a language barrier read more

Absolute f**in scam. Was out with some friends and my boyfriend we got a bottle and hooka, everything was great until it was time to go. I paid the bill in pesos as we're walking out they stopped us at door because we " didn't pay" I was absolutely outraged and asked them to play back the cameras so they can see I PAID, they said they can't view the cameras unless the police requested which is true in other countries but not sure about here in Mexico, anyway! I told them to go ahead and call the cops, we waited 30 minutes! Kept asking them if they called the cops and when they would get there. I saw an officer outside and tried to wave him down but I was stopped by their security before I could make it to the patio. My boyfriend ended up paying the bill again!!! Because it was late and we were so fed up, we're on vacation, money wasn't the issue but they definitely take advantage of people specially when they see you're intoxicated. I love this place. I was in Playa to complete a very intensive teaching English as a foreign language course, the CELTA. I had some kind of coursework to do almost every night, and I'd often need to be up past midnight doing it. The staff at Prana were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They always had a place near an outlet for me so I could smoke hookah and write up lesson plans. Every member of staff knew me as the 'maestra de inglés' and always had an encouraging thing to say and understood when I needed to be in a specific spot to plug in my computer or use the WiFi. I never felt rushed or was asked to leave, even though there were times I was there for over 5 hours. Hookah is 300 pesos, and drinks are the price you'd expect for a place right off Quinta, but they're good and the staff is definitely worth it. Prana is open until 4 am and the staff definitely have fun and are really helpful! It's not just a good place for study (if you don't mind the music as I didn't) but also for groups and hanging out with friends or pregaming for a night out at the clubs in Playa. Definitely one of the major highlights of my month in Mexico! read more
