The flagship store is at Canada Life Centre where the Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose play hockey. It's convenient to grab a commemorative item or get a jersey while at this arena. The downside is that if there isn't a game on a Saturday or Sunday, this location is closed on weekends. I was at St Vital Centre and found Jets Gear's second location. It's a few stores away from London Drugs. The hours are much better. It's open when the mall is open, which is seven days a week, with some holiday exceptions. It was cool dropping by. I still don't own a Jets jersey, but it was nice seeing the variety here. I do have Manitoba Moose hoodies and Jets t-shirts. I wanted something different and perused this store. I liked seieng Perfetti's game-winning goal on t-shirts clearly indicatingin that there was 1.6 seconds left in the third period. There were two different styles in white, which is perfect for whiteout conditions when attending a Jets game. I was thrilled to see Teemu Selanne as a bobblehead. He is my favourite hockey player. This bobblehead represented his 76-goal rookie year in the NHL. I ended up getting a Jets whiteout hockey puck. I have never seen one in white. It was a limited edition. I started off as being the only customer in the store. By the time I approached the payment area, there were a bunch of shoppers browsing. Interesting! The man at the counter was cheerful. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I put the puck in my shopping bag. I thanked him and happily left the store. I love this whiteout puck. I have a handful of pucks. This one stands out because it's my only white puck in my collection. I love it. I'm glad that I dropped by this store. Staff here has always been nice and helpful even though it gets super busy on the weekends. Naturally, try to hit this place on the weekdays if you can. Okay, being the cheapo that I am, I usually only check out the sale items which are usually around 20-30% off regular price (I have never gotten anything here that wasn't on sale out of principle.). I've really gotten some great deals here including some cute terry shorts/skirts for $10 last year! It's my latest acquisition that makes me even more excited about this location. I purchased this amazing wrap sweater (Universal Wrap) made from a super soft blend of cashmere, rayon, and bamboo. You can wear it in at least 9 different ways (the sales lady showed me 6 but I figured out a few more ways myself through the internet). I love it because you can wear this around town or as a part of a business casual setting. When I was browsing the same rack, there was one that was mislabeled for a lower price point. When I pointed it out, the sales person gave the lower price! So, I walked out of the store with two wrap sweaters for $49 each instead of the original price of $118 (the supposed sale price was $69/each). That's ridiculous for a place like this!

The staff are great there especially the ones that are in charge of the changing room. They are very knowledgeable about the products and have a great attitude. There's a lot more sale section racks in this store but I can never find anything in a good color or style because smaller sizes (6 and under) run out faster or its just bad colors left. Like who wants to wear white lululemon yoga pants? They have great workout bras in a range of fun colors and I love all their tanks for the gym. Love the thick scuba hoodies that are great to wear when it gets chilly out. And of course the great reverse groove pants that hug in all the right places - great for the gym, lounging around or just running errands around town. Workout gear tends to be pricey because the fabric is geared towards wicking sweat away, stretch and all those things. But I justify my purchases because they're not only great for working out in but they translate well into casual street wear. Most long pants and hoodies will be about $98, crops run around $86. Tanks are about $39-$52. And of course all pant hemmings are free of charge. Oh and the men's section takes up maybe 25% of the store, or less. But they have great items like the hoodies and the long pants (of course it's looser fitting than the women's). What I don't get about this place is why there are so many 12 year old girls shopping there? I guess these kids have a lot more in allowance money than I ever did! LOL.

I got both on sale at Kohl's and The Hockey Lodge, respectively. I thought that I'd check out this store at Collection Outlet Winnipeg and see if I could expand my Adidas wardrobe. I liked the women's sneakers. Out of the entire batch, I only found two pairs that were size 11. It's slim pickings if you have large feet for a woman. If you are size 10 and under, you'll have better success. I didn't want to get a men's pair. The colours weren't cheerful to me. The track outfits looked nice. They were discounted, but not heavily. I played with a basketball. This store had nice basketball designs besides your typical brownish colour. The one that I was bouncing around was inflated nicely. This place also a decent selection caps. I didn't see a huge discount happening in this section, either. It was great browsing. I just wish that there were more women's size 11 shoes available. Great place to find clothes, packs, travel gear, accessories for camping, general travel, sports…read moreetc. The staff are really friendly and helpful especially the staff in the packs section. They help you figure out the best pack for your body size, usage, etc...and they fit you too. I found that their travel accessories are definitely cheaper than other travel shops around the city. Also, a decent bike accessory section. They generally carry their own MEC clothing line so you won't likely find the more recognizable outdoor brand names here. Since it's a co-op, you just need to sign up as a member for $5 (lifetime membership) but like most places you can just use your phone number instead of carrying their card around. The one thing that sucks about this place is the lack of parking! It's located on Portage and Donald so it's only limited to street (meter) parking. And there's no street parking allowed in that area between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm weekdays. I saw a banner that allows free 1 hour parking if you buy more than $10 worth of stuff at an Impark lot somewhere on Smith. Not sure which lot that is but obviously I didn't spot that sign until after I circled this place for 10 mins!

Winter wear shopping today!…read more Found everything at Sport Chek. Excellent quality winter wear, Lots of jackets for adults and kids. From dressy (but dressy sporty) to very sporty, and almost an overwhelming selection of mittens, gloves, hats, toques, and neck warmers/face shields. I found a GORGEOUS pair of mitts, but they were a little pricey -- $99, so out of my league. ;) They were ski gloves, so if I was a skier I could probably find a way to justify the expense..but I chose my second fave mitts which were about $35. If you know Sport Chek, you'll know they provide gear and clothing for just about every sport. I love the selection, the brand names and the fantastic customer service. Sales staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the store and its merchandise.
