He came out quickly and diagnosed a key problem with the refrigerator; a blown main control board. Because my refrigerator is quite old, Alex didn't have the part on hand. Instead, he placed an expedited special order for it on the spot. He clearly explained that there also could be secondary problems, masked by the blown control board. We agreed though that it made sense and would save me money by replacing the control board first and then evaluating next steps. Luckily that was all that was needed to get my refrigerator back and up and running. Hurray! With the back of the refrigerator open, Alex took care to clean the condenser coils and other interior spaces to help keep it operating efficiently. My refrigerator now runs more quietly than I ever remember! While here, Alex also checked my Whirlpool clothes washing machine and cleaned out the accumulated gunk in the drain line that prevented it from draining properly and operating efficiently. Both my refrigerator and washer are old machines and now working like new. For both, Alex offered helpful, expert maintenance tips and advice, should I ever need to replace them. Overall, I found Alex to be punctual, fair in his pricing, clear in explaining the process and possible costs, polite, neat and personable. I highly recommend him.

I found Russ of Aras Appliance Repair on Yelp and although there hasn't been recent reviews, I liked what I saw of past reviews. He came and fixed the relay switch issue in March and charged me minimally because it was a loose wire which he reattached. In July, the starter button stopped working and I contacted him. He said he was on vacation and would come right away when he returned. Meanwhile, I ordered a replacement starter button from Amana but it didn't work. Russ came right out and took the whole dryer apart-the drum did not have a proper seal and its edges were bent, several wires were loose, the exhaust was not positioned correctly, etc. He methodically solved all the issues. The moral of the story-do not buy a Amana (Whirlpool) dryer and use ARAS (affordable, reliable, appliance).

He arrived in the earlier part of scheduled window of time and without much explanation from my end, he looked at the washer, pressed a few buttons and within seconds he knew exactly the issue- drain pump motor needed replacement. He already had the parts in his truck and within the next 30 mins or so he was done! Fast and honest service with reasonable pricing. Appreciate it! My LG refrigerator died recently and I needed it repaired ASAP. Triton was able to come the soonest so I went with them. They came right away and fixed the problem- the fridge needed a new compressor. So far so good. The job ended up costing around $1350. $950 for the labor and $400 for the part. Super expensive I know but still cheaper than getting a new fridge. The problem was that the compressor was still under warranty and the repair man said that they could reimburse us for the part if we call LG to have them replace it after the fact. He assured me that this is common practice and he's done it several times before. Ok so I pay them, call LG, give them all the info they asked for and they say they will send Triton the new part in 3-4 weeks. A month goes by and I call Triton about the reimbursement. The guy says he needs to check with his warehouse or inventory manager or something to see if the part arrived and would call me back. I never heard back. I tried again the next week. Same thing- he needs to check with his inventory guy and will get back to me. No call back. I call again and you'll never guess what happened. Yes same story. And now I am writing this review because I'm starting to think I'm not getting that $400 back. Ugh. Still I can't give only 1 star bc they did fix it and they were courteous the whole time they were here. 2 stars it is.

Had this company out to service our fridge's airflow system, and the ice maker stopped working…read moreafter their repair. They then upsold us on installing a new ice maker, which was more than the initial installation. First, they claimed the airflow system they worked on was completely unrelated to the ice maker (mechanically false). Once that was debunked by their own notes showing they adjusted the air ducts, they shifted tactics - claiming the ice maker was "nearing complete failure" during the initial visit. Conveniently, they never reported or documented this alleged "wear" until we disputed the subsequent breakdown. Lastly, they did no electrical testing or voltage checks were done to prove the part is dead. Unreliable diagnostics, changing stories, and after-the-fact reporting just to avoid accountability for an installation oversight. Save your money and call a company that uses actual data and stands by their written reports.
