Originally we ordered lighting for the band we had booked, then it was suggested we add pin spots for our tall centerpieces to be proudly displayed (as they should for the $$ you spend on them, right?!). From there we added more uplighting. Originally I didn't want to do that since the venue has colored lighting built into the ballroom but we needed to fulfill a minimum. In the end, happy we added the uplighting and happy the sound/lighting tech's were on-site ensuring everything presented well and remained functioning.

I have a couple of favorites that I always look for when I visit. Even the doormen are cool people. They have resident DJs that play throughout the week and weekends - all are pretty good! The vibe is usually pretty chill. The nights when they are slower are my favorite because they can get pretty packed. Service is usually pretty great. From time to time, they have specials/deals. They offer nice, fairly affordable mid-shelf (or top-shelf) drink options (as well as well-drink options). They also offer hookahs, if you are into that. Please keep in mind that if you have cash on you, you can get the hookah at a discounted rate. They have a decent number of TVs if you are looking to watch any games. As the name suggests, it is a "side" bar, so seating there is limited, but it does make for more than enough on slower days/nights. They have great hours, and you can also order food from Gitto's next door at the bar counter. All in all, it is a good spot to add to bar-hop rotation or to just visit in general.
