We called them over a year ago to replace a water heater that decided to kick it the weekend we had guests staying with us. Once he arrived, ahead of his truck, he did a great job getting a plan together to attack the problem. When the truck arrived, he moved quickly and cleared the clogged pipe. We were in shock over the state of our house, but Mike was the consummate professional and clearly laid out the options moving forward. I got the immediate sense that he was fair and not looking to take advantage of anyone. He explained best case and worst case for each option and applied no pressure as we tried to figure out cost, insurance ramifications, urgency and other factors. We made our decision and he committed to fixing it as quickly and economically as possible. Fast forward to the repair. He and his guys were on time, professional and very respectful. They prepped for a clean departure and started the work. What initially looked like a best case, started going sour because of where the problem was in the pipes, but the guys did everything they could to not take the job to the next level, which would have cost a lot more money. Mike and the guys went above and beyond to save an exterior retaining wall, which would have cost me thousands to repair/replace. They easily could have just taken the easier and more expensive option but they found a way to fix everything without digging up my wall and walkway. We initially called in another plumber, and he and his boss felt very strongly that a hairline crack in the pan of our master shower was causing the issue. They came back with an estimate of $7,000 to redo the entire master shower (and vanity). What? We called Bommer Plumbing for a second opinion and boy, are we glad we did. Jim arrived right on time and he worked with my husband and me to troubleshoot the leak. He spent close to 90 minutes at our place. Long story short, the culprit of the leak was worn caulk along the top of of the master shower basin, NOT a hairline crack. We all cheered when the source was found! We saved thousands of dollars with this (accurate) diagnosis. And he even pointed out a potential issue with the electric source for our downstairs bathroom fan. Jim was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and hilarious. We were cracking jokes like old buds. He was awesome! And office staff is super friendly. They keep you apprised of your plumber's whereabouts on the day of your appointment. They even send a picture of your plumber so you know what they look like ahead of time.
