But on this occasion that wasn't an option,it was Mrs Zombis birthday and she wanted to buy some plants. So off we went (I packed a chain just in case). Now as far as i'm concerned the worst thing we have ever done as a couple is buy a house with a garden. I just can never rouse myself to do anything in it,if money were no object then it would either be paved over or a gardener would be hired. So the walking along rows of flowers and plants made me long for rusty metal flagellation (good name for a metal band). This is not to do the garden centre down at all,it is how i feel about all of them. On this occasion though my mind was blown apart,when we got inside the centre they had a Deli!!! Yep,a Deli!!! Cheeses of the world,beautiful cooked meats,salamis and other sausages,beautiful artisan breads and stuffed olives of many a filling. That is only a small selection,they also stocked some really nice kitchen gadgets,smelly candles and stuff that i have never seen or heard of before... I bought some Pastrami ( the king of American Deli meats). And i have to honestly say that it was some of the nicest i have ever had. Really peppery and beefy. I haven't enjoyed pastrami so much since i had a stupidly big sandwich in Sausalito,but i can't just pop there whenever i fancy a peppery beef sarnie. But I can pop a mile and a half down the road to the All in one garden centre for one,and that'll do for me ta very much.....

Gordon Riggs is a great all year round garden centre which is conveniently located just off a new…read moremotorway extension and exist in Kingsway, Rochdale. The plant and flower stocks change seasonally and the items usually have helpful tips and information on the suitability. There are sections of the centre suitable for most purposes, from gravel and rocks to statues, fountains and pond liners. The pets section always has a great selection of fish too. My one gripe is that Christmas always comes VERY early to Gordon Riggs, with a strong emphasis on a very large (and impressive) seasonal lighting display. It could just do with arriving a few weeks or months later than it does though. That said, it's especially great for your pick of healthy, juicy christmas trees.

On Sunday at Gordon Riggs I had the opportunity to buy (Deep breath):- Candles,Locusts,Crickets,Rabbits,Bearded Dragons,Vases,Books,Paving stones,Bloody Meerkat tat,Plants,Incense sticks,Essential oils,Bird Food,Bird Tables,Bird poison (Not really),CD's,DVD's,Tins of minced beef and onions and a carvery. And that is a good thing! because when I go to a garden centre the last thing I want to look at is garden stuff,as I stated in last years review of All in One garden Centre I hate gardens and gardening, so the more non gardening related things they sell the better, which is why I have a soft spot for Gordons place, anything that stops me having to look at bulbs and seeds is a good thing. My mum ordered a fireplace from Housing Units in November, and it quickly became clear that it was…read morefaulty. When she contacted Housing Units, they refused to take responsibility and told her she had to deal with the manufacturer herself - completely unacceptable since she purchased a fireplace from Housing Units and was paying them for a service. An online engineer for Evonics, gave her the ridiculous instruction of switching the rocker switch on and off 15 times, we thought he was joking. Obviously this didn't work so she had to wait some more. After two months of waiting, an engineer finally came out, only to confirm what we already know, the fireplace was faulty. She was instructed to go and start to order a replacement, which she did, only to be told it would take 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. However, I have speaking housing units today, she discovered that the replacement hadn't even been ordered! Now, she's been told it will take another five weeks, meaning she won't receive a fireplace until May - six months after purchasing it! They have told her she needs to dismantle the fireplace herself. To make matters worse, She does not have central heating, so housing units have left a pensioner without heating throughout the entire winter. My mum has been a loyal customer, and this treatment is disgraceful. I am absolutely shocked at the lack of care and responsibility shown by housing Units. The customer service team have not shown any care or understanding. Having to wait 6 months for a very expensive fireplace to be replaced is shocking. It so sad because she is such a loyal customer. From previous experience IKEA provide a much better service and do not expect their loyal customers to do their work for them.

Today I got scammed £750 from a company that I thought was trustworthy and reliable…read more 12 weeks ago I ordered the dining table pictured. I thought it was a steal of a deal because it was half price at £750 and it was using real oak. After 3 months of patiently waiting for my dining table, they delivered my package in one huge box, they never told me it was going to come in two boxes, this was never communicated by email and the delivery driver didn't say anything either. The delivery driver said to sign a form to confirm delivery and left in a hurry. They never explained that there were meant to be in two boxes. I thought it was going to be in one. Later that evening I opened the box and discovered the legs were missing, I thought "not to worry, I'm sure if I email them they'll send me my dining table legs ASAP". To my surprise and utter dismay, the customer service team emailed me back (picture of the email attached) saying because I signed the form, they cannot send me over the legs or give me a refund. I rang them after pleading to send the legs or provide a refund and they refused. I had two witnesses with me that can state only one box was delivered and not two. Also Housing units can't even send me pictures of proof saying that the two boxes were delivered. They're simply taking the word of mouth over the driver's over mine and refuse to send me my legs or give me a refund. I am completely and utterly heartbroken that I've lost £750, all I have is a plank of wood to show for it. I can say hand on heart this is the most despicable company that I've ever come across. I would say avoid at all costs unless you want to get scammed like I have.

My grandparents…read morewould be so proud as they were always wanting to go out for a drive and day out to B&Q etc when I was a little kid... But saying that - this isn't B&Q or just some rubbish shop just selling plants and trees - it has everything you could want in life and was the perfect place to spend a wet and windy Friday off work with our 2 little kids. Here's the ace points: * A fantastic food hall serving food from local suppliers and so much tasty stuff - in house butchers, bakers etc * Huge Reserve Wines area with great selection of vino on offer * Possibly one of the best craft beer selections to take away - at least 30 different breweries from local to further afield. * 3 great cafes and one specialising in tapas and champagne - PIMP living! *loads of kiddy activities and sand pit etc, great kids toys shop * loads of plants and outdoorsy stuff it that floats your boat... * Good quality coffee - proper sized flat whites... Last time I checked they had about half a dozen different models at reasonable prices. Admittedly, none of them looked as stylish as the fires you see in lifestyle magazines but when Britain is having it's worst cold spell for thirty years, I think some people might be willing to sacrifice a little style for the sake of staying warm! Handily, this branch offers Reserve and Collect so you can order products online or by phone and collect later.

It also has good parking, and good disabled access, as well as friendly and helpful staff.
