If you have the patience to do that, then you might find something good in amongst all the designer tat! The Exeter store is quite large, and spread out over 2 floors. There are a huge number of trousers, tops, shirts, skirts, kids clothes, bags, books etc to wade through, but you might just find a couple of bits worth buying! There is a large free carpark at the Exebridges Centre, so you can take your time in the store.

I love the fact that you never know what you might find and when you do find something its quite special at a discount price. The shop is easy to move around, easily accessible and also contains house hold items, although i have never found anything particularly interesting. You can walk all the way through centre and cut through to other shops like WH Smiths, Animal, Superdrug etc.

It's so small and difficult to navigate with a pushchair in tow that i don't end up going in here a lot of the time when i would like to. The top floor is also completley out of bounds to wheelchair users as well as anyone with a pushchair. On the times i have been able to get in here i have been impressed by their prices and the choice available.

The self-service check-outs are useful in theory, but sometimes they crash or refuse to let you pay, etc- and often it can be a while before a member of staff comes to help you.

This is one of not many remaining town centre branches of Mothercare, and is much smaller than most of the more common out of town stores. This Mothercare has a range of clothes and accessories for babies and children up to about 8 years old, as well as a small selection of baby and toddler toys, and pushchairs and car seats. Their clothes have a reputation for being good quality, but the brand is not as popular as it used to be. Price wise, Mothercare struggles to compete with discounted shops and the web, but still must have some loyal shoppers who remember going there as children themselves.

The first floor is given to mainly organs but upstairs you can find a large guitar section, drums and wind instruments. It is upstairs you can also find all the printed music. Musicroom has the largest selection of printed music in the south west. They also have a large selection of music instrument accessories. Musicroom can also be found at many of the large music festivals in the country. The staff are more than helpful, there are noticeboards as you go up the stairs where you can find useful information and local music teachers
