What an EXTRAORDINARILY badly managed store! We called in for "one to two" things which turned into…read morea small trolley full, as these visits often do... On approaching the staffed checkouts (we prefer a human being to doing it ourselves) we saw significant queues and no signs of movement, and two tills were closing (this was around 5.20pm). A manager (?) assured us that there would be staff coming to the checkouts "in two minutes". I'm glad we didn't take him at his word, because the 20 minutes we were there we didn't see any (even after the "queue-buster call went out at 5.30pm). The poor woman working at our till was totally overwhelmed with her workload (and she was a middle-aged lady), while younger staff were seen leisurely wandering around the self service and self-scanned areas - surely some kind of staffing malfunction? We often shop at Aldi (Beach Boulevard) Lidl (Torry) and Tesco (Torry) all within 1-2 miles of this Asda and ALL of those stores have efficient staffing, effective management, and priority service for customers wishing to use staffed tills. We now rarely shop in Asda, we used to be regular shoppers in Glasgow and Cumbernauld, but our experience of Asda - especially as they are heavily pushing the self-service to the real detriment of the one-to-one customer experience has not only put us off, but I'm sure will put many many more customers off. Asda it's EASY; 1. convert some of the profits to secure good staff 2. increase your staffing 3. serve your customers. Because if you continue to push staffed checkouts down your list of priorities then we will not return. And we are not alone.

In particular they are good in ear cuffs and embellished/sequin dresses but one must remember, MS is a compromise between price and quality and such stuff doesn't last long, this kind of dresses are made mainly to wear once/to look at or one has to be very careful once wearing them. I think this is a good shop when you want something decent/different looking for OK price. You can find some steals there, but you also have to watch out because some items can have the quality at the level of Primark. There is also second MS within Outlet close to Union Square, where you can find a little different range of products. Or you can buy online and have it delivered to the store, which I use quite often. There are sometimes slaw vouchers online, but then again sometimes you will find even better deals in store }:)

I love that there's lots of lovely home wear sprinkled around the shop - literally everything you see is available for sale which is incredible because often you'll find a lot of amazing stuff in these kinds of shops which are for display purposes only. I know this for fact because I bought a vintage hat box from here which I've been after for the past year but it's been impossible to talk anyone into selling before because they look so great on show! The shop is independent and run by a really lovely woman who sources all the pieces herself, meaning there's no bulk-bought junk to wade through and it's all hand steamed and in great condition. At the moment she's just updated the stock to summer wear and she's got a cheeky little sale rail for those looking to bag a bargain. It's mid priced, but there is defo some beautiful items to invest in. Failing that there's a few wonderful pieces available to rent for occasions so every girl gets the chance to be Cinderella for just one night, which is perfect for those who feel like taking the plunge into the world of vintage will leave then looking like a pumpkin after midnight ;)

When I got home and opened it, the rice had an absolutely foul, rotten smell, it was clearly already spoiled. I then had to go through the hassle of driving all the way back to the store just to return it, wasting my time and fuel for something that should never have happened in the first place. Although they refunded the spoiled meal, I was shocked that they made me pay the difference for the replacement. Selling food that's expiring today and already gone bad is unacceptable and the way this was handled was completely unfair. I've been shopping at Sainsbury's for years and always trusted their standards, but after this experience, they have certainly lost a loyal and valuable customer.

Prices as usual, reasonable. The store layout is easy to navigate and is clean and well stocked. Service is decent, but at a peak time there were nowhere near enough staff at the registers resulting in long queues which was quite annoying.

I went here to get measured and to pick up two (TWO!) new bras as none of mine seemed to fit…read moreanymore. I knew I was chancing my luck to get an appointment then and there but I was told I could be seen in 20 minutes. A couple of minutes I was whisked into the fitting rooms. As a never nude, I do find the whole bra measuring thing a bit invasive but it is a necessary evil. Much to my surprise, gone are the days of cold hands and measuring tapes, instead you stand in your bra and they can tell by your current fit...i was only 2 cup sizes out. The fitting room has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. There is a satin robe if you're that way inclined. And the fitter knocks and waits until you say she can come in. Far better than my last measuring experience where the woman just whipped the curtain open, I screamed and I am sure everyone in the fitting rooms saw my goodies. The shame! I had gone in to get a nude bra and a cute bra. Two. Just two. I came out with four. I regret nothing. I will definitely be going back next time I need a good bra!
