Very tender and juicy with amazing flavor. We had the Grillades du Poulet Deux Cuisses. (Grilled chicken thighs). It came with a leg and a thigh as well as coleslaw and fries. The seasoning on the skin was spot on delicious! I'm in Vermont right now, and still thinking about it. We tried some empanaditas as well. They were small, but tasty. We really liked the spicy fry sauce that came with them. Of course, we had a side order of poutine to share between the 3 of us, which (as always) was a tasty gooey sloppy treat. You order at the counter, and they buzz you when your order is ready. The staff are fun and friendly, and were happy to speak English to my wife and daughter, while I practiced my quebecois. Great prices - much lower than everything in Old Quebec, and to be honest, much more delicious. Because it's off the beaten path, there is no line. So glad we came here on our last night!

There is some confusion here: the same people own a meat shop next door with the same name and somewhat limited hours. The restaurant side is open more. The chicken is great. I believe it is BYOB but I might be wrong about that; call if you're wanting to drink. It is the kind of food that tastes good after a week of traditional, heavy Quebecois cooking: spicy and healthy.

It has been over 30 years since I went to one of these St Hubert restaurants. I went here with my…read moregreat friend from Québec. I treated him for hosting me at his new home for the week. The restaurant was very appealing and super clean outside and inside. We were greeted on the way in by a nice lady. It was not busy so she told us to go ahead and seat ourselves where we wanted. They seemed to have a nice extensive menu, but not too much. The booth we sat in was very comfortable. My friend and I were able to enjoy each other's company and were not rushed. We started with drinks. We both were given ice waters. My friend ordered a beer which was only about $4 and I felt like getting soda. So I ordered just refillable coca cola. We ordered our meals. We pretty much ordered the same thing. I tweeked mine to have it a little different, small upgrade. They brought us the coleslaws next. He had the vinegar, I had the creamy. Adding the crushed pepper to the coleslaw makes it taste even better! Next, the main courses and sides were brought out. We had the whiskkey bbq half rack of ribs and a quarter chicken. It came with seasonal veggies and fries. I made my fries into a poutine because Québec has the best poutine! Also with the dinner, if you order any Rib plate, we also got four free wings each. The wings are plain but have a good small spice flavor to them. We also enjoyed the gravy dip sauce which I dipped my chicken and veggies into. We picked here for the chicken, but was pleasantly surprised with the awesome ribs! Everything here was so tasty! Olivier was our super nice server. He was very tentative and kept coming to check on us. I got plenty of drink refills. Thank you St Hubert for a wonderful experience and a trip also down memory lane!!! Definitely recommend you eat here when in the area!

They can prove to be somewhat popular as who doesn't enjoy a good burger and fries every so often! Chez Victor is an interesting discovery. Looking through their website, the are available in locations near and around the Capital region of Quebec City! I've eaten at their location at Le Bourgeneuf and was pleasantly surprised! They have a simple menu of beef burgers, veggie burgers, a salmon burger, wild boar, chicken, merguez and also sandwiches and salad. Simple selection yet enough to keep you visiting. With a burger you get their home cut fries (quite good) and they offer you a choice of mayo (real quebec style). The even have a poutine confit canard ($14) that I haven't tried yet! On this visit I asked what was the most popular and my server mentioned "the classic" and "montagnard". I chose the montagnard with a 1/2 caesar 1/2 fries ($2 add on) with curry mayo. I found the meal good but a bit too much "creamy" for my liking. Reason was the caesar had a really creamy dressing, the burger had too much chèvre and red pepper pesto. I ate it none the less but I don't think I'd choose this again in the future. This visit was okay but I'll be back to try other burgers in the future!
