Unreliable and doesn't communicate. Geovanni Olvera sent me a picture of the shed he would build…read moreand gave me the quote. I took his recommendations because I didn't want an expensive shed. He took that to mean cut corners and do a bad job. He likes to make excuses and change "what he meant". The picture he sent me he said he would build and that he's done it before. Then when he didn't build that shed he admitted it was an internet photo and that he meant he would build something like it. Doors were floppy and screws were sticking out all over the place. Safety hazard. He said he would return to cut off the screws sticking out all over the doors but didn't. When I told him I wanted the doors like the picture he wanted more money. We paid him and he said he would caulk the shed so all we would have to do is paint it. He apologized for the bad work and said he would do the caulking. I said I'd take him up on that offer. Geovanni said he'll text me to let me know what day he'll stop by to do it. I texted him to ask him what day he was planning on coming he said he'd only do it for $200. He is not honest nor does he keep his word at all. A project he said would be done by 8 Sep 2024 wasn't done until 15 Sep 2024. We still have to inspect the roof for holes. The way he built it will allow water to get in from rain. I asked him for everything on the picture except for painting it. Just shotty work. They did not clean up after they were finished. Left nails, screws, metal pieces and wood pieces all over the yard. I asked him if they clean up he said no. We had had enough and told him to leave the materials that we paid for so my husband could fix the doors himself. Geovanni's plan was to make it completely different from his own picture that we both agreed to and cut corners. We were looking for a contractor to convert a garage into a bedroom and he made a bid but he said he didn't want to deal with permits or inspections. If this shed was any indication of the work he does then he worked and talked his way out of any future jobs from me. If you do a search on all the pictures he has posted or sends you, you will find that all those pictures are online and are the work of other businesses.

Covered pergola was a comedy of errors, miscommunications and delays. From the sales conversation…read moreto the final product, I am still frustrated about the results of my covered pergola 3 years later, especially when it rains. I read many positive reviews for Dreamcatcher Construction and felt like I did my research. I asked a lot of questions, felt confident about choosing this company. Turns out there were questions I didn't know to ask. At the end of the project, they wanted to add $700 due to materials. I talked them down to an additional $500. Yeah, I'm still bitter. FRUSTRATION LIST 1. Months in delays in starting the project even after being given a start date 2. Glad I came home during start of build or they would have built it horizontal to the house instead of vertically -- maybe sales should have known to sketch the layout 3. Incorrect orientation meant incorrect wood lengths were initially delivered = another delay 4. Less cross beams were used due to cover but the beams placed horizontal to the house have been spaced unequally from each other. COMPANY RESPONSE: added an extra beam at my insistance. RESULT: Better but still unequal spacing. 5. Bracket hardware was not included where every support attached to the roof frame (one support faces detached garage and is missing it's bracket) 6. I communicated I wanted the build to extend to my detached garage/laundry room for cover during rain. It stops just short. After it was framed out, I questioned it. COMPANY RESPONSE: It couldn't be any closer. RESULT: Waterfall between the pergola and laundry room door. 7. First rain after completion, waterfall occurred outside back door where pergola attached to house (as well as along the full length of where it attaches to house). COMPANY RESPONSE: "It's a pergola" then sent someone out to fix it with roof tiles weeks later. RESULT: Better but still leaked even over door. (Another company repaired the roofline during roof replacement.) 8. Leaks across the middle of the build where two covers overlap. COMPANY RESPONSE: Attempted fix with added caulking at seam, weeks after. RESULT: Leaks less. Looks like crap. If sitting under it during rain, still get rained on. 9. Back door overhang had to be removed for pergola attachment. Shouldn't have been left for me to touch-up the paint. 10. Unstained wood was used to add stairs off my back stoop. Love Skip's design, but it shouldn't have been left for me to stain. 11. That step has a thin edge piece that threatens to snap when stepped on. 12. I do like the stained wooden railing that replaced the metal railing. This covered pergola didn't lived up to my expectations. Not sure it was worth the thousands of dollars. Sometimes I wish I would've bought a freestanding pergola kit. It would have been much less expensive and hopefully wouldn't have leaked so I could sit under it during the rain.
