I got passed from person, to person, to person. That was after staying on hold for hours. Good luck even getting an actual person to explain your story over and over. They would not let me speak with a supervisor. They told me twice that a supervisor would call me. That never happened. I was told I would get an email from a supervisor. That did not happen. If you want to never get your delivery and get incredibly disillusioned and upset...by all means use DHL.

I am in Italy, my credit card was compromised. My bank sent a replacement card via FedEx. FedEx turned it over to DHL. I didn't receive the email with delivery date. They tried to deliver it, I wasn't home. It was sent back to the US. My bank sent a second card. The email tracking number said it would arrive yesterday Monday 7/29. We waited home all day. In the meantime I called the number in the email and would up speaking to someone in The US who hadn't a clue. He, Reynard, said someone would call me within 3 hours! It was 2:45pm... no one ever called. I am leaving for the states tomorrow. So this morning I finally found an Italy phone number for them. I was told the package was in Sesto Fiorentino, which is several buses, plus a 10 minute walk, and 14K away from where I live. When we called back to say they needed to deliver it today we were told it was already sent back to the shipper! Had I gone all the way out there and found it not there try to imagine what I might have done! DO NOT EVER USE THIS TERRIBLE COURIER SERVICE! In April I ordered a dress from Johnny Was in the US for Easter. Somehow they wanted €222.00 duty for a dress that was overpriced in the first place ($265.00) I emailed back to DHL to make sure I was understanding that my dress was being held hostage. No reply. Finally they wrote back to tell me I owed an additional €75.00 for storage! I told them to send it back! To date I have not been refunded!

This is a small place. You walk to the kiosk and get a number for common postal services (A) or to…read moremail out packages (P). You look at the screen to see which booth to go. The woman serving us from booth 4 was a bit intense. Firing instructions at us like a drill sergeant. Security is high here. They provided a medium sized box to us (€4) through a table that had plexiglass walls that opened and closed for us and them. We had to package the family items in the box that we were sending to Florida and they even included 3 pieces of tape. We had to fill out two forms putting addresses and content description. For 5kg it costs €45 and said it would take over a month, without tracking. It would have been a whopping €82 for "faster" delivery with tracking; very pricey!

However, I wanted another pair of boots that they did not have in my size and would have to make them. They told me that they would make the boots and ship them to me in the US. The additional charge was 50 Euro to have it shipped to me. They stated to me that they would email me once my boots had shipped in about 4 to 6 weeks. I never received that email. When I emailed them requesting information about when I would likely receive them at the beginning of July, they also did not respond. Since I have hadn't received the boots that I have paid for, I disputed the claim with my credit card company. They are now saying that I received the boots at the time of purchase. I have 2 witnesses that I did not. Buyers beware! Buy on site only!!!
