My mom has had Dr.Biliouris as her primary care doctor for many years.After my sister passed away 2…read moremonths ago,I have taken over as caregiver for her and have been there with her to her doctors appointments about 5 times now.I find Dr. Biliouris to be a very caring and a compassionate doctor and my mom loves him However,I find the emplyees that he staffs or should I say some of them, are very incompetent for the position they hold with no customer service manners at all.My mom was nauseus for a few days so I called the office trying to get her a prescription for a mild medication to help her stomach settle.The receptionist who answered said she would speak with the doctor and have him call something in..I never heard another word all day about it.I called the pharmacy she uses and bothered them 4 times that day but was told nothing was called or faxed in.I called the doctor's office the next morning only to be told that he didn't want to call anything in because he doesn't know why she is nauseus.Mind you,we were there 5 days prior and she was fine.They know her whole history,know the fact that she is stressed and depressed from losing a 2nd daughter and they also know she has transportation issues because I work full time on week days when they are open.I was upset that they didn't even call me back to tell me this the day it was requested..At the very least, I should have gotten a return call to let me know there would be no prescription and they should have recommended something she could try over the counter . I then requested that the doctor call me As my mom thought,that also never happened after wasting another day trying to make her feel better. I honestly question whether he was even given the message.I called back a 3rd day in the morning to see why I hadn't heard from him and was told he was there til after 5:00PM and didn't have time to call. I only wish I only worked until 5 and could ignore requests for a phone call from a sick patient.I then asked why he didn't call when he returned the following morning.My answer again was, "He doesn't come in until 8:30AM and there were 3 patients waiting for him and he didn't have time..My first thought was well we've been waiting for 4 days to hear something.After getting impatient with the foolish excuses the recepstionist was giving me ,I again told her I wanted to hear from him that day.We had a few more words and her last words to me were "I'm not listening to you yelling on the telephone, she hung up on my ear.At this point,I am apalled at the "lack of customer service" and care that was shown for my 86 year old mom.She put her trust in him and his staff many years ago but, now when she needs them,they don't even have time for a phone call.It is now 5 days later and I still have not heard a word from the doctors office.This is the fine care being given to our senior citizens on Cape Cod.Unfortunately,I'm not sure where the blame lies.I tend to believe that its from the lack of careness in his staff.Something that should be the protocal for being hired at any physicians office.They should be made to attend "Customer Service" classes after being hired and learn the "do's" and "don't" for customer service.Quite naturally, they will have alot of communication with the elderly when employed by a physician..Hanging up on ones ear is inexcusable in my book especially when one puts their trust in you to care for them. I was taught, right or wrong...Customers are always right!....I feel it should be the same way in any public facility.After this incident,I'm truly considering finding her a new primary care doctor for her, one that will be there when needed,one who make calls when needed and one who hires a staff that are trained properly who can handle stressful times "on the job" in a physicians office.Hanging up on ones ear does nothing for a doctor's office reputation.I find it hard to believe that this is the best staff he can find and if its a matter of holding down "the budget", then its time to rethink whats most important and find qualified willing and able experienced people who love their job ,ones who have a personality before he finds his "patient list" depleting! It may be worth the few extra bucks he may have to pay out to find the qualified staff to keep the good reputation up that he's always had!

I am disgusted by the way I was just talked to.. basically told to find another doctor even though my kids have seen them their whole lives. I was only asking for an opinion and instead I got a boat load of s$&@! I'm done, it's a wrap, we will be moving on.. so disappointed

Dr. Shapira was my pediatrician since i was a baby (1973). He was the only Dr. that would…read moreofficially diagnose me with asthma. Today I'm 46, he taught me how to control my Asthma and anything else that arose while growing up. He was also the only Dr. I have ever seen that gave the shots to his patients rather than send the nurses in to do it. Looking back that has always impressed me. When I had my first son (1993), naturally, i chose him. He might not be able to give his own shots but I know if he isn't in the office I can leave my name and number and the issue I'm having with my kids and HE'LL be the one returning my phone call even at 9PM. Today I have 4 boys, he takes great care of all of them (all have varying degrees of asthma, one of them has it as severe as I do), I owe so much to Dr. Shapira for taking care of my whole family, 2 generations now. I've seen other Dr.s over the years and more and more that seem to just be collecting patients rather than caring for them like the originals do. Shapira is one of the ones that never lost sight of why he does what he does. I can't thank him enough. The girls in the office have always greeted me with a smile and are great with my kids as well. If your looking for a Dr that cares about what he does he is the one i would recommend, it seems to be harder and harder to find the ones that aren't just seeing dollar signs.....

I've been billed for testing that I did not given verbal or written consent to TWICE. Both bills…read morehave been well over $100. The one NP I saw was not gentle what-so-ever and Dr. Tripp did not listen when I told him to ask me before scheduling blood tests. I'm sick of the carelessness that these "Doctors" demonstrate.

Excellent practice! All the physicians are extremely nice and encourage you to voice your concerns…read moreand questions. Dr. Vardo delivered my first child and she was very diligent my care. There are ultrasound services on site and our tech Nancy was fabulous! I highly recommend this practice!
