My appt time was 9am however I work at the hospital and because of problems on getting out on time it's definitely my fault. But I did not deserve the punishment for the crime ! I walked in at 9:17am. Waited a few minutes for another customer at the desk. Gave my name and attendant screeched that I was a no show (hello I'm here)- and I could never. Ever go there again. Having moved to the area recently, I reached out to this office, as it was located within LensCrafters, a custom I'm familiar with off-Cape. Since it was my primary visit with this practice, they took close a look at my retina and macula with an advanced Nikon mapping device, which avoided the need for eye dilation drops. They now have a history they can refer to during my next visit. The Dr. was patient with the process of optimizing my prescription. Although I haven't received my new glasses yet, I have confidence the prescription will be a welcome fine-tuning for these next few years. I would return to and recommend Dr. McQueen's practice for a very thorough exam and prescription.

Initially I went to him a few years ago because I needed a new glasses prescription and his office was convenient at the time. I continue to visit him because I like the very thorough exam I receive from his friendly technician and him, the up-to-date equipment in his office (no dilated eyes!) including a magic laser exam that shows everything going on in your eyes! His office is located within the Lenscrafters at the euphemistically named "Festival Mall" right on Iyannough Road in Hyannis. You won't see the (strip) Mall from the street, and the office is at the entrance next to the Pier One, so plenty of close parking most days. What keeps me from giving 5-stars is the check in procedure, where the staff person recited my name, phone and full address loudly enough for another waiting patient to sit up and take notice, only to greet me by name when I sat down to wait. I would expect that while HIPPA rules may not apply to an eye exam, simple common sense would, and the staff could minimize the privacy invasion. Otherwise, pretty simple and polite check in and out. Holly, at the front desk, was super friendly and helpful. She did a great job of making me feel comfortable and welcome -- explaining everything as we went. Dr. Waterbury was also very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. I've had glasses since I was in kindergarten...and am 30 now (so you can imagine the amount of doctors I've visited). Dr. Waterbury is the most thorough (and youngest, ha!) eye doctor I've been to -- he gave his professional opinions and had legitimate reasons backing them up...all the while cracking jokes in between. And hey look, Doc! Now you can say you're the #1 Yelp-rated Optometry Practice in Falmouth! FREE advertising! ;)

Been going here the last 2-3 years. The doctor is very nice and discovered I was being misdiagnosed…read moreby my old eye doctor who kept telling me I had astigmatism when I didn't actually have astigmatism. The doctor fixes me right up I got new prescription and ever since I haven't had the eye pain or headaches that was having for decades going to my old doctor. Only issue is this place is limited with the eye glasses selection but that's no big deal.

Avoid Puzio Eyecare. They are more interested in maximizing their revenue than making sure you get…read moreproper glasses. I went there because my optometrist suddenly dropped our insurance. Puzio upgraded my lenses to premium lenses without discussing why or the cost. It doubled the cost of my glasses. The bill also had charges such as custom measurements. When I picked up my glasses they said are they tight enough and sent me on my way. After a few days I was still having trouble reading so I went back and got them adjusted. They still didn't work. The eye exam was done differently than I had experienced with in the past and I did not feel it was very good so I went to an optical practice I used before we moved here. Guess what! The prescription was wrong. Puzio did change the lenses to this prescription but I had to pay for that in addition to their overpriced glasses.
