Jerry, at Picture Depot stands out as amazingly great. He's framed a number of pictures for us - photos from Africa, an oil from Africa and a large collage we bought in Israel. He has extraordinary taste and skill. The oil was a challenge, since he didn't have a lot of extra canvas to stretch. The collage was extra challenging because he had to make a shallow shadow box to ensure the acrylic paint would not get damaged by the glass. Workmanship is top notch and pricing is fair. Oh, and he personally delivered our Africa photos and hung them on the wall in a way we would never have considered. We and everyone that sees the way Jerry arranged the pictures love what he did. Impossible to find anyone better.

I saw that he knew them by name and treated them as if they were very good friends. First the elderly woman who was there really appreciated this and held him in high regard. While the gentleman was jovial and happy to see him as if entering a neighborhood hangout place. That speaks volumes to me about his integrity. Framing is expensive and if well done is a good investment for original work so I got archival museum quality mat and glass a simple brown frame. He was spot on with suggestions after hearing my vision. Later when I want to pick it up I didn't have my invoice but he immediately recognized and so brought up my beautiful framed photograph. At first I was doubtful as to whether the mat size was too big, making the image seem too small but he made me a visual comparison of two framed pieces on the wall. As a gallery curator myself I tend to understand the concept of a lot of white space around an image I saw his point. He offered to change it then and there and I hesitated but still he told me that I should take it home hang it on the wall live with it and if I don't like it he would change it. Looking forward to going back, I see a Christmas present or two coming out of there. Perhaps a decorative glass bowl with what looked like pebbles from a stream embedded in it, or a cool mirror / mosaic piece, or one of the many distinct paintings that are aplenty.
