This is a wonderful little casual and very humble wine bar / cafe across from the Teatro Nuovo…read moreserving various bruschettas, a few paninis, and various drinks including local wines for dirt cheap.
Offerings include smoked raddichio, "salsa" salami, eggplant, mushroom, roasted red pepper, and cheese heated up in a specialty oven along with drinks and ridiculously reasonably priced small glasses of local wines.
The place is run by a wonderful older gentleman who's been here 27 years, as of 2016. He doesn't speak more than a word here and there of English but he is super friendly and welcoming. This is a simple place, nothing fancy, complicsted or pretentious. So just relax and enjoy good conpany. Make yourself at home. :) Ribolla gialla, a local wine varietal is among the specialties. Also friulian grappa. :P
