I brought my mom in to see Dr. Posada after terrible service with another PCP. I realize the office is busy and yes I was on hold for a bit when making my appointment but I must say it was well worth it. Dr. Posada was upfront and very thorough, I would recommend him to anyone. Dr. Posada ordered a full blood work up for my mom and found she was anemic just as he suspected from just looking at her. She ended up having to stay in the hospital for 10 days where they found other issues my mother had. Her last PCP didn't even pretend to care about what was going on with my mom. I will forever appreciate the care Dr. Posada gave us, his staff also followed up with us several times. Highly recommend Dr. Juan Posada. Please don't get discouraged if you have to wait on hold or if your call gets dropped and you have to call back. Once you are in and have your appointment then you realize that's what matters. read more

This place is a scam. Some of the staff is dismissive and borderline rude. Appointments somehow get lost even though they are booked weeks in advance. This doctors office is a joke , the dr himself is friendly and all but the staff is a joke . It's a really disorganized . You come in for an appointment and they make you wait 40-50 minutes . Then when you finally get put in a room you get to wait some more for the doctor mean while you get like 4 different people poking at you . This guy and his staff are grossly inefficient and horrible at organization. I made an appointment with him for a general physical and to get a couple of referrals to other doctors. The first time I made an appointment they ended up writing down the wrong time requested even after repeating back to me 3 times the correct appointment time, so I had to wait an additional hour to be seen. Once I was seen Dr. Posada spent most of the time taking calls on his mobile phone. No he didn't step out of the office, no they weren't necessarily business calls, and yes, it was all in my allotted time with him! He would be in the middle of listening to my answer to one of his questions and his pocket would ring, and that was it, I had lost his attention. I heard one call talking about dinner plans. So it was not like there was a dying patient on the other line which I would have understood (had he excused himself and left the room). So after I was able to get his attention for long enough I told him that I needed a referral for an annual pap smear and i am only comfortable with women physicians, so I would like a female Dr. and then I needed a referral to a neurologist for my migraines. "Ok, no problem, we'll get those in the mail for you" was his response. A couple weeks later I get 2 referrals in the mail, one for a male OBGYN, and one for a podiatrist?! A podiatrist? What the hell is wrong with my feet? I called Dr. Posada's office and explained the mistakes to them, namely that they got the wrong sex of the OBGYN, and the wrong body part that the brain is located in, and they told me that if I wanted to get another referral I would have to make another appointment with Dr. Posada, which is ridiculous. When I explained that he knows the situation and I am sure that it's in the notes, and that there was just an error in communication (trying to give them the benefit of the doubt) the girl on the phone actually said "Well if you don't tell the doctor what you want, we can't get it for you" and proceeded to get snarky with me. Maybe if the doctor would pull his ear away from the phone, and the front end staff would pull their heads out of their as(ok, I am not going to say it, I want to, but I am not going to) then they would be able to run a functioning office where people can actually get the medical attention they need. read more

This doctor is an amazing one, but his office staff are so unorganized that its pathetic. I asked for new referrals since I got new insurance, and they said sure. Now three months later, no referrals. I wish he could manage a clinic that was organized and less crowded. I understand that he wants to serve the underserved, but why not give full attention and quality care? He was in the middle of a breast exam when a mentally disabled guy walked right into the exam room. Then after him came an angry mom yelling his name. All the while I'm naked in front of everyone! His phone never stops ringing and he never gets off it. Doesn't he want to pay close attention to me? I mean I'm paying for his time. Isn't that important to him. My mom stormed out of his office after waiting almost two hours this week. A good doctor is one who cares about his/her patients. This guy has no respect for patients. So, you wait for 2 hours, you are pissed off, and then they come over and check your blood pressure...oh, it's high...so let me give you a prescription for high blood pressure. Really? I switched my parents over to Dr. Juan Posada since he was a local Dr. in their area who spoke Spanish. We had an appointment and waited well over 1 hour. The "nurse" took my parents vitals in a pretty open area (behind the reception desk) so there is very little privacy. Dr. Posada's office has plenty of staff working the front desk. Unfortunately, they aren't very helpful and a bit rude. On numerous occasions I have called to either schedule an appointment or inquire on why they aren't returning approvals to the pharmacy for my parents medication. At each occasion they had me on hold for well over 40-50 minutes. I mean 40 minutes to schedule an appointment! They have no online system or even a dedicated person to take care of this. Talk about inefficiency at its best. I finally had to switch my parents to a new Dr. as their service was just awful! read more

The most aweful experience. We went to Dr. Juan office for immigration record. They asked us to prepared for the blood test result and never told me that they have an expiration date of 30 days to get back to the office to get the medical records finished. Because there is some delay in the blood test records from our primary doctor. Dr. Juan refused to do medical fee for us as we returned blood test after 30 days since the first office visit. Dr. Juan office never told us this 30 days expiration policy before and only let us know that when we turned back the tests materials. And they still charge us the medical record fee even if they have done nothing and wasted us lots of time. read more

My husband and I have been Dr Posada's patients for three years already. My experience at his office has been ok...I didn't care to much of the waiting time for seeing him every time when I had an appointment...I was willing to continue having him as my primary doctor until today. I realized that he doesn't even know my medical history or he doesn't even take the time to read about my results from specialists that he referred me to...I really don't know why we need a primary doctor if he is going to refer us to the specialist to find out what we have...I went to see him today because I've had a cold for almost three weeks already and I wanted to be tested for corona virus because it could be that. He gave me the order and told me to check for corona virus testing locations on the Internet...I went home to check on the Internet and I found out that he is supposed to have the testing kits in his office to take the sample and send it to the nearest Lab. I also called my health insurance and they told me the same thing, they told me to contact my primary doctor's office again because the sample needs to be taken by him or be coordinated with CDC. When I called Doctor Posada's office and I told them what I found out on the internet about how to be tested for corona virus they told me sorry, we don't have testing kits, we cannot do it here, you will have to find out how to get it done, we just give you the order...I told them that I won't be able to get it done then...they didn't care they just said ok and hung up...It is so sad how our health is being treated by healthcare providers and insurances...we are just another number, they do not care about us, we are just business for them, and they need to see us for everything that way they can charge us and claim to our health insurances for everything...this is just a small example on how bad the health system is right now...We need global health for everybody!!! read more

This office is the worst! If I could give negative stars I would. They overbook their appointments knowing that people will wait because they speak Spanish. If you have an appointment, be ready to wait minimum 45 mins. And this is with an appointment! When you get inside, they only let you talk about one topic, and they ask you to make another appointment to discuss any other concerns. Of course, because they want to charge your insurance again. A VERY old review, but nonetheless here goes. Went in to see Dr. posada years ago for a flu and nauseous feeling. I kid you not, a substantial amount of money later, he sends me home with SAMPLES of Prevacid for my nausea, and tells me to take Tylenol for the fever! read more

I would give this physician zero stars if that was an option. My 85 year old father (who is a navy veteran and a retired government employee) hasn't even seen him since I established this physician as my father's primary...he's seen a nurse practitioner that has been sub par with evaluation, treatment and follow up. We wait 2 hours to be seen despite an appointment. I have waited for a referral that was supposed to be completed over 1 month ago and have called the office 3 times this week for a follow up with no follow up. Either this doc needs to hire more staff or limit the patients he 'sees'. I would've hated to spend all that time in medical school to be classified as a shitty doctor with an awful practice. I don't recall who referred me to this doctor, but I am so grateful! I have been going to this office for about 8 years! It's so wonderful to go into a place where they know your name:) This doctors office is now my favorite and only- Family physician, even my children come to see Dr.Sofia Posada after out horrible experience at a Pediatric Dr.who didn't care about my health concern with both of my children, he just ignored some issues so unprofessional,we left that Pediatric this month after almost 8 years.Dr.Sofia Posada who has no relation to Dr.Juan Posada, just so you know ,many people think that she's married to Dr.Posada,lol! I have to express that she is just an amazing human being,she is kind,sweet,gently,caring ,expressed interest in you as a person ,a patient and will listen to your aches and pains. I had known Dr.Sofia Posada in the past she worked with Dr.Ali Zaki, he's an OB ,who is located right out side the front door of this office.When I meet Dr.Sofia Posada at Dr. Zaki ,she just impress me with her warm character. Since we all have had awful experiences with doctors not paying attention or showing any interest in patients. *If you want great patient care I recommend Dr,Sofia Posada. I do want to comment on this office, yes it get busy but if you make an appointment be prepared to wait a bit.I haven't encounter this problem at all in my case, but I do see others suffering.Why, not prepare yourself ahead of time is what I say , show up at least 30min.earlier, reality is it's not that bad. I have never had to wait, and I do show up at least early to all my appointments! I was told by the receptionist that on days that Dr.Juan Posada is in the office, there are longer wait time.This is why I have never met or had him as my doctor,was super happy to know Dr.Sofia Posada also worked in this Family Care office. *I DO NOT RECOMMEND-Dr.Dolores Orozco- in Dr.Juan Posada's, she is that type who will not listen to the patient,and rushes you.How horrible that I had to see her one day I showed up very sick.I had been sick for awhile after my surgery,my immune system was shot.The Dr.Orozco acted as if I was making all this up in my head,and she even dogged me! What a rude lady,she has an attitude,yes she's a Dr.but gives her no right to treat people less! So, I returned to Dr.Sofia Posada and told her about my experience w/Dr.Orozco she's the type that you can talk comfortably about anything. Dr.Sofia sent me in for x-rays asap,and gave me antibiotics, it ended up that I had been suffering for 3 months from Bronchitis and had now "Pneumonia" ! And then they keep trying to talk to me in Spanish just because I'm Hispanic doesn't mean I have to speak Spanish my wife was with me and she wanted to know what was going on with me as well but for some reason they didn't get the point. I came back to this office after not having been there for four years. I was quickly reminded why I hadn't been back... The wait is always long regardless of whether you have an appointment or not (my parents come here as well and have always had to wait a while to be seen). They book too many appointments and try to squeeze in walk-ins to make more profit. They seemed to have A LOT of employees but it was chaotic. When I was called in, I was first helped by a young lady who I guess is doing physician assistant's training. She took my blood pressure and asked me some questions then told me the doctor would be in shortly. While I was waiting, several different employees kept coming into the room before apologizing and walking back out. They didn't even seem to remember which rooms they were putting people in. The doctor finally came in with the young assistant and the first thing he tells me about is a weight loss program that they offer. He asked if I was interested and I said no, but he just stared at me and told the assistant to talk to me about it anyway. After asking me to stand while he poked and prodded at me a little, he asked some questions about where I worked and if I was in school and stared at me some more when I told him no, I'm not anymore (so now I'm feeling obese AND uneducated. Hurray!). All I wanted to do was get out of there but they wanted me to do some more tests so I had to wait some more. A lady came into the room and was leading me to the doctor's office before he waved me away and said he'd already spoken to me. When they finally found someone to perform the last test (there were at least five different girls running around but like I said, it was chaos) they asked me to undress from the waist up and wait again. The test was over pretty quickly but people kept bursting into the room while I was trying to get dressed. I won't be coming back to this office if I can help it. read more

This doc is real and doesnt b.s around,i work for a demolition company and we have a contract with him on seeing our employee's first aide's he give's all the employee's great care and doesn't milk the company on making the workers go back for follow ups when they dont need too. Called in to schedule my mother to see Dr Juan Posada. The receptionist puts me on hold after 20 minutes go by. She tells me hold on let me see when he's available. Another 20 minutes go by and another front desk receptionist goes how I can help you. Omg I told her what the other receptionist had done and she puts me on hold and gets back on the line after 5 minutes says I have this date and time available I ask her do you have a sooner date. I was put on hold again 10 minutes on hold just to say so do you want the appointment instead of saying there's nothing sooner. I told the receptionist you were going to check for me if anything sooner came up and with an attitude she replied there isn't. There customer service has been horrible for years. Just to schedule an appointment and be thrown around from one receptionist after another explaining each time to schedule an appointment and to get no where is unacceptable. I would not recommend this office nor this doctor to my worst enemy! If I could give zero starts I would. My experience at this office more than once was horrible. It is definitely a chop shop they care nothing zero about there patients and have you wait more than 2hours even with an appointment, mind you that it takes about a month to get in. Front staff is rude and they have no idea what they are doing. I went in for a cold what ended up being allergies the doctor prescribed me steroids that made me so sick and had nothing to do with my cure to allergies. Second time I went in was for a severe throat infection and again I was prescribed steroids they didn't even take a swab for possible strep throat which I ended up having. After a 3hour appointment I was sent home with no antibiotics. I was sick for weeks until finally I went in and asked to speak to the doctor I was not going to wait and I was definitely going to give him a peace of my mind. He apologized and said that his wait time of 2+ hours will never change he asked I look for another doctor as he will never be able to see me sooner even with an appointment as far as all the wrong meds they prescribed me he apologized and gave me antibiotics to last me months as his way to have me leave and not come back. Never again!! I cant believe how this man is still a doctor please stay away from this place. read more

Thank God I took my 84 year old dad to see Dr. King, because Dr. Posada had told me and my dad that he had pancreatic cancer, after all the worrying I took him for a second option with Dr. King, and Dr. King performed 2 different test on my dad and they both came back negative. Doctor Posada he's a good doctor. Unfortunately he has a staff that's horrible. You schedule an appointment and when you get there have to wait over an hour or two that's ridiculous. I told the doctor why was the wait time so long he said it was his staff doing the best they can please they have straight up attitude customer service here is the worst.
