The receptionist that checked us in was nice, they have an underground parking lot, which looks dicey. When we got to our room, it was small and quaint, but had all the amenities you would need in a room. Toilet seat was missing the cover, and the glass window was missing a slit of glass, right where you could reach your hand inside, from the outside, to unlock or open the door.... We decided to use the pool, it was nice and refreshing, only 1 other person was in there. We needed towels, so the receptionist charged me 10 pesos more, per towel, and then charged me another 20 pesos for soap and shampoo, for our bathroom. Ended up paying an extra 60 pesos.....all good I guess. Bed was a little hard and kinda lopsided, The A/C unit did its thing, since in Colima its hot and muggy, it really helped. Overall, for 560 pesos (Roughly $28) it wasn't bad, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

This was a lucky find as it wasn't on Yelp and usually it's my go to app. I say, loved it. If you are or have uppity kids you might not love it so much. The first thing my middle child said when he saw the name, Hotelito Escondido was "it should stay hidden." He didn't like the looks from the outside. I must admit I was a little shocked. It is in remodeling phase so it may get better. The rooms are huge, I had two rooms, one that included a kitchen, the other that had a balcony, both had an ocean view! We had a relaxing blast, my daughter who is nine, loved it too. It's not all inclusive, and I prefer this type hotel when traveling, it gets you out and visiting the town. Several beaches we visited only 20 minutes away, and the main plaza with the famous giant marlin is only 15 minutes away. Anyone can afford to have a getaway!

For the last year there have been no lawn chairs. Every time we have expressed to the ownership our dissatisfaction about it, their response has been "we will take your suggestion to get some lawn chairs into consideration." Hopefully the will see the value of putting lawn chairs by the pool.

I give it it the 5 stars for the following: -customer service -architecture -relaxing environment -Food There are a couple things I have to mention as when you book this resort you must be aware of where you are staying. This is Las Hadas, an aged resort with character (Santorini in Mexico) Do not expect to see modern flawless rooms where there is not one defect, the rooms have aged, however, that does not take away from the cleanliness of the room and the quality of all other services. You can expect a relaxing environment, this is not a place you want to stay if you are trying to have a fun and rowdy stay. The resort has a buffet restaurant, two reservation restaurants and one seafood restaurant. I highly recommend to make reservation for the more prestigious restaurants. They do have a spa area where the staff is awesome. All in all, this is a very nice resort. The service and architecture keeps me coming back.

You'll be right next door to the Cathedral Basilica Menor Ave Maria and surrounded by shops, and restaurants. The staff at this hotel are AWESOME...they'll treat you as family. And the breakfast buffet that this hotel offers is very good...you can even get customized omelets, pancakes for us Americans. ;) Overall, the cafe has great service, and great food. You won't be disappointed at all! :) Recommendation: Come and stay at this hotel early December when the city starts to celebrate the Virgen de Guadalupe. The city comes to life every evening, there's food, live music, and none stop celebrations. It's awesome city to celebrate! :)
