The playful front display caught my eye, and I appreciated the humor of the staff. They were accommodating in terms of language preferences, and the overall value for the items purchased was noteworthy. Overall, I would consider returning in the future. An added benefit was the proximity of another location very near to each other.

I poo pooed the very idea. Me. Sit. Not likely even as my joints ached and creaked. But my wife was pointing to a chair with a battery operated back massage contraption at €30 (so it's not cheap tat). I switched it on and sat for twenty minutes and I gotta tell ya it was delightful - the contraption worked wonders in the small of my back. I was surrounded by mostly overpriced most likely Chinese rubbish made from variations of plastic and other chemicals. I cannot conceive of a single item worth buying but I do confess to the delights of the Chinese made massage contraption. The reality was though that within 5 minutes of leaving the Hop all the pains and aches re commenced, still it was enjoyable for the time I sat. If tats your thing and buying stuff you can't conceivably ever need this is your dream emporium.

Colégio Militar/Luz Metro Station has an entrance pretty much right outside if you're visiting on public transport. The look/feel of the mall is very interesting - it has parts that show a little need for TLC, while other parts are modern or showcasing the stunning traditional Portuguese architecture, I did find the layout of the mall to make it quite difficult to navigate overall though. There was a giant Christmas tree in the central area of the mall, right in front of Nespresso which was a festive touch as I visited in December. It is home to the largest Primark in Portugal. Other international brands located here include Adidas, BOSS Menswear, Foot Locker, Nespresso and many others. There is also a supermarket (Continente) and a blast from the past, as there's a bricks-and-mortar Toys "R" Us store here, a brand which vanished back home in the UK many years ago. For food and drink, there are a couple of options for fast food including Burger King and McDonald's, but there aren't many options for coffee. I was surprised to see Starbucks absent from the mall. One of the coolest things about the mall for me is that most of the stores are open until midnight. A mall like this would likely close around 8-9 PM back home in the UK, so for a night owl like myself this is awesome! Although, this is traditional in Lisbon as a whole. 4* - The best place to shop in Lisbon, not without its flaws but certainly worth a visit on a rare rainy day in the city or if you have to pick up something while visiting the Portuguese capital.

There is a movie theater and the food court was amazing. A very good experience, overall. Once I got what I needed I went to the Metro which is under the mall to come back to my hotel.
