    Some of things I bought.

If you're looking for some gifts for folks back home and can't buy another keychain or fridge magnet, then this is the place to visit. It has better quality products such as high-end soups and toiletries. Some soap bars are 8 euros for a tiny one and 15 Euros for the full-sized bars. We bought 5 bars for family and some stationary products. They also have sardine cans and other food products for gifts. Books are also offered. All products are displayed beautifully and artfully. Give this place a visit if you are fresh out of options for gifts or for something to buy to remember Lisbon for yourself.

This tiny shop is not your typical souvenir pot, for it offers an eclectic collection of treasures that you might not find in other shops. They an array of scented soaps for both men and women, some very cool ceramics, and stacks of blankets that will remind you of your trip to Portygal. The whole place has an antique feel to it , almost as if you were stepping back in time. The only issue I had with this one was that some of the prices did see a bit high.

    Yes i splurged!!

Is it pricey? Yes it is. Will you want to give them all your money? Quite possibly. A Vida Portuguesa is not your average gift store. They have collected speciality gift items and souvenirs from all over in their beautiful shop. It's filled with beautiful treasures. I spent at least a couple of hours browsing through their amazing collection of soaps, rugs, throws, porcelain, postcards, oils and chocolates. If you want to take something special back from Portugal this is the place. I had read a lot about Claus Porto soaps, and they 'apparently' are Oprah Winfrey's favorite thing from Portugal. Well I had to see/smell them for myself. You see these beautifully packaged soaps as soon as you enter the store. They smell and look amazing, I just knew I was going to end up spending a lot of my money here (glad to have come here on the last day) But I'm so glad that I did. A trip to this beautiful store makes your trip complete they have so many amazing things. It's definitely a must see and I'm definitely coming back with an empty suitcase and a loaded wallet :)

It is a pretty cool shop in Lisbon. You can get a big range of local products, like sardines, olive oil, ports, liqueurs, soaps, and much more. They also have a lot of nice hand crafted articles, like famous Portuguese swallows, drawings, painting reproductions, etc. The shop is located in a beautiful old venue. Why did I only gave it 3.5 - 4 stars? The prices are quite steep and I loved just browsing around and looking for some inspiration and ideas, however I didn't buy there anything. If you are looking for a nice gift for someone this might be a good place to start.

(12/18/2016) A gorgeous store with beautiful and special Portuguese items. They're really selling you on the atmosphere, and we were buying it. Place was packed, looked like locals and tourists alike. Prices were high, as you would expect for such real estate. We bought some fancy locally made soaps. A lovely place to peruse, almost in a museum-like atmosphere. If you like pretty packaging, this place is for you.

Postcards bought at A Vida Portuguesa; they do sell the sardine boxes in the shop!

Cerâmicas na Linha was widely recommended by acquaintances and influencers all over Tiktok but none of that prepared me for the overwhelming compulsion to buy everything minutes after stepping into the shop. Were it not for luggage restrictions, I would have definitely done a lot more damage here. While the store itself is not super large, it's easy to spend hours browsing as there are a multitude of items ranging from decorative centerpieces, ornamental trinkets to practical tableware as well as intricate Portuguese tiles. I was just in Japan marveling over all the ceramics that I wished I could bring home, but I have to say the Portuguese ceramic game is on a whole another level... the pieces are unique (no two pieces are identical), well-made and best of all, very economically priced. I ended up purchasing multiple pieces of tableware (plates and bowls) while my partner bought a large ornamental ceramic cat as a gift -- all for around 70 euros! Make sure to ask them for bubble wrap (priced at 1€ per square meter-- the ladies at the counter will tell you how much you need) to protect your pieces for the journey home. A must visit during your trip to Lisbon to stock up on the most unique of gifts and home tableware, but if you plan on visiting I would recommend bringing along an extra suitcase! :^)

Many of the pieces are sold by weight and some are by the piece. There are mugs, cups, saucers, plates, bowls and all sorts of other things to use in the kitchen and dining room. Once I figured out the system, I ended up with two absolutely beautiful white coffee mugs and a very pretty pink bowl. The young lady who rang up my sale wrapped them in paper and they survived the rest of the day in Lisbon and then the journey back to home. The bowl is on my desk. In my research to find out where I could buy some to bring home, Fábrica Sant'Anna popped up in every blog and article I read about. They have two locations in Lisbon, the one with the original factory from the 1700's is a bit bigger than the one downtown. You can buy individual small tiles to medium sized ones to larger ones. You can buy a set that make up a picture to a large artistic piece that is several feet tall and wide. The little tiles make great little gifts for people back home. I ended up choosing several tiles of various sizes in the same color scheme to make up a collage of tiles. They also have everything from hand painted tea sets to door knobs to big and little vases to chairs and a table. The traditional colors are the white and blue tiles but I found myself drawn to the more colorful ones. They are very helpful and you can ask them if they have certain pieces or things that you want on your tile. They can also do custom orders as well and they do ship internationally. The lady that worked at the original warehouse told us that you can take a picture of what you want and that she would capture that on the tile. Outside of the original warehouse where they originally made the tiles, you can peruse the different Azulejos that they've made. All of the tiles are baked at an extremely high temperature too so you can use them outside or even as a hot pad. I highly recommend coming here, even if it's just to satisfy your artistic soul.
