I took family pictures at the Akron location and the whole reason I came to this location was because of the free canvas promotion. We were told to come back after the new year due to them running out of canvases. Come to find out they CLOSED right the New Year and no canvas. So now I'm just out of luck. Horrible waste of time and money. They were behind schedule for our appointment so they rushed us. Which does not work if you have a six month old baby. Most of the photos were not good, and the lady checking us out was pretty rude then we refused to buy a three hundred plus dollar package. Not at all impressed with this place. They had multiple people booked for appointments but only one camera. The lady that photographed my family had no personality whatsoever. Not to mention that although she could see there was quite a glare on my nieces glasses she didn't bother to tell her to remove them so half the photos were useless. Bought the 19.99 package. Come with 33 portraits a free mug and free ornament. Ended up paying 46.99. I asked why 26.00 dollars extra I had to pay for the mugs to be made and shipped to the store. I told the lady then I dnt want the mug or the ornament they said I had to take them they were part of the portrait package. The portraits are of poor quality. All in all very disappointed and will never go back nor will I refer anyone. Anything they can do to make more money. People were rude and was behind on appointments. When you have a 1 1/2 yr old and a 3 month old they become pretty restless when having to wait. Staff was just plain rude. read more

Do not take your infant here for pictures! The company requires 60 "good" shots of an infant. And if the baby gets fussy they make you reschedule and leave! They change props constantly and expect a 3 month old to sit in a hard wooden rocking chair or a bucket when they can't support themselves! read more

After getting pictures taken with my family of 5, we were told to wait the 15 minutes for them to print. So we went to put the kids in the car and my husband stayed with them. I returned in 15 mins, and my pictures were gone. They left them on the counter and someone stole them. I am highly displeased and really wish I got my money back!!! What sick person would steal someone's family pictures? I have had issues and this location before, and this tops the cake. On a side note, the girl who took our pictures made us out my baby on a box and he ended up going down, so I jumped in and busted my knee and they have to fill out a report. She even wanted to put him up two-three feet before this and I said NO! I will be calling corporate when they are open. Our falling accident was handled by taking money off of our total, fine. The baby is ok, and I'm just bruised up. We survived. It happens. But, I am uneasy about some creep having our pictures of our small kids! Don't lay pictures on the front counter next time people! We really wanted to get a nice family picture done so We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our appointment & were told there was 2 groups ahead of us & they were running behind. As we sat waiting we watched the place become pretty busy & watched the 2 groups go in & on to the next room... then a third group went in ahead of us at now 15 past our appointment time & it was a group who arrived well after us. As we decided to walk out, I let the girls at the counter know we were leaving due to long wait & being skipped, they were not caring at all & made my family feel as if they really do not care about their customers. read more

Horrible customer service. I have a 3 month old and was 11 minutes late as a result of my baby needing to eat. We were told they could not take our pictures because the policy is 10 minutes. One minute over the 'policy' and you are refusing a customer? The waiting room was completely empty! She could have been a little more understanding to a mother with an infant. I wish you could give zero stars. The people working when we went in were the rudest people I have ever met. We went in 6 adults and 2 kids one who is 4 and the other is 2 months. We were early, there was a point 10 mins before our appt that a lady asked us if we were all there. My sister asked if we could do one picture quickly because the baby is super happy and not crying. Mind there was no one else in the studio at this point. She said no they had a 6:20 and double booked the 6:30 we would have to wait. My sister was trying be funny and and get them to let us get just one out of the way. She said no and this other woman, who I wish I would of got her name. Came up almost to pick a fight really with us. When I was talking to her asked why I was upset and waving my finger at her. Which wasn't what was happening at all I talk with my hands alot I was saying the number one and held up one finger. Then she went to who I think is the manager and proceeded to whisper (not so quietly) to him that we were causing problems and she just wanted to "take the one picture they want and get them out of here". We then told him not to worry we would be leaving and getting a picture elsewhere. When my other sister told him what was really going on he apologized over and over and said if we wanted to come back another time we could set that up. If your reading this. Id strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere. I had and appointment for 5:20pm Valentine's Day. The day of my appointment. I get a call from the studio stating I'd have to come in 30min earlier 4:50pm. Their reason was staffing availability had changed. Being that I plan my days down to the minute I was irritated, but agreed to the switch. Well here it is 6pm they've officially closed and my children were not able to get their Valentine's Day pictures. Our memories and experience with this company have FOREVER been tarnished. Appointments mean nothing here...waited 30+ minutes with six kids even though three people working. All we needed was one group photo but of course they have a mandatory 60 shots...so had to make kids do all these individual shots we did not need. Then 30+ minute process to go through all pictures. Bathrooms were terribly disgusting- not sure they were cleaned for months with all the mold. Then after all groups were gone- five staff at location and a walk in walked in. Denied a visit due to "no availability" even though clearly no photos were being taken of anyone at the moment. Not sure anyone cares about customer service or business at this place. Yuck!! Absolutely awful experience. We will never be going back and calling cooperate first thing tomorrow morning. My daughter has had her pictures done through portrait innovations at least 10 times in her two years of life but today's experience was absolutely ridiculous. She is a toddler which is noted when scheduling the appointment. She was crying a bit and the second she didn't cooperate, mind you this was only a minute into being in the studio, the boy taking her photo immediately started saying we needed to reschedule for a different day when they would have more time. And instead of trying to make the situation better he just kept repeating that. So we go to leave and spoke with the woman at the front counter, Nikki, who was absolutely amazing. She said we could just have the managers do the pictures and was extremely apologetic. Then the manager, Leon, didn't even let us put my daughter down yet and was saying we needed to reschedule. My mother was trying to explain the situation and he continuously spoke over her and told us to remove ourselves from the studio. He was lacking all people skills and there is really no other way to say this, he was a total ass. Aside from a woman, Nikki and man named Ryan, who were so polite and apologetic, the rest of the experience was truly awful. We will not be going back ever. For a place to specialize in family and children's portraits to be lacking all personal skills is simply astonishing and disgusting. read more

THIS PLACE IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDEST PLACE I'VE BEEN TO! I waited for over an hour with 7 children and 3 families. We were the last group waiting as everyone else had been taken care of. This family walks in and one of the staff members went up to them right away and started telling them as soon as the family was done in the Christmas area they would be next. My families were still standing there. I went up to the counter and the girl said I would be after them, that they were sitting in their car. So 13 adults were sitting in their cars for over an hour in nice fancy outfits instead of in the waiting area with seating? Come on. Then a photographer did acknowledge we were next yet that didn't stop them from taking the other group first, I said get the manager which I found out was the man that was setting the other group up. He told the other staffer that he didn't have time to talk to me. So I marched over to him and he told me that they were going first and told me that they rotate rooms and I was supposed to start in the back room. I was there over an hour already and watched how they were taking people and not once did it occur the way he said and when I told him that he told me that if I didn't like it I would have to reschedule. So we took our business elsewhere. Don't waste your time or money. read more

The customer service absolutely sucks, I felt rushed I did not get all the pics I wanted, I felt like I was annoying the lady that was helping me she was not personable, I am missing pictures and a picture book that I orderd ( this was at Christmas time) I had to come back to get the pics they did not put in the envelope the first time AND worst of all my apt time was at 130 and I did not get them taken until almost 330.. I will never go here ever again I would rather have to wait 2 wks to get pics then have crappy service .. I wouldn't recommend going here.. We arrived 10 minutes early and we had to wait 30 minutes past our scheduled session time (40 min wait) to even begin our session. We had to do the photographers job, short of snapping the pics, because he didn't feel that he could handle an 18mo. I usually spend between $150-$280 on our pics when we come here, but they were horrible so when we were reviewing the pics, the more pics I told him to discard, the less patient he became. By the end of our viewing, he was so rude because we only got the promotional package of pics, which were actually pretty bad too.
