Him…read moreand his irritable, lazy, nurse Danielle consistently took weeks to fill my prescriptions during my time there. EVERY month they would screw it up and tell me I was filling them too early. The nurse Danielle would treat me suspiciously as if I were abusing things such as acid reflux medication. EVERY month it was a dreaded process. First, I needed to contact the pharmacy so that the pharmacy could tell them that they were wrong. They would normally tell the pharmacy they were wrong. Normally, they would call the pharmacy back at least once to accuse the pharmacy of being wrong before admitting defeat by blaming the computer. Of course, that's a load of crap. If it was the computer why the hell didn't they EVER fix it? I'm not making this up. I have online pharmacy records. This happened for at least a year and I always hoped that between the 2 of them they could figure out THEY were wrong and NOT the pharmacy like the other 12+ times they fought over my refill date. I had even tried giving them weeks advanced notice that my refill date was coming up. That only elicted a snobbish response from the nurse despite their track record that gave me reason for concern. I suffered from the incompentence and symptoms from not havng my medication until the very last day. Everything was made worse by BOTH the Dr. and his nurse taking every Monday off. If they left the mess incomplete Friday afternoon nobody was there to clean it up 3 days straight out of 4 days a week. As for Scott or.. Ahem. Charles. I only found out that he lied about his name when I was in the emergeny room and there was a cluster fk because nobody could not find my doctor in their computer system. Eventually, somebody said that there was a Dr. CHARLES Metasovich and asked me whether or not that could be him. Of course, I didn't know. I thought maybe it was his dad because the name Scott isn't even close to Charles. Even my prescription bottles were shady and had. "Dr. Matusovich FNP" rather than a first and last name as most do. Eventually, together in the E.R. of Mercy hospital where they couldn't reach "Scott"/Charles after hours. We all agreed that he must be Charles. I only ended up with him because my original doctor. DR.George Gardner (awesome doctor) left Maine Centers for HealthCare to open a private practice. I hope he is doing well. George was a brilliant doctor and a beautiful, kind, caring family man that radiated a happy calm peace. He instantly put a person at ease, he was thoughtful and listened. I would sometimes assume he wasn't listening to something I said only because all other doctors hadn't. I would be on my way out and suddenly he would have instructions for me or somebody at the checkout would surprise me with instructions from him. Even when he didn't know what was wrong, he was never afraid to TRY. He truly wanted to help all of his patients. .He profoundly changed my life and made so many others. I've never heard a bad word about the man. If there are angels amoung us he is one. I will always think about him from time to time and wonder how he is because he had such an impact on my life. If he still has his private practice somewhere in Maine and you can afford a private practice and are lucky enough to get in then you should see Dr. George Gardner because he will help you because he listens. He listens even when you forget to ask for help.

I came across Alexa by chance as I desperately searched for a new approach to help my RLS, which…read morehad been plaguing me for a while and with which no Western medicine doctor seemed able (or even willing) to help. I found her online, took a chance, and am so happy that I did. Although we saw uncertain and inconsistent results at first, one of the most significant things Alexa did for me was show me the empathy, open-mindedness, and dedication to helping me that doctors had not. Where doctors had been dismissive, Alexa was supportive; where doctors had been narrow-minded, Alexa was receptive and creative; where doctors had been dispassionate, Alexa was committed. Later, when I returned home from college again, I began seeing Alexa again for help with a series of health problems, including night sweats, digestive problems, fatigue, and general exhaustion, that I thought might be connected to an earlier diagnosis of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases that I felt remained unresolved. Instead of being distracted by an exact diagnosis, Alexa focused her attention on my specific symptoms and how to address them at their origin. Her approach is holistic and comprehensive. A huge portion of our first session was spent carefully going over all of my symptoms and experiences and lifestyle choices to get a full picture of my needs and what I hoped to get out of working together. My visits to Alexa helped me realize the full extent of my emotional state regarding my physical pain and symptoms - desperate, frustrated, disheartened, even angry - and to acknowledge their connection to my physical state. The Origin Center is a beautiful respite from the chaotic world outside and it helps you tune in again to yourself and your body and mind. Alexa is knowledgeable and reassuring, and optimistic while still being realistic. For example, she gently told me that I might have to come to terms with the fact that I wouldn't be able to eat gluten again (however, my digestive problems since then have vastly improved and, through careful experimentation in the past few weeks, I have been able to eat gluten again without any adverse effects, which is incredibly exciting). Alexa's passion for her craft and compassion for her clients are clearly evident. Even before I lie down on that acupuncture table, I already feel calmer and more grounded just because of the atmosphere of the Origin Center and Alexa's own energy. Alexa has a presence that is soothing and grounding. She listens and empathizes and makes me feel seen and heard, and she is also not afraid to point out my own role in certain negative patterns I may have fallen into. Every time I leave the Origin Center, I feel rested, calm, and generally renewed. Alexa helped me feel not only physically better, but spiritually more balanced and better equipped to make the necessary changes in my life. My RLS and my night sweats have been largely dormant for the past few months, with only a few flare-ups that always feel improved after a session, and my digestive problems (including periods of time where I was constantly nauseous, vomiting, or experiencing intense abdominal pain) seem nearly if not completely resolved. When I started seeing Alexa, I felt physically as well as emotionally exhausted. I see a vast difference in my state of mind and body now than when I first started seeing her. While there are certainly things I hope to work on more, such as my depression and general mental health, Alexa reminds me rightfully that there are certain changes that only I can make to my own life. Since graduating college, I had felt particularly lost, unfocused, uncertain, unmotivated, and generally unenthused about my life and my plans for the future. Though I am still learning to navigate those stormy emotional waters, Alexa helped me remember the power as well as responsibility I hold for making my own changes. I recently said to her, "I have no idea where I want to go and no idea how to get there and no idea how to figure out how to get there." Instead of confirming my need for surgery, Dr. Nguyen--through her immense knowledge and the leadership of an incredibly dynamic team--found a solution. I was walking home from the bus station one day and saw this place. I figured, why not call? What's to lose? They immediately were so kind, took my insurance, helped me. My PT, Dahne, is absolutely incredible. She has helped me go from barely being able to walk, to being able to climb Katahdin and run seven miles. She has listened to my goals and helped me achieve them- and it's hard work, but she pushes me and teaches me about how strong our bodies can be. I have never met another person that has inspired me so much in my fitness journey. I am so, so grateful for her. I'm still healing- MCL still gets spicy- and I'm so glad I have Dahne to help me. Dr. Alvarez is very professional, nice, and really listens to your problems and concerns. I can't say for the other doctors there because I've only seen Dr. Alvarez. Kathy, one of many medical assistant at that practice, is so sweet and professional. The front desk staff as a whole are nice, but there's one receptionist that needs to work on her attitude. Every time I've checked in with her, she's just very snippy. Maybe she's having a bad day, but I've checked in with her more than five times so I'm not so sure. However, don't let that deter you because the care there is exceptional and they'll do whatever they can to facilitate your needs. If you are a Mercy patient, sign up with Follow My Health. All you have to do is ask the front desk receptionist to get you signed up. Once you do that, there's an app on your mobile device that is free to download and it's super convenient. I use it to schedule appointments, email my doctor, and update my health history.

While he was working at Reform Physical Therapy as a therapist and manager I'm happy to see he is opening his own business now in Kennebunk. A massage friend and DPT professor had recommended him to me after experiencing ankle sprain issues. He wasn't available at the time since was the most frequently requested therapist there. I ended up going to Saco PT in Wells and while I did get some decent work, they do have frequent turnover of therapists and seem to be double booked many times. After a January '25 hip replacement I was successful getting all 14 appts. with Bobby for recovery PT. What I liked: - Dedicated 1:1 apts on time.....no double booked sessions with another client. This means he's attentive to your form while you're doing exercises as opposed to previous experience I've had with other therapists who are working with another patient while you do your exercises or trying to catch up on the previous patient's paperwork. - Provided manual therapy to assist in the muscle recovery needed as a result of the operation. Not just exercises - Listens well and adjusts exercises to adapt to capability level - Bobby's upbeat positive attitude - Is very knowledgeable about the surgery, and all the modalities beneficial to the recovery process - Provides varied exercises while in-house as well as a manageable assortment of exercises for home use. - Is easy to reach for questions. I will be having my 2nd hip replacement in May this year and have already pre-booked recovery sessions with Bobby at KPT. Unfortunately with his new practice, PT referrals from docs will need to be submitted by clients themselves to be reimbursed as his practice doesn't accept insurance. To be honest, I don't blame him, as dealing with insurance companies would probably require another hire to process. On the positive side, his appointments will be for a full hour where Bobby can work on other body areas that have issues, not just the issues identified on the referral. In addition, he does offer a 10-visit bundle package that will reduce the cost a bit. I've decided to book with Bobby despite this insurance hassle I'll have for reimbursement due to his exceptional expertise and attentiveness. He's earned all the acronyms listed after his name. I look forward to working with Bobby again as my personal coach to recovery in May.

I felt totally cared for with his care for my shoulder and then my first Knee PT and again on my second Knee PT.
