While the food was good, I just felt that I could've had the same experience if l explored myself and was pretty expensive for what it was (almost $70 USD). Many of the dishes we ate were under 50 pesos. However I understand not everyone is comfortable going into local markets/restaurants and ordering, so it might be more worth it for you in that case. I thought our tour guide was just okay. She was nice to talk to when I asked questions but | felt like she didnt add that much value and wasn't that engaging. The complimentary bread was too tough and lacked enough air in the crumb. The complimentary bruschetta on the other hand was excellent, led primarily by very tender and fresh tomato slices and quality olive oil. The fettuccine in the carbonara was fresh, soft, and chewy as I prefer. The sauce was well balanced and quite savory. I was put off ever so slightly by what tasted like canned fish in the sauce. But the fish and mollusks in the dish were all very well executed. And the quality of the pasta earns this meal 5 stars. The lobster was just ok. I'd advise just trying the pasta. The execution on the seafood was only good. Not great.
