That said, my customer service experience was uncomfortable. As an African American woman, I did not feel welcomed. The employee who helped me did not greet me when she turned around. She immediately started ringing me up without saying hello. She also did not hand me my bag. I had to reach over the counter to grab it myself. Small actions matter. A greeting and basic courtesy go a long way. I hope management works on improving the customer experience so everyone feels acknowledged and respected when they walk in.

I…read morebought several 20 ounce pop bottles and 2 small bottles of whiskey (not top shelf) but one was Bulleit brand, and paid about $20. To my surprise, everything on my receipt was discounted! The woman at the register was super nice. It was a random stop for us while passing through, but a nice place to browse, shop, and walk our dogs too. The shirt and souvenir section also had some good variety of items. Now I wish I would have bought a "You are nowhere" shirt, for fun!

When I was filling my vehicle I noticed I was being charged $3.72, 40¢ higher than the signage indicated. I walked over and looked at the sign again thinking I had misread it, but I hadn't. I then noticed the small print on the sign saying that price was only for certain pumps. The neighboring stations were selling their gas for the $3.32 price so it wouldn't raise any flags to customers passing through. Upon mentioning this to the person working the counter I was told "well, it says it on the sign."
