I've only been with Port Property for two-ish months but so far it has only gotten better with time. Once we received our application acceptance, (which was almost immediately) our leasing agents were very prompt with our responses and helpful with questions, particularly Amber and Morgan, the two women I have been the most in touch with. In terms of quality this is definitely the nicest apartment I've ever lived in. The appliances are all modern and clean, the paint colors really bring the space together, and the neighborhood (west end) is so idyllic. My boyfriend and I chose not to have a parking space, so I cannot speak to the parking situations, but it seems like everyone in my building sticks to their space and are friendly with one another. Above all else I love that we can pay rent online. My last property management I went through, you had to pay in person which required a lot more planning. I love that I don't have to worry abut making an extra trip to drop of a check. I always feel safe with my mail and packages, everyone in my building seems to respect everyone else's privacy and information. I have even had neighbors put packages safely inside for me that were left outside, just to be safe. I recently emailed Amber about our heat actually being a bit too warm and she emailed me back within minutes saying she'd put in a work order to the maintenance team ASAP. I am sorry to hear others have had negative experiences with Port Property, but it sounds like they are listening and really have an attentive, kind staff now. read more

Money hungry company that doesn't care at all about the condition of the buildings they're exploiting for profit. In the laundry room they charge you to do your laundry in the place is disgusting and only accepts cash but runs out of quarters to exchange. Left a giant block of ice right in front of the front door to the building for almost a month before finally getting rid of it. My kitchen has a hole in the floor that keeps my fridge tilted and the cheap stick on tile they put down is dingy and peeling up. read more

The time I worked for Port Property and Alex was nothing but awful. I truly do not know where to begin as it was that bad. Alex was/is a very controlling, rude, impatient, demanding, arrogant, selfish individual. His tone of voice was awful and demanding. I have never been treated so portly and talked to so badly by a boss. I never felt as though I was able to ask a question because I knew Alex would just shut it down, or say " I already taught you that once. I shouldn't have to show you again!" Many residents had spoken to myself and maintenance about Alex and actually chose to work with myself or maintenance because they didn't want to deal with Alex. They mentioned his tone was demanding, and he was up right rude, and never took things seriously. Alex held me responsible for the tasks he assigned me(which was very little.) Alex had no trust in me to handle any situation or never found things for me to do when there was down time or when we were slow. Alex is the Property Manager and it is his responsibility to keep his employees busy with work that needs to be completed. I was so bored once I completed my tasks for the day, I thought I was going to go crazy. I am writing this and providing this feedback for many reasons. Alex NEVER took his job seriously but worse did not care at all about his employees. He treats the people he likes and gets along with well. Everyone else is just a number. In summary, I left because Alex is a horrible boss and does not know how to treat his employees with respect. My paychecks were always the incorrect amount. It was not worth fighting with Alex all day, every day. This review and feedback may never be read or taken seriously, but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Alex change how he acts as a boss and his attitude, or let him go, because the next person that works underneath him is going to be trapped. ROACH INFESTED!!!! Do not move into any port property building unless you would like roaches as roommates. Upon the first day of moving into the Shepley building, I found roaches all inside the fridge as well as the kitchen cabinets. There was also old traps and bait left in the cabinets so it was clear port property knew about the issue but just decided to not tell us. Not only were roaches a problem, but my package was opened and part of it was stolen, (I did not have the option to press charges or I would have), and random people were wondering the building asking tenants for tours because they needed a place to live. The building is supposed to be locked at all times... The only people that deserve to live in port property buildings are literal inmates. Save yourself and live literally anywhere else. Port property needs to close. The incompetence is astounding. I unfortunately deleted the videos and pictures of the roaches because it was making me sick. Here is a picture of the infested fridge that they moved from the kitchen into the living room instead of taking it out of the unit/building. Don't Do It These apartments are very beautiful to look at, but the positive experience ends there. The floors and ceilings leaked in the apartment I was in. I dropped my dog's water dish and it leaked to the apartment below. I was charged $500. Average monthly utilities averaged $295.00 for a single person and 748 square feet. The windows are extremely drafty. You will hear everything from the apartment above you, even normal conversation. They accept pets for a hefty monthly rent and then they don't even provide pet-safe salt. My dog burned her paw. You are required to park in the parking structure. There are always people hanging out in the stairwells. The walk from 24 Pearl Street to the parking structure is littered with garbage and cigarette butts. They will take your entire security deposit. My apartment was spotless when I moved out and they charged $350 to clean a spotlessly clean apartment. I cannot stress this enough: The management team is absolutely awful and arrogant. read more

I have rented two different apartments from Port Prop and both have had multiple issues. It will sound comical, but I assure you I am not exaggerating. First off, the apartment wasn't clean when I moved in. The heat has been completely sporadic and it will be less than 60 degrees in my apartment for HOURS before the heat turns on. When the heat turns on, it turns in to a tropical jungle in my apartment, humid AF and unbearably hot (but it doesn't last too long before it gets freezing again. Last winter I called management over 30 times trying to trouble shoot the issue, but there's nothing to be done it's an old building and that's just the way it is. Also, If I had a hundred dollars off my rent every day that I haven't had hot water, I would be thousands richer. It usually doesn't last longer than a day, but it happens somewhat frequently. But at this point my apartment hasn't had hot water since Friday (it is now Sunday), despite the "hot water is back on e-mail" Port Prop sent to all tenants Friday afternoon. The heat has also barely been on all weekend, I've literally woken up shivering the last two nights). All of the issues listed have been effectively communicated to Port Prop multiple times, but nothing changes and nothing has been done to fix or remedy this issue and the problems keep coming. Aside from all that, they do NOTHING about packages being stolen, and it happens quite often. I have seen countless letters pinned up in the mail room pleading to get their packages returned but management does nothing. There are people that smoke cigarettes inside (usually in the mailroom), and common spaces are dirty AF. The laundry room is disgusting, the machines are never cleaned and the washer has ruined some of my clothes so I have to do all my laundry at the laundromat up the street. Oh I almost forgot, once maintenance just busted through my door without knocking and came IN my apartment. Only to say "whoops this isn't apartment 9". I do not feel safe here, and do not trust that it won't happen again I am currently shivering from the cool shower I just took, in my 58 degree apartment. It's fine though it's only January...in Maine... I will NEVER rent from Port Prop again, and I will advise anyone in my life I care about to do the same. I have been renting with Port Property for 5 months. It started off terribly. Laundry machine did not work, and it took them about a month of constant maintenance requests to actually fix. Maintenance guy himself told me it was his fault because he didn't properly clean and inspect the apartment between rentals. This was obvious, because the majority of the space was not cleaned AT ALL before move-in. Of course, Port Property hides their terrible service by disallowing an in-person viewing before actually signing the lease. They have designed their system to screw over clients from before day-1. They charge $165 a month for a parking space next to the building which they do not monitor. I have come home on many occasions to no available parking spots, even though I'm paying for one, and any complaints I made were sent to the void. Neighbors are extremely loud. I'm talking constant screaming, to the point where I've considered calling the police to investigate child abuse, almost every day of the week, all day and all night. No noise complaints I made to Port Property went anywhere. My mail is constantly stolen. I complained and was told they can not do anything about it. The staff themselves seem to acknowledge their terrible company and miserable lives working for it, and take it out on their lessees. They have not once in all my time here been helpful. Do not rent here. I could list 20 more things wrong with the property, broken promises, false advertising, etc etc. Look elsewhere. read more

Horrible. I currently live at a Port Property unit with over 200+ tenants and the elevator has been out for weeks. They do not care about the less able-bodied people in our building who cannot make it down the stairs. On top of that, our A/C which we all pay for (as listed in the lease) has been out several days and PPM will not even address the issue. STAY AWAY! read more

We rented an apartment in South Portland in the Mill Company Gardens and overall we had a really good experience. We moved in around September 2016 and out June 2017 (relocated to California). Pros: -Apartment felt very spacious -Beautiful hardwood floors -Washer/dryer machine in unit -Great location very close to the Old Port -Option to pay the rent online -Views of the bay right outside -Newer kitchen appliances -Heat was not as expensive as expected due it being electric heating Cons: -You can hear EVERYTHING your upstairs neighbor is doing -Apartment is a bit pricey for the size -Had to pay all utilities I was also pleasantly surprised when we moved out. We had signed a 12 month lease and had to move across country 9 months into it. I gave the prop management company over a months notice of the move and they informed me we would have to pay out the remaining months of our lease, unless it was leased out before that time. Lucky for us less than a month after we moved it was leased out so we did not have to pay the remaining months. read more

Neglected properties which have become a health hazard. On Grant St, we've got rats running around everywhere and the trash piles up to no end. I've complained about a pile of glass for a year they refuse to even acknowledge exists. Power goes out, but the emergency lights are inoperable. Fire extinguishers are all multiple years past inspection. Someone is going to get very hurt. It's insane the city allows these guys to exploit and harm their citizens. read more

I was hesitant to rent from PPM after reading the reviews but decided to give them a try to make my own determination rather than relying solely on reviews. After all, many people only take time to review when they want to complain. First - I had a very positive experience scheduling apartment viewings and Morgan was very helpful and kind while we viewed the different units. The ease of access to view their available rentals online was also appreciated. Second - I felt their policies for applications, credit score decisions and income, etc were fair and reasonable. For people who have only lived in Maine, I could see how this might seem too strict. However, having lived in many large cities with competitive rental markets this was standard to me. Third - Pet policies actually seem pretty easy to me too since many places won't even accept dogs into Portland apartments. The only problem I had related to pets were the pet owners in my building keeping their dogs inside for so long they couldn't wait to get outside to pee by the time their owners were taking them out so thy ended up peeing on the hallway and elevators floors often. PPM responded positively to my requests for them to do something about this since it was gross and embarrassing to have guests see and smell the dog pee when coming to visit me. They had the carpets cleaned and tried to identify the culprits of the disrespected public areas and poor level of care for their pets. Fourth - I never had anyone enter my place without notice, my bike was never touched (it had the proper tag and I followed instructions) and I don't park in areas I am not supposed to do my car was never towed. Fifth - I have been having health challenges and PPM did not show my apartment to prospective tenants in the month before I moved out to ensure my apartment was a restful place to recover. I did not even ask them to do this. They simply wanted to be helpful and considerate. I have had a positive experience with PPM and would recommend them to others! read more

PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING A LEASE WITH THEM An actual health hazard. I lived in a horrendous PPM managed apartment this time last year. The ENTIRE BUILDING (ambassador apartments) is overrun by bed bugs. You can SMELL IT in the units. They're in the walls and the building is so infested that there's no chance they'll ever be able to get rid of it. That's because their method of treating them is pushing them from one apartment to the other. I BEGGED them to treat my room too as the bugs were on my floor but was told "that's not how bed bugs work" (ummm you can Google it and see one million articles saying that it is but okay). I had to move out and throw EVERY SINGLE THING IVE EVER OWNED away. My mental health has suffered IMMENSELY from this incident. Bed bug paranoia is so real. And they are still allowing it to happen to other people. Every time I drive by the building I itch all over thinking about all the poor new people moving in who don't know. Maybe it doesn't bother some people as much but I've never been able to get over it. I will say the girl who I spoke with tried her best to be helpful to me and easy to get ahold of. But she's just an employee, the higher ups need to get it together because this is a public health issue. Please, do not rent one of these apartments. I promise there are places out there that will allow your pets. It is not worth it. read more

My boyfriend and I had previously rented from PPM for a little over 4 years. Our first apartment wasn't so bad, (aside from being small, outdated and very overpriced) until we started having a mold issue in the bedroom that, despite our complaints to management, didn't amount to anything. They acted very nonchalant about it. Our second apartment was essentially a basement, and it would get so damp and humid in the spring and summer months that mold would grow on our stuff and furniture, ruining them. Again, very nonchalant when brought up to management. I had to practically beg for a dehumidifier to use, and even then, it would run our electric bill up, but PPM wouldn't compensate for that. No accountability for mold issues. Not to mention it's unhealthy. I had chronic congestion issues while living in this apartment, and as soon as I moved out it stopped; I have no doubt it was because of this. When we moved into this (2nd) apartment we hadn't even been here a month and noticed an ant infestation, which seemed to have been coming from the outside through an outlet, and this happened EVERY spring. But, when we informed PPM their solution was just to give us ant traps to lay around our apartment, not only is that disgusting, but we had to place them inconspicuously around the place so that our animals couldn't get to them and be poisoned. At the end of our time in this unit we had the noisiest, most ignorant people living above us that seem to have no regard for anyone else around them. Stomping at all hours of the day, even waking us up at early hours on weekend mornings. I should mention that the only reason we stayed with PPM is because it's near impossible to find places to rent that allow both cats and dogs. Most places discriminate against dogs, so you're kind of stuck with a place that does allow pets. I will give them credit for that. My advice to anyone renting is to do your research. It's incredibly frustrating to give your hard earned income to people who don't take things seriously or seem to care about your wellbeing. read more

It's a shame this company manages so many great apartments in Portland because they are the absolute worst. I rented from them for 3 years and can't stress to prospective tenants enough to look elsewhere. In one of my units, I paid for a parking space that PPM would plow snow into after every storm instead of someplace else in the lot. Instead of figuring out a solution, I was given a $50 credit and forced to "figure out where to leave my car" when it snowed. PPM is definitely in the business of managing properties, which may be a shock to people who are more used to mom-and-pop type landlords. I personally really enjoy how thorough their contracts and processes are, and anyone who has dealt with wishy-washy landlords will understand why. The actual process of viewing and renting was very simple, our leasing agent was great, and we knew it was officially ours within about a week, although they took it off the market the day we expressed interest. I haven't had any problems with them, and the one maintenance issue I've had, I reported on a Sunday night and it was fixed by Monday at 10am. It wasn't an emergency so that's really about as fast as I can expect anything to be fixed. read more

I rented from a South Portland PPM location for 4 years. Over that time my grill was confiscated twice, my bikes were confiscated twice, my rent check was misplaced 3 times, the building was flooded by the sprinkler system 3 times, my car was towed out of my own spot once (~$200 to get it back), my apartment was soaked from the people above me 5 times. During one of my trips to the South portland office to recover my grill, a maintenance person told me that he loves this time of year because he gets his pick of any bikes and grills that go unclaimed. With that being said, my apartment was newly refurbished and maitenace was always done in a timely manner. I still would never rent from them again. They jacked up rent almost every year. My boyfriend and I were looking into apartments and the person who showed us places was nice, and polite and if she didn't have the answer to our question she would refer us to another person. However the co-signer process is extremely unsatisfactory. I had two different people attempt to be my co-signed, one was denied due to a bankruptcy 5 years ago (they look 10 years into the past which is too far) and the other one didn't make 3x the amount of rent for the place we were interested in. It was extremely frustrating as we genuinely liked the place we looked at. The girl at the front counter when we went in to discuss the co-signer part was extremely unhelpful and it felt like she was looking down upon us. I would never get a place through them and I've told everyone I've met not to. I've also heard so many people talk about how terrible they are with maintenance and a few of the buildings have extremely small stairs and elevators. (now way to move your things in) The hilarious part of it all was when we looked at the low income housing spaces that they had available these apartments were 10x better, newly renovated, hardwood floors, appliances, more floor space, etc. but because my boyfriend and I are both students we didn't meet the criteria. If they could just readjust their co-signer rules I'm sure that they would have a lot more people who are good renters start renting with them. read more

So here is our story. We looked at a place in south Portland and we loved it so we "pre-leased it" about a month later we decided to back out. The apartment was re posted and re rented within 24 hours. 2 days later we got our deposit back. It was a simple and easy process. We always received a call back and an email to follow up with anything during this process. We dealt primary with Morgan and she was very friendly and helpful. Way too overpriced for a one bedroom. Several times in the summer the garbage would be piled up so high (I was on the 3rd floor) and would leak hot garbage smell into our apartment for days..it was absolutely disgusting. It's a big building and with that comes a lot of different people. Some were great, but I swear the vast majority had mental health issues that was very apparent. Almost called the police on this woman below us SCREAMING like she was getting seriously hurt..turns out she was just "on the phone". I also have been kept awake by kids "partying" in the back parking lot at ungodly hours during the week. Contacted management and they didn't bother to reply which was very bothersome. Also several times I had my laundry thrown on the floor and or stolen from the communal laundry mat on site which I was never compensated for. All in all we made it ours while we were there and on the other hand it was a great location for walking around and getting around town, but other than that, no thanks. read more

I've tried to start writing this review like 3 times and can't seem to quite put into words just how ridiculous dealing with Port Property Management is, ...and I'm not even a tenant. Where do I even begin? I could write about how trying to speak to a live human on the phone is like going on a wild goose chase. Or I could write about how when we mentioned our lease was ending at the end of the year we were told "oh...well if you can't move in right away we're not going to show it to you", and then when we let them know (by voicemail, surprise) we were able to get a more flexible lease term, they replied by email with "if this is true, call us to schedule an appointment"...yeah 'cause we'd totally lie about that.... Or I could talk about how when we inquired about the most expensive apt they have, instead of a friendly "sure when would you guys like to schedule a walk-through?" we got curtly grilled about our income and other pre-qualifying questions. Unfortunately, we did qualify and so our appointment was set, with someone we hadn't talked to or met before who we were instructed to dial for at the door when we arrived. So we came up for our appointment. From Boston. Got there right on time. Rang at the door as instructed and waited. Nothing. Cut to us stuck in the entryway for 15 minutes leaving voicemails at the intercom with a 3 second window to say who we were and why we were there. About ready to give up, we finally called their main office, went through all the phone instructions AGAIN, left a voicemail AGAIN, no response. Called again and got through to someone and they were like "oh... ::nonchalant laughter:: hm let me check and see, it must be Monday!" YEAH...it must be Monday that we took off from work to come see your crappy apartment! SO FUNNY! lololol! Turns out the agent we talked to never communicated with the other girl that we had an appointment. Gahhhhhhh. Finally a guy came to let us in and was like "sorry, we had no idea you had an appointment. Katrina was in here signing a lease with someone so she didn't get the door". I felt bad for him because he was nice and it was clear he was really embarrassed. The unit itself was 'renovated', with crooked, creaky floors. You could tell they tried to do the surface-level things people look for like stainless steel whatnot and ceramic tile, but at this point nothing could redeem this train wreck of an experience. To put icing on the cake, when we were leaving we were like "so are there any other units available that we could take a look at?" (we're gluttons for punishment, apparently) and were taken to meet the mysterious Katrina who was sitting at her desk not signing a lease with anyone, and were immediately asked "how much money do you make?" No "oh hi guys! I'm so sorry things got mixed up, want to have a seat and talk about what you're looking for?" etc. My husband was like "um...::shock/awkward moment:: that's personal but, um... 'enough'...I mean we're not looking for an income restricted unit if that's what you're getting at." (hadn't we been through that in order to even see the unit we'd just seen??) and then she was like "oh... yeah we don't have anything, sorry!" and that was it. There was no "but we manage a zillion properties in the Portland area, would you like me to take your information down and let you guys know if anything opens up?" It seems like they really don't care if they get business or not. We left flabbergasted. If attempting to deal with them as a tenant is even a fraction as difficult and frustrating as attempting to deal with them as a prospective tenant, I pity the poor souls that are trapped in leases with these people. It was so unprofessional from start to finish. I read the yelp reviews beforehand and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but I don't doubt any of these claims now. Thankfully, these guys like, strapped on the bullet proof vests and pushed us out of the way from the steaming bullet of nightmares we would be sure to get shot with if we rented with them. I would STRONGLY recommend you do your research on this company before you decide to sign on a dotted line and do business with them. If you do decide to do business with them be sure to send all rent checks via CERTIFIED MAIL, they like to lose things such as: Rent checks, 60 day notices to terminate your lease in an attempt to lock you in, keep you security deposit, and keep paying monthly rent until the apartment re-rents. They will enter your apartment without 24hrs notice (required by law). I had to purchase a CCTV camera to record these events. Their leasing agents will not provide you with proper notice to enter to show your unit when you are moving out. They don't care that you just got out of the shower. They will also make false statements to police officers stating that you "came at them". Maintenance is HORRIBLE. I wouldn't be surprised if half of their properties are up to code. They OVERCHARGE for rent. you can do better. It's not worth the headaches of taking them to court. (even if you win an out of court settlement against them). Just find another company to rent from. read more

The place was okay, except for the terrible ant problem that they never took care of and they came into the apartment without giving 24 hour notice (illegal). Plus now they are trying to screw her over by charging her for damages that were not her fault and existed when she moved into the apartment. read more

If I could rate a zero star I would. Port Property is by far the worst, non-professional apartment management company I have ever dealt with. And I am from Philadelphia where every management company is somewhat corrupt. They lie about things in their Craigslist ads. I was told I had laundry on the premise and did not. I also had people dealing drugs on the first floor that they did nothing about. It's just plain shady and they milk you for all you are worth. I just got out of their claws, and I have never been happier. I just wish someone would have told me the truth and avoided numerous headaches from them. Just passing this along. Wow! Talk about service! I have been a tenant at port property for a few different apartments over the past few years and it was a lovely experience! Not only was maintenance prompt, but they were were professional and respectful of my space. The leasing agents helped me find a perfect apartment for my budget and in the end, the lease renewal options were clearly communicated. 10/10!! Plus I got my entire security deposit back at the end. Even though they have strict requirements they allowed me to have a cosigner so it all worked out. (Also they make their tenants pass a back ground check so I personally like knowing my neighbor isn't a criminal.) I've rented from a few different companies here in Portland and port property is definitely the leaders in quality and service. read more

I asked prior to signing a lease if the building had any infestation issues especially with bedbugs. I was told no. Now I am being bit, and I will have to deal with all of my items in the house... This is unlawful. read more

I should have checked Yelp before attempting to rent from this company. Everyone is correct with initially being drilled with questions on income and proof of renting. They said it's because they're too "busy"... (too busy not having manners). I, just like the others, had moved a lot of things around in my schedule to be able to view apartment, for them to call me an hour before and tell me the apartment was already rented. Thieves Despite having no issue calling or emailing me on a weekly basis during my ~2 years living on their property, they somehow forgot how to contact me after I moved out and they falsified money owed to them that was never communicated. I had to find out about this months later through seeing a collections agency hit my credit report and drop my score big time. When I called and ask why they didn't simply email/call me (as they had in the past) they said that they mailed something to me but being the geniuses that they are, they mailed it to the address that I no longer lived in. I would have easily paid the ~$100 or so to avoid having a huge hit on my credit score if they had simply contacted me as you would expect any professional company to do. These guys continue to buy up numerous properties in Portland so be very careful when looking for an apartment and do NOT do business with these crooks. read more

Worse than my property management company in NYC!!! I'm going to keep this short. One of the reasons I left NYC and moved to Portland was so that I didn't have to deal with horrible landlords and companies that could care less about doing good business. The way they handled the rental process was beyond unprofessional, and they were impossible to get on the phone once they rented the space I was under contract for out from under me. I assume they received a hirer offer, but it's still unknown as they never got back to me after... No notice or opportunity for me to counter, they just let me know someone had dropped a check on the office I was under contract for, and then refused to pick up the phone to let me know what happened. I'm happy to say if this is how they treat potential renters, I feel grateful that I dodged a massive bullet. read more

Promised they would install a washer/dryer in my unit over a year ago. Whenever I would call to get an update on when it would happen they said the part they needed was back ordered. I don't think it was backordered for over a year?? Way overpriced for very small apartments. Management isn't that helpful. read more

Strike one: Their maintenance crew painted my roommate's parking spot and did not put a wet paint sign. My roommate therefore tracked paint into our apartment. We got a notice saying that we needed to pay for the damages, and when we confronted the issue about the lack of a sign, they told us we still needed to pay. Strike two: Noticed our fossett in our bathroom was leaking, put down a towel and the next morning walked to their office to put in a maintenance request. (Keep in mind you c a n n o t reach them by phone as they give you an endless round of voicemail dead ends and "we will call you back"s.) Come back home after a few days away during Thanksgiving to an aggravated text from our poor downstairs neighbors who's roof had been leaking all night, presumably from our bathroom fossett. Apparently maintenance had come at f o u r A M to fix the issue, and only came after our neighbors had complained. So they ignored our first maintenance request, and only came when the issue had expanded to our neighbors. Strike three: We had one parking spot that was included in the rent and paid for a parking spot in the lot behind our building. The first time they plowed, we received an email notification the night before so we were able to clear our cars out of the lot. The second time, I received an email notification at 8:30am, saying that they would be plowing the lot from about 5-7am.... that same morning. And they didn't even plow the lot. Weird. So the last time they plowed the lot, it had snowed a modest amount the night before. I walked outside to see my car was gone. Then I walked down to the office to ask why my car was towed and was told that they had plowed the night before. I asked when they usually send email notification to move our cars, and was told that usually they send notification at 5pm the night before but they tell their tenants not to rely on the e-mail notifications and to instead to check their website. So why send an E-mail in the first place? Bonus round: My roommate and I paid rent via the Dropbox outside their office on the weekend one month. Big mistake. That week we got a notice saying that we had five days to pay our late rent or leave. So they had l o s t my check for $1100 dollars. Anyway. We highly recommend that you, your parents, your friends, your co-workers, and everybody that you walk by on the street do not rent from PPM. I've never actually written a yelp review before, either. Nor have I felt so obligated to be more vocal about ensuring everyone I know doesn't go through the same stuff we did renting from PPM. Their apartments are beautiful, but think of them like a group of sirens on a rock at sea. You're lured in with promises of beauty but inevitably ripped apart and left for the crows to peck out your eyes. read more
