Out of nowhere, she asked, 'Do people in your country eat cats?' I was shocked. I had thought she was well-educated and would not ask a question reflecting such outdated perceptions from the 1990s. Her words truly hurt me. After that, her attitude towards me became strange, making me feel uncomfortable. Every minute I spent in her clinic after that was agonising. Such harmful language has made me feel like I can no longer communicate with others. Just because I come from a different country, should I be asked such strange questions?
