Autrefois les navires de pêches y mouillaient tranquillement. Aujourd'hui, seuls quelques "pointus" exercent encore, bien alignés devant le môle Jean Réveille. Et ce sont maintenant les navires des hommes et femmes les plus fortunés de la planète qui occupent les quais et les conversations.

We were told that when we come back at 2pm, we would get 10 Euros back in casino credit. Sadly that was not the case. We also opened a players card (loyalty card) in the next door's small casino and found out as a member, there was NO fee to enter.... Either way, happy for the overall visit. Won gambling! Had my James Bond Vodka Martini! Life is good. Ambiance - See pictures. Service - Good. Price - 20 Euros or become a member for free in the small casino next door and enter for free. The slots area shut down from 12-2pm so we went for lunch next door. We lost a combined $500 in about 10 minutes and didn't see anyone win anything. It's walking distance to the train station and the view of the very luxurious yachts was something to see.

Imes de Lérins is the smaller of the two and we have been told less touristy. An oases of peace and tranquillity, a world away from the hustle and bustle of the Riviera. Pack a picnic or enjoy food and wine from a cafe, the only one on the island. Hike through beautiful paths that lead to a historic castle, an Abbey, church, cafe and gift shop. The scenery is breathtaking. The flowers, wildlife and water views are spectacular. No flushing toilets, an open pit in the bathroom awaits those I need. Just remember to lean or you will wet your shoes.
