During a short stop in Sevilla, we went on a search for tiles from Triana and ended up at a small, winding shop in the Santa Cruz barrio based in a New York Times article related to tile shopping in Sevilla and Lisbon. The tiny storefront hid the true nature of the store, which we saw expand further and further as its tile and pottery-filled rooms looped back and around to showcase a wide variety of products. We were in search of a tile to remind us of the Alhambra, and found one that featured the solid colors and geometric patterns prevalent in Moorish architecture. The store owner explained that tis tile was special and different from the rest, which were comprised of a wide area of styles, new and old. Overall, this shop featured nice, albeit a bit pricey, tile and pottery products with a helpful owner to help you find what you're looking for. read more
