The manager in just to see me, told me he didn't receive funding, and they hadn't space. When I said I 'll pay, she took me into the office and told me the price for 5 hours in the morning. But when I said that my son had just received the council founding, and if in my case I could deduce paying the difference of the amount. She returned to say that hadn't place for founding. I really didn't understand, because if I'm needing attention for 5 hours to my son, and the council will pay 3 hours, what's wrong with I pay the difference of that amount. I think that the council pays £46 a week and I have to pay £54, and if the council is paying, what's wrong with I pay the difference totalling £400 (I will be paying the same amount of £ 400 per month). I really felt discriminated against and this has been the second time, because I've been in this nursery once before, when I went my son was two and I was going to pay for part time 5 days and they didn't give me form for this on the waiting list or any resolution. And the same situation happened with one of my friend from Brazil.

The party was very well ran and really well organised the whole operation was very slick and they do a decent cup of coffee too and they didn't look at me like I was a weirdo when I asked for decaff - huzzah! I didn't eat anything but the food I saw looked really nice. They also did crafts with the children to break up the party a bit, it would have been nice if a member of staff had lead this session rather than just dumping teh stuff and leaving teh parents and kids to it. The place was really clean and the loo's were spotless, very important to note this when toddlers are using the loo too! Also it was busy but there wasn't the usual wall of noise that just beats you down and makes you weary and gives you a tension headache, the noise was well absorbed because its a long building with a low roof.

I genuinely feel this is the best nursery the area has to offer, after having experienced 2 others locally also. My son was made welcome despite having joined late in the year, and made friends with whom he is close to this day. The building is beautiful, the car park is very organised, making it optimally safe for the children as they are dropped off/collected. The gardens to the rear are extensive, and have a wonderful wooden climbing frame, with a cargo net on the slope which the children can enjoy exploring. There is also an infant care facility which I didn't have experience with, but by all accounts it seems very proficient. The management are very accommodating and organised. I really can't recommend this nursery enough. My son was only there for a short time but had a wonderful bond with his main teacher, Miss Amanda R, who was very lovely, (as were the rest of the ladies.)
