I started with the Quinta do Encontro Baga & Merlot, a dark red Portuguese wine with spicy hints. I then had a glass of excellent Chakana Organic Syrah, which had some chocolate flavors. All this was accompanied by Neil Young music in the background. I hope this quiet but unique and innovative concept will be kept as it is, it works perfectly fine for me.

I tried to bring my parents here for lunch however as soon as we walked through the door, the staff behind the counter didn't waste a moment of our time and informed us that there were no tables. We were disappointed but got around to doing some other shit and then by the time we were finished, figured we could go back to see if things had opened up. Fortunately, they had and we were able to snag a table easily. By this time, it was dangerously close to dinnertime and in the interest of having enough gastric space for dinner, we were light with this "snack". Both I and one of my dining companions ordered one of their soups. I don't recall much of the specifics other than the fact that it was green and delicious. Two of my other dining companions ordered the "veggie balls" which I had a chance to try, they were quite good. The veggie sushi was also ordered and received positive reviews. The inside/entrance area is really cool and they have a really impressive menu with tons of stuff. One of the meals was their set menu which included white asparagus for a starter, flank steak for a main and some ice cream for dessert. I think it was worth the money and everything tasted really nice. In addition we got a starter of the fried sweetbreads which certainly have a unique taste which I still can't say if I liked or dislikes. It was certainly good but maybe I was blown away. For a main I got the vegetable risotto which was cooked perfectly had plenty of veggies in it. The desserts was an ice cream and just average really. They have an extensive wine list as well as plenty of cocktails or beer. Just about anything you would want your meals here. We would've liked it if they had some kind of wine pairing with the meals. In the end I chose a good one so it didn't matter much. We would certainly love to go back if we were in Ghent again.

I came twice once to have a fruity tea and the other time to eat as I went to pick up my friends at the station gent dampoort. Both times were amazing. Loved drinking my tea with a little Belgium chocolate they give you. For dinner we got clams, sea bass with cucumbers, falling off ox tail, and zucchini salad.
