We really liked the different options of stone sizes they had. The owner/operator was very nice. When we came they were completely out of the plant business and only doing soil, mulch and stone. We ordered the stone to be delivered in the beginning of the week and it was dropped to our house Saturday afternoon.. that was quick! The owner said if we needed a pail or two more to just stop in. We did end up needing a little more (our bad estimate) and they gladly gave it to us, no questions asked. We are very pleased with the experience. We cut the holes in the lids of the storage boxes for the pots, and drilled a hole for the airline. Tomorrow we spray paint the clear totes, and get our plants in the water. An ice storm is coming, so I called around, but other small engine repair shops touch it. since the storm is to hit three days from now I needed service on short notice. Their rep told me to bring it in, and they would try to get it worked on ASAP. I took it in around 10:00 this morning, and they fixed it by 1:00 this afternoon! When pricing out a mower I found myself looking at a Toro 54" at Lowes. I like doing business with…read moresmall local businesses so I chose Dickens as the price was the same and they offered a winter warranty service. It was described as a service that looks over the mower and repairs or replaces any issues found under warranty . I received a text saying the winter service was almost over so i called and got on the schedule. The mower only had 13.1 hrs on it and I just changed the oil and filter at 13hrs. I shared that when it was picked up. Today I received a call that the service was done and it was $329. The manager said I misunderstood the text as this was for a "service" not the selling point "warranty service". After a heated discussion the manager said he'd take off the oil change so $250. After I shared I'd be informing others of their way of doing business he said you can come and get it (obviously return delivery was not available to me anymore). At the store the manage put the price back at $329. He said if you're gonna share how we do business then I'm not going to cut you a break. So I suppose my silence would have saved me $79. There are several options when looking to spend over $4k on a mower. Don't get caught up in the fancy "double speak". At the end of the day their just another business taking advantage of the customer .

Not having heard anything from Home Depot or the installer, I called Caleb four days later. Caleb assured me he would contact the installer. Three or four days later I called back. Caleb said he was giving the issue to McKenna. Several days latter McKenna assured me she would get back to me within a few days and would contact the installer. Days later I heard nothing back from her or the installer. On the 30th of December, 32 days latter I received call from a garage door company in Knoxville, who told me they would have a $150 up charge because of the distance to travel in addition to the regular installation charge. However, they told me that they believed the charges were being taken care of by Home Depot. I thought at least Home Depot is doing the right thing, even though they didn't bother to call and inform me. Rather than to assume this was correct, I drove the 50 mile round trip back to the Maryville. TN. Home Depot and talked to Caleb. He was very arrogant and dismissive. He said the only thing he could do would be to dismiss the companies travel charges. This, after waiting thirty two days to get a garage door opener installed!?! I asked to speak to the store manager. I explained the situation to Jeff. I also mentioned that given this bad experience, I was going to write a letter to the CEO and post a negative Google review. Jeff put his hands up and said, I don't care what you do. I don't care if you write a review or not. He then proceeded to do the right thing and dismiss the charges. If Jeff would simply have said, you are right, we are sorry for this inexcusable experience. We will addresss what happened and train our employees to take ownership, to follow-up in a timely manner. If this would have been Jeff's response, I would have been happy. Instead Jeff told me in no uncertain terms, he could care less. Effectively Jeff is saying I don't give a s*** about your negative experience! As a veteran, I have been a fan of Home Depot for many decades. Never have you been so dismissive, unempathetic and arrogant in terms of addressing an issue. We have spent a lot of money with Home Depot over the years and we were about to purchase kitchen granite tops, counter backsplash, etc. from you. From here on in, we will find a more customer oriented, customer responsive company to deal with for all future purchases. Cearly not that Jeff cares and more than likely, not that today's Home Depot's management team cares, but this is the review I will send to your CEO and post to google reviews, Home Depot review as well as other social media outlets.
