Apparently he got in a fight a few weeks ago, and got his teeth knocked out, he was only able to afford one fake tooth, but he is hoping someday he will be able to get them all replaced. When asked for ID, I presented my Federal Tribal ID card, which I have always been proud to offer. The clerk said he can only accept it if I produced a birth certificate to go along with it. While explaining that our Tribal Id's come with holographic imprint, our social security number, birth date, full name, address, and tribal affiliation, the clerk raised his voice at me and barked "We are trained not to accept federal tribal id's!" Several nearby cashiers heard the commotion and chimed in agreement, loudly telling me and my girlfriend to leave. The manager, Sam, rushed toward me with unnecessary force and yelled, "You need to leave!" As a fellow local business owner I was surprised at the hostility Happy Harry's employees are allowed to display towards customers. I left humiliated, without the wine, that ironically, was for the holiday that celebrates Native Americans accepting the White Man, by offering dinner...probably with wine.
