Today and tomorrow, May 31 and June 1, 2025. Held at the Ohio Expo Center, in I think the Lausche Building, just west of the main fair entrance and south of the big parking lot. Not a cat show in the sense of loads of cats in competition, more of a cat culture exhibition. Rescue groups, cat toys and treats and trinkets for sale, art and craft activities for kids and adults, and more.
Kid K LOVED it, and I enjoyed it. There was a bit of a punk/counterculture edge to it, with mildly naughty T-shirts ("I love kitties and beer") and a bit of LARPing going on with people dressed in cat-inspired clothes. Plus you could bring your own cat, and a few people did, in strollers or even just in their arms. Doubt ours would tolerate that, but these seemed fine.
Super friendly and helpful staff. The other patrons were fun and pleasant. It was moderately busy but not crowded. K got her face painted ($10, no line somehow.) Schmidt's had a food stand. The whole thing was fun. Basic ticket was I think $15, some activities had fees and could be bundled with a ticket. Parking was $7 but that's partly due to other events on site; traffic was a bit slow.
We'll definitely go back if they do it here next year. And maybe bring the most laid-back cat we have. read more
