The good: Super tasty, a bazillion flavors, handmade, simple and real ingredients. The bad: We went specifically because it has "frozen yogurt" right there in the name and my eldest loooooves ice cream but due to lactose intolerance he needs frozen yogurt. So we are always happy and excited to find frozen yogurt or find lactose free ice cream in something other than vanilla or, worse, sugar free vanilla. He wants chocolate, dang it! So, rude surprise...no frozen yogurt. My eldest once again had to get frozen fruit when all he wanted was chocolate frozen yogurt. Huge bummer. Felt like false advertising. And the seating is not conducive to sitting in and eating. Bench seating. Benches are covered in cloth and therefore very stained from all the frozen pops. The popsicles are all handmade by the place, and there a lot of different flavors, some of them very unorthodox. For example, there was a pineapple jalapeño flavor, and even one for dogs. I assume the flavors rotate, or at the very least change regularly, so what was there when I went may not be there when you go. The owner (I assume he was the owner) was friendly. He always asked if you had been there before when you first walked in, and if not he gave you a whole spiel on the various flavors. The right side was fruit based (meaning they won't have any dairy or cream), and the middle and left side was all ice cream, dough, etc. He also had some with liquor for the adults. The popsicles themselves were tasty. I had a lemon cake flavored popsicle, my mom had a peanut butter M&M, my dad had a pineapple jalapeño (arguably the most disgusting thing I personally can imagine in a popsicle, but to each his own), and my brother had a strawberry one. He also dipped it in chocolate - something available for all popsicles except the ones that were already dipped (like my lemon cake one) or the liquor ones. The inside of the place wasn't the most conducive to indoor seating. The seats were all just one big bench that wrapped around the place. However, it was comfortable in there, and had some good decorations on the walls. But here we are and I'm here to tell you that Pop Brothers is pretty darn good. My first few experiences with Pop Brothers were somewhat underwhelming. A big part of that is that I had never actually tried a popsicle. You see Pop Brothers not only has a stand alone location, they sell via their mobile carts at all the big events along the coast. Sure the kids loved the different flavors, but I didn't get why a popsicle was $3-4. All of that changed when I finally had one for myself. Pop Brothers has so many different flavors that their menu scrolls through several screens of a giant TV mounted above their coolers. We got, Funky Monkey (peanut butter, banana and chocolate), Very Berry Lemonade (fruit and lemonade), and for me, a German Chocolate. Holy mackerel! That is all I could exclaim when I took my first lick. My pop legitimately tasted like German Chocolate cake. There were actual pieces of coconut in the pop. That thing was so good that I don't even think popsicle is a good enough description. It was so much more than those multicolored things I've had in my freezer three years for my kids. So I loved mine. So my kids loved theirs. So the service was friendly and prompt. Why only four stars? The price. I know I just raved about how good these things were, but for three popsicles with a $1 tip I spent almost $14. Maybe I am just old fashioned and have zero clue what goes into making them. This place deserves more than 5 stars! We stopped in on a whim during our trip to the gulf and the popsicles were amazing! First, they are homemade and all natural. Second, there are so many choices. Not only are these pops made with organic ingredients, but they come in some awesome flavors: strawberry lemonade, key lime pie, and honey and lavender just to name a few. Our experience here was simply delightful. We heard of this place, which to my understanding opened just last year, through word of mouth and of course Yelp! itself. We walked in at a good time since no one else was in there. The owner greeted us right away and was incredibly friendly. He explained to us how they make their Popsicles fresh, use local fruits, cane sugar, no chemicals, etc. He was very thorough in his explanation, which was awesome in itself. We decided to each get one Popsicle. I got the Oreo Cheesecake and my girlfriend got the Reese's Peanut Butter Cheesecake dipped in white chocolate. Both were very, very tasty. The flavors were unique and the Popsicles were excellent quality (and size); they make them in-house. You can choose from fruit-base or cream-base Popsicles. For the last 3 hours I've been wondering how to get a dozen pops back with me to New York. I guess I could bring an igloo container as my personal carry on? They sell dry ice for a buck. What nice things can I say about this place that haven't already been said? I absolutely love the pops here. Granted, they're not all the best, but they have many that are pretty darn good. I love that they have pops for dogs, too! The staff is really friendly and polite. The venue is clearly being worked on to give it a better appearance and it's looking very nice! When it comes to the price, yes, it's over priced if you expect the price of a Walmart popsicle. It's a popsicle shop, of course it's above average on prices because it's their specialty. My husband and I have driven past this place a few times and I have always wanted to go in. By chance we stumbled upon these pops at the Margaritaville in Biloxi. It was a super hot day so we figured, why not cool off with some local pops? They were a little pricey at $4.00 a pop but we figured it was better to support local businesses.
