I just wanted to comment on a situation that I had with Pony Express in Erie, Pa. My brother in law used them to ship a very important painting to me after the loss of my mother. This painting hung over the fireplace for over 40 years. To me this painting meant "home". Not thinking that anything could happen, my brother in law only insured the painting for $150.00, just in case the glass got broken. Well, the glass got broken and when that happened, it scratched the painting in several spots when it slid down. I was heart broken when I opened the package. I took the painting to a local Art Restoration place here in Melbourne FL. They said they could fix most of it, only one spot couldn't be repaired but it was close to the edge of the painting, so they could cover that with matting. The original painting didn't have matting, but what can you do?! Long story short, a month later the painting was restored and it looks very good. I sent a copy of the bill to Pony Express in Erie. Even though the repair bill was considerably more than the insured amount, Pony Express stood up and reimbursed me the full amount of the repair. They didn't have to do that, but they did. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. Having a problem with a company is one thing, it happens every day, but for a company to stand behind their product above and beyond is commendable and rare to see in this day and age. I frequent this business often. It is close to home and therefore convenient. The staff is very helpful in determining the fastest and most cost effective way to get my packages where they are going. Your staff knows how to compare rates and quickly advise the best way to send something. They can determine aspect ratio and thickness and compute the rates. The layout of the store and "impulse" items are right where they need to be and are well selected. A great example of owners who "read the book" and are doing it right. JB, Erie read more

Super packing and shipping! I had to send a wax doll head to Michigan from Erie for repairs. The man doing the work received the head and was very impressed with the attention to detail in packing. I highly recommend Pony Express and will certainly use again for all of my shipping needs! read more

Took my package first to a franchise UPS store, and when I was told what they were going to charge to package and ship my item I took it to Pony Express. As it turns out, the cost was half of what the UPS store was going to charge! Quite a difference. I highly recommend Pony Express. read more

Great service. Card collections fit a variety Of needs and small gift selection is unique...especially for children. FedEx, USPS and UPS pickups are convenient and unlike the Post Office, any lines move extremely fast for customer convenience. read more
